A funeral is set for 11 a.m. Thursday for U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Perry, a giant of a civil rights lawyer who toiled relentlessly to dismantle legal segregation in South Carolina and then went on to become the state’s first black federal judge. Perry died of natural causes Friday just days before his 90th birthday. His body was discovered at his home on Sunday by a family friend. At his death, he was serving as a senior U.S. District Court judge, working every weekday in the downtown Columbia courthouse that was dedicated in April 2004 and bears his name. Oprah Wants You To Attend Her Class & “OWN Your Life” The funeral, which will be held at Brookland Baptist Church in West Columbia, is expected to draw hundreds of mourners, including federal judges from across the country, lawyers and judges in South Carolina, current and former law clerks and his many clients, who were involved in sit-ins and demonstrations that marked the 1950s and 1960s civil rights era. Gov. Nikki Haley has ordered flags at the State House to be lowered to half-staff on the day of his funeral, her spokesman Rob Godfrey said. The Rev. Charles Jackson Sr., Brookland’s pastor, will deliver the eulogy, said I.S. Leevy Johnson, owner of Leevy’s Funeral Home, which is handling the arrangements. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery at the family plot. “All of his law clerks will serve as active pallbearers and members of the state and federal judiciary will be honorary pallbearers,” said Johnson. The funeral home is working with the U.S. Marshal’s Service to ensure security at the church, which seats 3,500. Perry’s home church, Zion Baptist, could not seat the anticipated crowd. Jesus Take The Wheel: Irate Church-Goer Interrupts Mass To Talk Ish About Shady Racist Pastor!

Ever seen a racist, homophobic, Mets fan, Pastor, school teacher? Here he goes… Cops were called to Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Fordham after a church-goer interrupted the service to call for the removal of Frank Borzellieri as principal of the parish school. “I wanted them to feel my sense of outrage that he was brought into the community to teach,” said Juan Varela, 54, who was arrested yesterday on disorderly conduct and weapons possession charges and spent seven hours in police custody. Varela, who is Catholic but lives in Queens, said he sat in a pew during the 10 a.m. Mass. At one point he stood up, walked to the altar, faced parishioners and began railing against Borzellieri. “This church hired a racist. This church does not like Hispanics and blacks,” one police source quoted Varela as saying. Cops said he initially refused to leave, but finally complied. He said he was kicked from behind by ushers at the back of the church as he tried to exit. He was picked up by police about two blocks away. Varela was charged with criminal possession of a weapon – a knife – and disorderly conduct, cops said. Damn a knife in church, sounds like Varela planned to “lay hands” on this pastor if he got close enough. Peep what the good ol’ pastor was kickin’ The News revealed Sunday that Borzellieri, 48, was quietly hired two years ago as principal of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School despite his controversial writings. In his 2004 book – “Don’t Take it Personally: Race, Immigration, Crime and Other Heresies” – Borzellieri declared “diversity is a weakness” and that America’s rising black and Hispanic populations will lead to a “New Dark Age.” He has also written for the white supremacist publication American Renaissance. As a city school board member representing District 24 in Queens from 1993 to 2002, Borzellieri tried to ban literature he labeled “anti-American” from school libraries. One of the books he targeted was an biography on the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. He also introduced a resolution calling for students to be taught that U.S. culture is superior, and he advocated the removal of an openly gay teacher from the classroom at Public School 199 in Sunnyside. So the Catholic church is just going to act like their new pastor isn’t a hate-monger, bigot, racist piece-of-s#!t? Damn, they’re a tough crowd. Racist AND child molesting, Jesus wouldn’t do that… Source

Lea Michelle’s Shitty Bikini Body of the Day

I understand why this bitch is famous…She since show tunes and gay dudes love show tunes….not to mention she’s on the gayest show on TV and gay dudes love gay shows…especially when they are teenage gay dudes, who didn’t exist when I was in High School or they’d get beat the fuck up, but who are in abundance thanks to shows like Glee and Gaga and all the other things that make gay cool….meaning that her fame has nothing to do with her looks, or lack there of… But I have heard straight dudes talk about how they’d like to fuck her, or that they watch Glee for the hot chick, in reference to Lea Michelle, or that they think the bitch from Glee is awesome…and to that I say…if you’re one of those people…you may just be a homo…or like most dudes I know….very willing to fuck ugly tail…cuz it’s better than no tail…even if it is a troll looking bitch who may have a fucking tail….if you know what I mean…. My name is Sarah. I was born March 29, 1996 and I’m 15…

My name is Sarah. I was born March 29, 1996 and I’m 15 years old. When I was 2, I was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Not many people have heard about it and sometimes it makes me feel different from all the other kids I knew. Last year, my parents sent me to a treatment center connected with my school and said it was for kids who have matured and I will be there for the rest of the school year. Turns out, it was a treatment center for kids with bad problems. Some kids tease me and send death threats to me. Even though the school year already ended, I’m still there and I’m staying there maybe until January. I really felt like I was going to die and my life was over. I was madly in love with Justin Bieber and that was one of the things the kids teased me about. Even the staff teased me about it. They would call me “Sarah Bieber” or “Rosenbieber.” I felt miserable there. Some kids even drew on my Justin posters that I could not replace. Then one day I was doing art group there and a staff member told me that Justin Bieber was coming to Los Angeles that weekend for a book signing and I could go to it I my parents. I was thrilled. I called my parents right away to tell them. They told me I had school that day and they couldn’t take me to get the tickets. I had totally forgot about that, I was in my school’s Halloween fashion show that day and couldn’t miss out. Boy, I was surprised the next day when my mom came into my classroom and told me she got tickets to the signing for me, my cousin, and two friends to go and meet Justin Bieber! My mom had got up at 4:00 in the morning to go to The Grove and wait in line with a bunch of teenage girls and their moms to get the tickets. The tickets were $50.00 person and she also got one for herself cause all of us were under 18, so my mom spent over $100.00 so I can meet my dream man. At the signing, Justin was very nice. I waited 3 hours! I usually can’t stand waiting so long, but this was worth it. The best part was he put his arm around me! I was speechless the whole time! I even wrote a couple songs about it. I wrote a song called, “If This Was a Movie” about the day I met Justin. I will never forget the day that I actually felt special even though I had autism. Justin taught me to never give up on my dreams. My dream is to be a successful singer or actress. Because of Justin, I will never give up on that dreams. I hope he hasn’t forgotten about me! The picture I have of us together is on Twitter and Facebook! Every time I feel like a loser or I’m about to give up on something, I just look at the picture of us and remember what he has taught me. Someday I will achieve my dreams. I will never say never! Read more: My name is Sarah. I was born March 29, 1996 and I’m 15…

As much as we squee over the adorable aspects of Ryan Gosling, like bringing his dog George to visit Jimmy Fallon or being our fantasy husband in Blue Valentine (well, right up until the end scene), we also need to be reminded sometimes that he is also a cut-from-marble example of hard-core badassry.
