Two of television’s most reliable skin peddlers- Magic City and Game of Thrones – had their season finales last night, and as expected they threw us a bone with some bare boobage from skin veterans Jessica Marais and Esme Bianco . Magic City ended its first season with another kinky scene between Jessica Marais and her mobster husband ( Danny Huston )- it started off with him smacking her around by after finding out about her affair, but thanks to some dirty talk from the clever Ms. Marais it ended with bumping uglies by the pool. Plus, Dominik Garcia-Lorido (or maybe her body double) got wet baring butt and left boob in the shower with her guy, a first for the second-generation (her dad is actor Andy Garcia ) thespian. And Game of Thrones ‘ second season didn’t quite live up to last season’s full-frontal flesh fest, but Esme Bianco bid us farewell for another year by opening her robe to expose her pretty pillows. So until next year, if you’re ever in dire need of some Westerosi flesh, hand this gold coin to anyone from Mr. Skin and say these words: Valar Morpubis. ‘You can make your own decision as to what happens to me,’ Alfie Allen tells MTV News of Sunday’s episode. By Kara Warner Alfie Allen Photo: MTV News After last week’s unbelievably action-packed episode of “Game of Thrones,” you’re probably wondering what the show-runners have up their sleeves for the season finale this Sunday. Will there be shocking deaths, destruction, danger? In knowing how last season ended , we’re betting on all of the above. We do have a few specific hints about what kind of death, destruction and danger to expect, however, thanks to a recent chat with Alfie Allen, a.k.a. Theon Greyjoy. “Theon is not going to get the backup he needs, and people he thought he could rely on are really waiting for him to mess up and take advantage of that situation and sell him off to certain people,” Allen explained. “But he doesn’t know this.” As for the rest of the problem-plagued characters in Westeros, Allen teased that the Queen of Dragons might be dealing with a lot of drama, as well as a possible blast from her past. “I know with Daenerys, she goes to the House of the Undying and maybe you’ll see a character pop up who was in series one and [was not] in series two — we’ll just see. I know [show-runners] David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss] have been secretive about showing episode 10. David emailed me the other night and said, ‘Alfie, you’re going to be really, really happy with it.’ I’ve seen [some of the episode during post-production], and I’m very self-critical, so for me to say I’m happy about it, that’ s something big.” Allen said fans should expect the best from everyone on the show — just not as many actual battles. “It’s not as action-packed or bloodshed-y but has a lot of content,” Allen said. “It’s not going to be anticlimactic, that’s for sure, because a lot of the stuff with Dany is amazing and my stuff is all right,” he said with a smile, before teasing that things will likely end in a cliffhanger. “You can make your own decision as to what happens to me,” Allen teased. “We’ll see what happens, because I don’t even really know what’s happened to me, so we’ll just see.” Related Photos ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season Two
Nabbing top-10 spot on Billboard chart, winner’s first single lands second-largest digital-sales week ever for an ‘Idol’ contestant. The singer’s debut single, “Home,” is making a splash on the Billboard charts, ringing up a series of history-making debuts for the FOX singing competition. With 278,000 digital downloads, “Home” is the highest-debuting song on this week’s Digital Songs chart, bowing at an impressive #2 behind Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.” That number is also large enough to give Phillips the second-best digital-sales week ever for an “Idol” contestant. Only the original “American Idol,” Kelly Clarkson, can boast a bigger digital sales week: Her smash “My Life Would Suck Without You” debuted with 280,000 downloads in January 2009. Propelled by such strong sales, Phillips enters the Billboard Hot 100 at #10, making him the first “Idol” in four years to see his victory single reach the top 10. The last was David Cook, whose 2008 “Idol” single “The Time of My Life” entered the chart at #3. The rock-solid debut of “Home” also gives Phillips the biggest sales week of any coronation song since 2003, the year SoundScan began tracking digital-download sales. Billboard notes that two other “Idols” — season two victor Ruben Studdard and runner-up Clay Aiken — have actually enjoyed larger opening frames than Phillips, though their numbers came outside the digital format. Aiken’s 2003 season-finale single “This is the Night” moved 393,000 units as a CD single in its debut frame, while Studdard’s “Flying Without Wings” shifted 286,000 discs. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Kelly Marino The cast of Workaholics Photo: MTV News Comedy Central’s truly excellent “Workaholics” makes its fully torqued return Tuesday night (May 29), kicking off its third season with an episode that sees Blake, Adam and ‘Ders embark on a “business trip” of a different sort — namely, the kind that involves acid. As the guys explained to MTV News, that’s just the tip of the iceberg for the new season, which sees them taking on tough topics, whether their fans like it or not. “We’re really tackling some hard-hitting issues with the third season,” Adam DeVine explained. “Obesity, ways to find drugs … hygiene is a real issue too.” “The fans can expect whatever they want this season, they’re not going to get it,” Anders Holm deadpanned. “We’re not going to give it to them.” As is the case for a show coming off a breakthrough second season — which saw them steal a dragon statue, terrorize a gated community and make tremendous advances in chewing tobacco on television (and was capped by DeVine’s Adam Demamp being named one of MTV’s Top 50 TV Characters of 2011 ) — the “Workaholics” plan to swing for the fences with their new season by totally changing everything you’ve come to love about the show. “We’re jumping the shark; after the fifth episode, we’re going to hire movie stars to play us,” DeVine said. “I have Matt Damon, he’s gaining 60 pounds. Wilfred Brimley is playing Kyle [Newachek’s water-trashy Kyle Hevacheck]. And we just got a really cute-looking cat to play Blake. And ‘Ders is no longer on the show at all.” That newfound clout is also evident in a pair of guest stars who will show up later this summer: none other than the Black Keys, who play “ponytailed dirtbags” and who have struck up a rather unlikely — and slightly soul-crushing — friendship with the “Workaholics” crew since filming their cameo. “We’ve just sort of stayed in touch, texting and stuff,” DeVine said. “It’s cool to see their lives. I’ll text them and be like, ‘Hey, what’s up, man?’ and they’re like, ‘Oh, just in Europe. Fifty-thousand people tonight. Pretty crazy.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, um, we shot a scene in Van Nuys today with 40 dudes my dad’s age working lights, and I had a fake erection.’ ”
