Marvin Isley of Isley Bros. dies at 56 By the CNN Wire Staff June 7, 2010 10:02 p.m. EDT (CNN) — Marvin Isley, youngest member of the soulful Isley Brothers R&B group, has died from complications with diabetes, hospital officials said Monday. He was 56. Isley passed away Sunday morning at the Seasons Hospice within Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, according to representatives at both facilities. The original group formed in 1954 with the three eldest brothers Isley — O'Kelly Jr., Rudolph and Ronald — which recorded several singles, including “Shout,” “This Old Heart of Mine” and the Grammy-winning “It's Your Thing.” Marvin Isley joined in 1973, when the group expanded to six performers. The full group enjoyed massive radio airplay with lists of hits, including “That Lady,” “The Heat is On,” “Go For Your Guns” and “Fight the Power.” The Isley Brothers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992. It’s A Wrap For Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt

Heidi Montag has finally came to her senses and has decided to leave Spencer Pratt. Sources say she has had enough of Spencer leaking lies to the press and the mounting tension with her family was the final straw. Just weeks ago, Spencer called the police on Heidi’s mom to ban her from coming over. He also was the main reason she had so much cometic surgery and she is currently looking for a place of her own out in Malibu, Cali. Hopefully, she won’t have a change of heart.

Michael Steele Spent RNC Money on Bottle Service at a Bondage Club [What Up]

Michael Steele is just wasting RNC money on limos and private planes and, yes, private bondage-themed nightclubs with topless ladies. Tucker Carlson’s The Daily Carlsoning has a wonderful story about how Michael Steele considered buying a private plane, because he spends so much time flying to nightclubs and Hawaii, but he decided not to. Instead he found many other creative ways to waste money. Once on the ground, FEC filings suggest, Steele travels in style. A February RNC trip to California, for example, included a $9,099 stop at the Beverly Hills Hotel, $6,596 dropped at the nearby Four Seasons, and $1,620.71 spent [update: the amount is actually $1,946.25] at Voyeur West Hollywood , a bondage-themed nightclub featuring topless women dancers imitating lesbian sex. Now, Voyeur is not really a “strip club” so much as a terrible-sounding nightclub with bottle service, long lines, Lindsay Lohan, and, yes, half-naked ladies simulating oral sex on each other. Which, to be honest, sounds way stupider than a proper, respectable strip club. Shame on you, Michael Steele, for encouraging this kind of thing. The GOP really has to get around to firing the embarrassing and inept Michael Steele eventually. Steele spent $1.4 million on the GOP’s terrible new website, he charges $15,000 for speaking appearances , and his RNC continues to spend more than it takes in as we begin the campaign season in earnest. But it would still present a bit of an image problem to fire the one prominent black Republican in America.

Kate Gosselin ‘Dancing With The Stars?’

Is Kate Gosselin polishing moves for Dancing with the Stars ? Reports are circulating that the newly single TV mom could be headed to the hit reality show. The former star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 may be included in the line-up of contestants for next season’s Dancing with the Stars according to a report by UPI. According to one report, Gosselin has sequestered herself to polish up her moves. Lisa Stanley , a US radio personality, said the reality TV star was shimmying away at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel – sans kids. TLC , the network that produced Jon & Kate , has not revealed its plans for Gosselin, who recently divorced Jon , and lives with her eight children in Pennsylvania. Stanley’s radio station KEARTH 101 , meanwhile, put out a press release to say Gosselin was “under a shroud of security at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel, rehearsing her dance steps with no children to be seen.” What do you think, will Kate join the show?

LeAnne Novacek, wife of former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jay Novacek, has died, a spokesperson with the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office said. Dallas-Fort Worth’s’ WFAA cites a self-inflicted gunshot as the cause of death. The 45-year-old LeAnne was discovered dead at 9:05 a.m
