Fun fact about Mission: Impossible IV , the fourth film in the billion dollar Paramount franchise that Tom Cruise and the newly cast Jeremy Renner will lead into theaters in December of 2011: It won’t be called Mission: Impossible IV . As Variety points out, the Brad Bird-directed film will be a reboot, which means a new title is needed — one that might not even mention Mission: Impossible (like The Dark Knight didn’t mention Batman). Ahead, Movieline offers Paramount 20 suggestions. You’re welcome.

Scream 4 Adds Two Teen Queens

A few weeks ago while perusing the Scream 4 cast list, I mused that for a slasher movie, it was awfully devoid of a certain genre staple: nubile, stabbable babes. Maybe the production was just biding its time, as shortly after adding blonde bombshells Kristen Bell and Anna Paquin to the cast , it’s come out that 90210’s Shenae Grimes and Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale are joining the sequel. Practice your post-modern shrieks of terror, ladies. [ Zap2It ]

‘Glee’ Star Lea Michele Wants Justin Timberlake Super Bowl Episode

‘If not Justin, I would hope it would be the sequel to the Madonna episode,’ Michele says of possible post-Super Bowl show. By Mawuse Ziegbe Lea Michele Photo: Jon Kopaloff/ Getty Images Back in January, Lea Michele told us she was hoping for a dance-off between Matthew Morrison’s Will Schuester and Justin Timberlake on “Glee.” Well, the show might be getting a little closer to securing JT and/or his music. “I think they are saving Justin Timberlake for the Super Bowl episode,” Michele told The Hollywood Reporter. “They have to be, because he is so perfect for our show. He has to be on it! When I met Jessica Biel, like a loser, I asked her to tell Justin to come on our show. [ Laughs. ] She was a little taken aback and said, ‘Um, OK. I’ll tell him.’ ” Michele said that if “Glee” producers don’t make a JT episode happen, she’s fine with revisiting the hitmaking catalog of his “4 Minutes” collaborator. “If not Justin, I would hope it would be the sequel to the Madonna episode,” she said. “She has so many more amazing songs we didn’t even touch.” When the New Directions crew might tackle Timberlake’s hits is still up in the air, but the cast is buzzing about delving into the hits of his ex, Britney Spears . Michele is slated to revamp Spears’ debut smash ” … Baby One More Time,” and Heather Morris (whose character happens to be named Brittany) has said she wants to switch up “Toxic.” “Circus” and “Stronger” are other jams from the pop princess that might turn up in the episode, but castmember Naya Rivera said homing in on a few Spears songs is a major challenge. “There are so many great Britney songs to choose from; how do you pick just one?” Rivera wondered. Which Tough Guys Should Appear in the Sequel to The Expendables?

It’s not out until Friday, but with the way The Expendables has been tracking at the box office, the idea of a sequel doesn’t seem all that ridiculous. “We all want to do it, we are already working on it and I’m ready to go. I have done over 350 movies in my life and this is definitely the biggest,” said producer Ari Lerner without a shred of hyperbole. Assuming The Expendables lives up to its name though and treats its cast like a pack of Kleenex, which tough guys should appear in the sequel? Movieline plays casting director ahead.

‘Toy Story 3’ On Track To Become Pixar’s Biggest Film Ever

‘Finding Nemo’ is company’s current record holder. By Eric Ditzian Buzz Lightyear and Woody in “Toy Story 3” Photo: Disney/Pixar “Toy Story 3” is already a record-breaker for Pixar. The third installment of the adventures of Woody and his playtime buddies opened with the animation house’s biggest opening weekend, its $110.3 million besting “The Incredibles” by almost $40 million. Inflation and 3-D ticket prices notwithstanding, “Toy Story 3” has blown past its original incarnation in just two full weekends and figures to ascend to the upper tier of Pixar releases by next weekend So where will “Toy Story 3” end up in the Pixar ranks when its theatrical run comes to a close? The company’s current record holder is “Finding Nemo,” which netted $339.7 million in 2003 without the benefit of premium ticket prices. As things at the cinema stand now, though, those CGI fishies are about to lose their top Pixar spot to some 3-D toys. ” ‘Toy Story 3’ will have no problems at all surpassing ‘Finding Nemo’ to become Pixar’s top-grossing film ever,” said Gitesh Pandya, editor of BoxOfficeGuru.com. “[It] might even join the list of top 10 global blockbusters of all time.” For that to happen, “Toy Story 3” would need to cross the $400 million threshold, and to reach such a lofty goal, the movie will have to continue to attract repeat viewers. This week, two films that could eat into the “Toy Story” audience — “Eclipse” and “The Last Airbender” — arrive on the scene. “Eclipse” drops on Wednesday and should easily dominate the box office. The next day, “The Last Airbender,” which is based on the popular Nickelodeon cartoon series, opens across North America. With kids and their parents headed off to take in these fresh films, will repeat viewership for “Toy Story” plunge? “The only thing standing in the way of ‘Toy Story’ becoming the biggest film of the summer is ‘Eclipse,’ ” said Jeff Bock, box-office analyst for Exhibitor Relations. “These bloodsuckers have serious box-office bite. To say the sequel expanded the brand after the original is an understatement. The real question is: has this series hit a tipping point? Usually, by the third film in a franchise, grosses diminish exponentially. Not so with fanatical franchises like ‘Harry Potter,’ ‘Star Wars,’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’ and ‘Twilight.’ They don’t follow traditional box-office patterns. But that said, I do believe the fanbase has hit its glass ceiling, and that the threequel will perform very similarly to the sequel.” That would put “Eclipse” at slightly under the $300 million mark, whereas “Toy Story” could top that by as much as $100 million. Now lest you think “Toy Story 3” is simply benefiting from pricey 3-D tickets, note the case of 2009’s “Up.” That critically lauded Oscar nominee, presented in three dimensions (albeit before the current “Avatar”-induced 3-D craze), still could not unseat “Nemo.” For “Toy Story 3″ to have such a good chance of becoming Pixar’s #1 speaks not only to ticket prices but to the appeal of the film itself, which many have suggested is the best in the three-picture series. ” ‘Toy Story 3’ has captured the magic of Pixar in a blockbuster sequel — a potent combination,” Bock said. “And let’s not forget the ancillary merchandizing markets that have toy aisles abuzz and practically barren. No one can touch that type of overall domination.” Yet despite its popularity, the movie might not sell as many tickets as “Nemo.” Still, we count dollars, not tickets, and when it comes to the former, “Toy Story” is going to pull in record-breaking numbers. “With James Cameron not having a film this year, Woody and pals may even be the box-office champs of 2010,” said Pandya. ‘Hangover’ Director Promises To Bring Back Mike Tyson For Round Two

