Custody Cancelled: Matt Barnes Granted SOLE Legal Custody Of Twins With Gloria Govan

(Photos by Tibrina Hobson/Cassy Athena/Getty) Gloria Govan Loses Custody Of Her Children This divorce is nasty! Gloria Govan’s custodial rights have been revoked as of today. A California judge just granted Matt Barnes sole legal and physical custody of their twin 10-year-old sons according to a breaking TMZ report . After granted Barnes sole custody of the kids, the judge ordered ex-wife Govan to complete 26 sessions of anger management and 10 parenting classes. Matt also reportedly obtained an 18-month restraining order against Gloria claiming she’s a physical danger to him. But Gloria doesn’t TOTALLY lose out on raising her kids. The restraining order was granted through May 2020 but does not extend to the kids. The judge doesn’t believe Gloria poses a danger to them. Gloria will get regular visitation — that is every other weekend from Friday until Monday morning. She is also allowed to have dinner with the kids every Wednesday evening. This decision comes after months of bickering back in forth inside and outside of the courtroom over their children. The exes had an explosive argument that resulted in Gloria’s arrest. Matt reported she allegedly flew into a rage in her car , blocking Matt and the kids from driving away from their school. Gloria’s charges for criminal child endangerment were dropped. This decision is good news for Matt Barnes who was looking to lower his $20,000 a month child support payments. Matt recently filed documents claiming he pays tuition and takes care of all the necessities for his kiddies. Right now, Matt makes $161,000 per month (until 2020), according to docs obtained by The Blast . Whew, child!

She is running for governor of Georgia on a campaign to expand Medicaid, enact sensible gun laws, protect public schools from privatization and much more. Her opponent, Brian Kemp  — Georgia’s secretary of state who oversees elections — wants to make healthcare less accessible, repress the right to vote and give people even more access to guns, including the AR-15 automatic weapon used in the Pittsburgh synagogue massacre. In addition, Kemp has been accused countless times of voter suppression and even former President Jimmy Carter called on Kemp to resign as secretary of state . But now, because Abrams was slightly ahead in the polls, Trump was directing his nonstop lies at her. So Sad: A Fistfight Between Two Students At A North Carolina High School Ends With A Fatal Shooting

Getty Images High School Fight Ends With One Student Shooting Another In Hallway One fistfight between two North Carolina high school students took a terrible turn on Monday after one of them pulled out a handgun and fired at his classmate in a crowded hallway before the start of classes, according to authorities. The alleged shooter was identified as a male student at David W. Butler High School in Matthews–a suburb southeast of Charlotte–and was quickly taken into custody, police said. “There are no other threats or dangers to any of the students or staff, or anyone in the area of the school,” Captain Stason Tyrrell of the Matthews Police Department told reporters near the school. “I can just tell you that the shooter was taken into custody by Matthews Police Department, and his family is aware as well,” he assured students and the community. Following the horrific incident, the school briefly went into a lockdown as the wounded student (who was also not identified by police) was rushed to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. The student died there a few hours later. Surveillance video shows the two students getting into a fight before the shooting happened, according to Tyrrell. “From what I’ve seen and the information I’ve received, our school resource officer was very nearby when it took place, and the situation became under control very quickly,” he added. Clayton Wilcox, Charlotte Mecklenburg School Superintendent, said that the school did not have a policy of searching every bag that enters the school prior to this incident, but added that all security procedures would be reviewed following the shooting. “I don’t know how a young person gets a handgun in the state of North Carolina,” Wilcox said to reporters. “But we are going to look into all those things, and we will do our best to make sure that this never happens again.”

Diddy Donates $1M To Fund New Bronx Charter School

M ogul Sean Diddy Combs has been a fierce advocate for adequate education in underserved communities. Nearly a year after opening a charter school in his hometown Harlem, he recently announced that he will donate $1 million for the creation of a school in the Bronx, Variety reported. Sean ' @Diddy ' Combs Pledges $1 Million to Fund New School in the Bronx https://t.co/6yOEdZLEIn — Variety (@Variety) October 24, 2018 The school—which will be a part of the Capital Preparatory Schools—is the charter school’s third location, the news outlet writes. There are currently two schools in Connecticut and New York which serves students in grades Kindergarten through 12. All of the students—many of whom are from low-income households and are the first to go to college in their families—have gone on to further their education at post-secondary schools. Capital Prep Bronx, which is slated to open its doors during the fall of next year, will start off by accepting nearly 200 6th and 7th grade students and aims to serve 650 students over the first five years. This educational initiative is being spearheaded by educator Dr. Steve Perry . “Mr. Combs wanted to open schools to develop leaders. What he’s done with his investment is embody what we expect students to do, which is to invest their resources in our communities,” Dr. Perry told the news outlet. He added that the students, faculty and parents are grateful for his donation and that Combs’ commitment to leveling the playing field when it comes to quality education is inspirational. Combs says using his platform and resources to push education forward is something that’s personal to him. “I came from the same environment these kids live in every day,” he said. “I understand the importance of access to a great education, and the critical role it plays in a child’s future. Our school provides historically disadvantaged students with the college and career skills needed to become responsible and engaged citizens for social justice.” Combs isn’t the only celebrity that is advocating for education in his hometown. Earlier this year, Will Smith was honored with a larger than life mural in Philadelphia and now he’s selling merchandise that features the mural imagery to raise money for a local school. According to TMZ , Rhode Island Attorney General candidate Alan Gordon sent North Kingstown High School into a frenzy when he angrily railed against the use of the word “marijuana” and likened it to using the workd “ni**er”. Gordon is a part of something called the Compassion Party and is BIG on the legalization of mari-…that loud pack. He and his political opponent Peter Neronha appeared at the high school to field questions from the youth. Gordon’s only condition for appearing was that the word “marijuana” would not be used because he believes it is rooted in racism. When Neronha used the word twice when talking about Gordon’s recent arrest for possession of 48 pounds of the sticky-icky, the hippy-ish bureaucrat lost his s#!t completely… Gordon’s blunted business partner Anne Armstong is running for governor and also believes that “marijuana” is a vile word that is highly offensive. According to The Hollywood Reporter , the billboard on Pico Boulevard was taken over by Sabo. He replaced a photo of Michael Myers for the new “ Halloween ” movie with a picture of Maxine Waters . Email Submit She’s shown holding a knife in her right hand and the phrase “#Uncivil Democrats” has been added to the billboard. The 1978 film is returning to theaters and Blumhouse as well as Universal are advertising the movie all over. The Hollywood Reporter states that Sabo decided to change the advertisement after Waters in June told a crowd to make things uncomfortable for Donald Trump as well as his Cabinet members.
