Beginning April 5, AMC will air the final episodes of Mad Men , bringing to an end one of the most acclaimed and buzzed about TV dramas in recent memory. There’s an irony to the fact that a show that takes place in the 1960s has managed to so thoroughly capture the imaginations of 21st viewers, but the most fans will tell you that the characters’ recklessly old school ways are a major part of Mad Men’s appeal. Where else, on the modern television landscape, will you find successful professionals drinking in the middle of a weekday? Or anyone other than a European villain sucking down cigarettes without a passing thought for emphysema? Yes, the men and women of Sterling Cooper and Partners have never set foot on a treadmill and uttering the phrase “gluten-free” in their presence might get you branded a communist. But that’s not to say they haven’t changed with the times. Don and his cronies might still prefer liquor to LSD, but that hasn’t stopped them from making allowances for the growing influence of the ’60s counterculture as the series progressed. Hey, altered consciousness is altered consciousness, right? So exactly how much bad behavior did Draper and company get up to over the past 6-and-a-half seasons? Well, the folks over at AMC tallied things up , and some of the numbers might surprise you: 14 punches and 4 slaps were doled out. (Who knew the show was so violent?) Don ran through 8 different secretaries. (RIP, Ida Blankenship) We also saw Dick Whitman bed 18 different mistresses, though AMC is quick to point out that there’s no telling how many ladies succumbed to the Draper charm off-camera. A surprising joints were smoked throughout the series, and finally, what you really want to know: The cast smoked a combined 942 cigarettes and polished off 369 drinks. There, now don’t you feel better about your own vices? We can’t wait to see our favorite self-destructive ad men (and women) add to those numbers in the remaining final episodes. Everyone is entitled to a change of heart, right? In honor of “#ManCrushEveryday,” which is apparently a thing, Amber Rose posted took a few moments on Instagram today to send a message to estranged husband Wiz Khalifa. It included a photo of the former couple French kissing, along with a very sweet plea. “We went wrong somewhere and even if we never ever get back together (Even tho I pray, dream and hope we do) he will forever be the love of my life,” Rose wrote. We didn’t exactly see this dedication coming, considering Rose filed for divorce from Khalifa in September. She then went on to accuse Khalifa of cheating on her (with twins, allegedly), while Wiz referred to Amber as a stripper and a ho in recent song. It was raining men on Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 18 , what with Derek back in Seattle and Kevin Alejandro debuting as police captain Dan Pruitt and Taylor John Smith getting his flirt on with Stephanie. We started out on a positive note, with Meredith telling Maggie she has it all and would even “beat herself up” over being one of those people… if she wasn’t having so much sex with her husband. That husband, meanwhile, was learning that he needed Amelia’s approval to be reinstated. She had her doubts that he could be second in command, but he proved himself by hour’s end, as Amelia even opened up to her brother about Owen Elsewhere, Richard welcomed some elementary school kids on a field trip to the hospital, only for them to be present when two shot cops (who were brothers!) were brought it. Both died within a half hour and Callie was left to examine their captain, who had been shot in the leg. Due to surgery, he’d have to be off his legs for up to eight weeks, but Dan said he didn’t mind. He just fired his weapon for the first time in 14 years and a desk job sounded pretty great right about now. Next, the teenager who drove the robbery getaway car was wheeled in. Go watch Grey’s Anatomy online and you’ll see he needed a new liver, STAT. After Meredith refused to do so, Bailey asked the mother of one of the dead cops to donate the organ from one of her kids. She said no at first, but then changed her mind after Dan explained that the police had all been trying to help the troubled kid. Stephanie, meanwhile, hit it off with the cute chaperone of the school trip. Too bad he was only 17 years old! Woman Suing City Of Seattle For $1 Million In Police Brutality Case Consequences and repercussions… Via RawStory Seattle woman who suffered a broken eye socket after a police officer punched her in the face while handcuffed in the back of a patrol car filed a $1m claim against the city, alleging assault and arrest without probable cause. The incident was captured by a patrol-car dashboard camera. Seattle police officer Adley Shepherd responded to the scene of a domestic dispute in June 2014, where he arrested Miyekko Durden-Bosley, then 23. The woman allegedly became verbally abusive with the officer, and Shepherd can be heard accusing her of “escalating” the situation on camera. Shepherd handcuffed Durden-Bosley, and she appears to be tossed into the back of a patrol car. Almost immediately after Durden-Bosley lands in the back seat Shepherd yells “She kicked me!” and lunges into the back seat of the car, on top of the woman, the video shows. Shepherd punched Durden-Bosley so severely that she suffered a concussion and a broken orbital socket. Durden-Bosley told Seattle’s KING5 that she had headaches and blurry vision from the punch seven months later. She told KING5 that she doesn’t remember whether she kicked the officer. The Washington state patrol, the Seattle-based federal US attorney and Seattle police launched investigations as a result of the incident, several media outlets reported. And amid high-profile cases of police brutality, such as the killing of unarmed teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, Durden-Bosley’s case has garnered significant public attention. KING5 reported that the Washington state patrol found Shepherd’s actions “inconsistent with the training and policy”, and that “he unnecessarily placed himself in greater danger and caused unnecessary and foreseeable injury to the handcuffed suspect.” Nevertheless, in December, the King County prosecuting attorney Dan Satterberg declined to press charges against Shepherd (who remains on administrative leave), the Seattle Times reported . Larry Foote Says Marshawn Lynch Is A Bad Influence Marshawn Lynch has been both praised and put down for his signature interview-dodging tactics . But one fellow NFL baller has a different take on the effect Beast Mode’s refusal to play by the rules has on young Black people who look up to him. Via ESPN Arizona Cardinals linebacker Larry Foote strongly criticized Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch on Monday, saying Lynch is sending the wrong message to children. “He always mentions his foundation and what he likes to do for the city of Oakland,” Foote said in an interview with 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh. “I’m from the same type of urban environment that he’s from. “The biggest message he’s giving these kids, he might not want to admit it, is ‘The hell with authority. I don’t care, fine me. I’m gonna grab my crotch. I’m gonna do it my way.’” Foote’s point is kids will believe they can act the same as Lynch does. “In the real world, it doesn’t work that way,” Foote said. “It just doesn’t. How can you keep a job? I mean, you got these inner-city kids. They don’t listen to teachers. They don’t listen to police officers, principals. And these guys can’t even keep a job because they say ‘F’ authority.” Hmmm, do you think he’s right BOSSIP fam? Is Lynch just asserting is right to be left the hell alone when he wants…or is he being a “bad influence” on urban kids?

Seahawks Fan Gets “Back To Back Champions” Tattoo Prior To Super Bowl That’s gotta hurt… Via Complex One Seattle Seahawks fan took to Twitter the night before the Super Bowl with his confidence sky high. Not only did he predict a 23-0 victory for his team, but he also showed off his new “Back to Back Champions” tattoo with a Seahawks logo underneath. The superfan came oh so close, but some disastrous play calling by the Seahawks resulted in a New England Patriots win. The fan was a good sport, tweeting after the loss, “Good game. We came up 2yrds short. Keeping tattoo.” This is despite his Vine post that shows a buddy trying to sandpaper the false tattoo off.