‘I’ve got to find something for him, because he’s been texting me,’ Todd Phillips says of Iron Mike. By Todd Gilchrist, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images Last summer’s biggest comedy (and six-time MTV Movie Awards nominee ) “The Hangover” knocked out audiences like an uppercut from a heavyweight champion. And it stands to reason that director Todd Phillips would bring back the first film’s actual champ, Mike Tyson, for more sparring with co-stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha in the sequel. Saturday night at Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards, Phillips told MTV News that he’s looking for a part that Tyson can play in “The Hangover 2.” “I’ve got to find something for him, because he’s been texting me,” Phillips said. “I’ve got to figure it out. We’re going to find something for Mike.” The director also explained that the focus of the sequel won’t shift a lot from the first film, although some new characters will be introduced. “It’s expanding a bit, obviously,” he said. “There’s new people to be introduced. But the core cast is still who it’s about.” Since the completion of “The Hangover,” Phillips reunited with Galifianakis for a comedy called “Due Date,” which also Robert Downey Jr. Phillips said that and Downey commiserated about the challenges of following up a successful film with a satisfying sequel. “I became really close with Robert Downey, and he, of course, did ‘Iron Man 2,’ and he’s doing ‘Sherlock 2,’ ” Phillips said. “And when we were doing ‘Due Date,’ he talked to me a lot about the pressure you feel when you’re shooting that sequel, especially [for] something as beloved as ‘The Hangover’ was and, of course, as ‘Iron Man’ was.” Although audiences will enter the sequel with a wealth of expectations, Phillips said there’s actually something exciting about that pressure. “I think there’s another part of it which is really exciting — [which is] when you’re doing a comedy, can we do it again?” he explained. ” ‘The Hangover’ really worked because there were so many surprises, and it’s like, can we capture that again? So I’m kind of excited about it.” Don’t miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Kristen Stewart Weighs In On ‘Wanted 2’ Rumors

‘I have nothing nailed down,’ ‘Eclipse’ actress says of playing the Angelina Jolie role in the sequel. By Jocelyn Vena Kristen Stewart Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage In late April, rumors began surfacing online that “Twilight Saga” star Kristen Stewart was in the running for the role originated by Angelina Jolie in “Wanted 2.” The story was that Stewart is director Timur Bekmambetov’s top choice to replace Jolie in the sequel, pitting her against the returning James McAvoy as reluctant assassin Wesley Gibson. If hired, Stewart would play “a young, ass-kicking assassin in the Fraternity.” While much has been hush-hush about the speculation since it was initially reported, the star is now speaking up about the casting talk, saying that nothing is set in stone yet. “Right now, I have two projects lined up,” Stewart told Moviehole.net . “I’m doing ‘On the Road’ this summer and then I’m doing ‘Breaking Dawn.’ So other than that I have nothing nailed down.” With it still unknown whether “Breaking Dawn” will be two movies or one, it seems that Stewart’s schedule is definitely filled up for the time being. Regarding her involvement in the upcoming film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s “On the Road,” she said last month, “I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever. Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit. I am super-excited about it, too. I am about to play Marylou in ‘On the Road.’ So that’s a big deal.” In the same interview, fellow “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner dished that he has yet to even think about filming “Stretch Armstrong.” “It’s not happening for a while though, about a year from now,” he said. “I’m doing a movie called ‘Abduction,’ which starts in about a month. Then ‘Breaking Dawn.’ And hopefully ‘Stretch’ after that.” Would you like to see Stewart in “Wanted 2”? Tell us in the comments!
