Mary-Kate Olsen may not have had any interest in reprising her role as Michelle Tanner for Fuller House but it could be because she’s busy populating her own abode. Yes, that’s our very awkward way of saying Mary-Kate is reportedly pregnant with her first child. To be fair, this rumor originated in Star magazine, so it should probably be taken with a cannister of salt. Also, as far as we can tell the indication Mary-Kate’s given that she’s knocked up is the fact that she went to the 2016 MET Gala and didn’t spend the night sucking down Marlboro Reds and pinot grigio: “Not only did Mary-Kate steer clear of alcohol, she didn’t smoke a single cigarette,” an insider tells the tabloid. “We all started wondering if she was hiding a baby bump underneath that oversize coat.” In November, Mary-Kate married Olivier Sarkozy , a 46-year-old businessman and half-brother of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, and he’s reportedly been eager to have a baby with Olsen since they first got hitched. “Olivier knew very early on that he wanted to start a family with her, but Mary-Kate was a little hesitant at first,” revealed the source. The insider adds that throughout most of her relationship with Sarkozy, MK was thoroughly devoted to her business ventures: “She’s got her hands full with the fashion line,” says the source. If the rumors are true, it would be the third child for Sarkozy, who has a 14-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. “Mary-Kate takes her role as stepmother to those kids very seriously,” the source says. “Helping out with Julien and Margot taught her a lot about being a parent. There’s no doubt that she is going to make an amazing mother.” The insider says Mary-Kate is also prepping for motherhood by taking the best possible care of herself: “Mary-Kate’s said goodbye to alcohol, cigarettes, and coffee and signed up for yoga and aerobic classes. Staying healthy is her first priority right now.” Of course, that could just mean she’s decided to adopt a healthier lifestyle, but it’s more fun to speculate that she’s pregnant, so let’s go with that!
