Tony Scott’s Death Leaves Celebrity Friends Reeling
Tragic news: British filmmaker Tony Scott , who directed films including Top Gun , Crimson Tide , Man On Fire , The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 and 2010’s Unstoppable , died today after jumping from the Vincent Thomas Bridge between San Pedro and Terminal Island, multiple sources confirm. “Scott, 68, climbed a fence on the south side of the bridge’s apex and leapt off ‘without hesitation’ around 12:30 p.m., according to the Coroner’s Department and port police… A suicide note was found inside Scott’s black Toyota Prius, which was parked on one of the eastbound lanes of the bridge,” reported The Daily Breeze . Earlier in the day reports of a man jumping from the Vincent Thomas Bridge hit the web, although Scott’s identity was not confirmed until later Sunday evening. Scott, who had recently produced brother Ridley Scott ‘s Prometheus , had a number of upcoming films in production including Chan-wook Park’s Stoker , Scott Cooper’s Out of the Furnace , and Ridley’s Prometheus 2 . The Scott brothers also produced the TV series Coma , which is set to debut September 4. Here’s the details: A source for BOSSIP.com confirms exclusively that Scott Disick was spotted partying at LIV in Miami this Sunday July 22. Christina Milian was at the party and our source says Disick was on the hunt all night long. “Scott was hitting on Christina all night,” the source tells BOSSIP exclusively. “She kept ignoring him but he was acting like he just didn’t get it. He just kept following her and pretty much begging her to party with him.” The source says that Christina even tried getting up and walking away but it didn’t work. “Lil Wayne was also at the party and the promoter asked Christina to come take a group photo,” the source tells BOSSIP exclusively. “As soon as she moved, Scott was right behind her following her.” Another troublesome sign from the night? Scott was hitting the bottle hard. “Not only was Scott being really thirsty toward Christina — he was clearly drunk,” the source confirmed to BOSSIP. “Completely wasted.” Wow! Sunday on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloe Kardashian Odom stood her ground and defended her marriage from her vocal, critical siblings. Last night, on a special episode of the long-running E! reality hit, her older sister Kim Kardashian’s romantic life took center stage, for better or worse. After all, as we know, she’s dating Kanye West . “Kim and Kanye have been friends for years,” Kourtney Kardashian says. “They’ve been hanging out lately and I have no idea if it’s serious or not.” Is it?!?!?! Let’s find out in THG’s +/- recap! “So, Kanye and I, you know we have a lot of things in common,” Kim says. We have no idea what those things are, other than money.
