Patrick House Wins The Biggest Loser

For Patrick House, it’s never felt so good to be such a big loser. This 28-year old Vicksburg, Mississippi resident came out on top of this NBC reality competition on last night’s finale, defeating Frado Dinten in the final weigh-in by dropping an incredible 181 pounds. As confetti dropped all around him, House was embraced by family members and viewers were left to marvel over the fact that he lost 45.25 percent of his body weight at the start of the season. An unemployed former salesman, The Biggest Loser winner said that winning the series “gives me freedom.” And it also gives him money. House earned $250,000 for the accomplishment.

Every zombie death from The Walking Dead condensed into 69 seconds

Do you love The Walking Dead but hate that pesky character development? Eric Linn has smushed every zombie kill from Season One into approximately one minute. Rick and his preternatural tendency to head shot are the big winners. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afcWyJhsBXo&feature=player_embedded# ! added by: pjacobs51

Who Scored Big in Week Nine of SNL’s Not-Ready-for-Prime-Time-Player Relevancy Poll?

A strange thing has happened over at 30 Rockefeller Plaza during this season of Saturday Night Live : Bill Hader has usurped Kristen Wiig as SNL ‘s go-to cast member. Oh, sure, Wiig has had her fair share of sketches this season, but it’s becoming increasingly evident that the Man Who Plays Stefon has put the show on his back. Hader wasn’t number one on the Revelancy Poll this weekend, however, but it’s a rare week when he does not appear in the top-five. For reference, this is not one of those weeks.

IKEA Thanks USA Staff With 12,400 Free Bicycles

Photo: IKEA via Business Wire IKEA is giving its 12,400 staff, in the USA, an early Holiday present. “We hope this bike will be taken in the spirit of the season while supporting a healthy lifestyle and everyday sustainable transport,” said Mike Ward, IKEA US President. Unlike the 9,000 British employees who, back in 2006, were the beneficiaries of a free folding bike , it looks like American staff have scored a chunkier mountain bike style bicycle. … Read the full story on TreeHugger

Movieline Guesses the Future for Every Member of The A-List: New York

I asked the same question again and again during The A-List: New York ‘s reunion last night: Why are we reuniting? After a season of dropped storylines and manufactured tiffs, we were left with pretty much nothing to talk about. Austin’s engaged to somebody off-camera, Reichen and Rodiney are together- ish , and Derek is a squirrel. What else is there to discuss? Host (and weave sorceress) Wendy Williams tried hard to dredge up some vitriol, but even she couldn’t make this non-drama dramatic. Without further ado, let’s settle this season by predicting each cast member’s future. It can’t be that hard.

Sarah Palin’s Alaska Recap: Mortal Karibou: Annihilation

Unfortunately, the highpoint of Sarah Palin’s Alaska this week was its promise of a Gosselin-Palin crossover campout next week. Damn it. We don’t live in next week yet! The quail haircuts and Piper vs. Madelyn Pay-Per-View Bare-knuckle Beatdown will have to wait until then. The good news is this: Sarah Palin shot a caribou square in the boob last night, and her father whinnied with pride. It’s enough to make a grown man (caribou) cry (fly backwards in a bloody heap). To the recap!

Terriers Canceled: Was Its Excellence Too Subtle For Today’s TV Viewer?

FX will not be renewing the critically acclaimed (yet woefully undersampled) Terriers for a second season, which means we may never find out which way private-eye pals Hank and Britt turned as the season finale cut to black.

‘You’re Ruining Fuddruckers for Everyone!’: Community Recapped

For the last few weeks , I’ve been one of those reviewers bemoaning the fact that Community doesn’t have any stakes, relatable heroes or weight behind its story arcs. Much of season two has been very funny — not as funny as season one, admittedly, but still very funny — but not much has occurred that is likely to be remembered. Watching season two of Community has been like eating Cap’n Crunch for breakfast: Delightful, a little bit naughty and wholly unsatisfying in the long run. Which is why “Mixology Certification” was actually a welcome departure from the track of the season. It wasn’t funny, but it was certainly meaty.
