According to a source close to Gomez, Justin reached out to her after he came under fire for his two shocking n-word videos , seeking emotional support. The insider claims Bieber told his ex that he “needed her by his side” and his heartfelt words sent her flying to Canada on a private jet last weekend. “Justin reached out to Selena when he was getting tons of backlash for his controversial race joke. He told Selena that he really missed her,” the source says. The coup de grace came when he said that Selena Gomez “was the ONLY one who truly understood him and that he needed her by his side.” “He said that his father’s birthday celebration wouldn’t be the same without Selena because she’s part of the family,” the source also reveals. “He also told her she was his soulmate and that he was lost without her.” Swoon alert. Miley Cyrus performed in Milan last night – and, based on the video below, it seems the unpredictable pop star is looking to ignite yet another celebrity feud. Miley Cyrus Throws Selena Gomez Doll Miley bashed Taylor Swift (allegedly) last month, and now it looks as though she’s coming after another reigning pop princess. Watch the clip closely and you can see Miley throttling a small cardboard cut-out that was confirmed by concert-goers to be made in the likeness of Selena Gomez. It’s telling that Miley is performing a song titled “FU” in the video and at one point appears to angrily hurl the Selena doll (which a photo of Gomez’ face taped to it) into the crowd. Surprising stuff, given that for all of the rumored beefs they’ve been involved with individually, there’s never been talk of any bad blood between Miley and Selena. So what could be the cause for Miley’s display of disrespect? Well, Miley and Justin Bieber blew up around the same time and could pass for identical twins, so maybe this is Miley’s way of saying she’s taking Justin’s side in his breakup with Selena. The only thing we know for sure is that if Miley didn’t intend to piss off Selena and her fans, she probably should’ve put more thought into the props she uses on stage. If you didn’t catch last night’s Game of Thrones , well, sorry for the spoiler, but Oberyn Martell checked out in pretty much the most gruesome fashion imaginable. As we told you in our Oberyn vs. Gregor Clegane pre-fight coverage, The Red Viper didn’t stand much of a chance against a dude who very much earns the nickname,The Mountain, so it wasn’t so much that the revenge-fueled Dornishman got offed that’s surprising, but more the way in which it happened (out of respect for the squeamish, we won’t rehash the details). But only in the uber-gory world of Westeros could a death like Oberyn’s actually have competition in terms of most shocking send-off. 9 Shocking Game of Thrones Deaths 1. Viserys Gets Crowned Viserys was up there with King Joffrey in terms of douchebags we loved to hate. Even so, his death by molten gold is tough to watch. On GoT, characters so minor they don’t even have names get shuffled off the mortal coil in brutal ways that other shows would reserve for their most heinous villains. Worse, though, is when GRRM and company kill off a main, beloved character that fans rightfully expect to receive the happiest of endings . While Oberyn’s death may take the cake in terms of sheer goriness, it doesn’t quite compare to the Red Wedding or the execution of Ned Stark in terms of moments that dropped jaws and likely flooded producers’ inboxes with hate mail. But the fact that cruel fates are suffered by beloved fan-favorites is part of why GoT packs such an emotional impact. No other series has so vividly reminded us of the randomness of life and death, or the fact that sometimes the very worst things imaginable happen to good people. When a bad guy dies on a network cop show, it makes you feel that all is right with the world. When the families that you’re rooting for on GoT start dropping like flies, it drives home the point that despite your best preparations, one day winter will come. Okay, so it’s not AS risque as that description makes it sound.
