Kylie Jenner Blamed For Teenagers Getting Plastic Surgery In a world of high-definition everything, the pressure is on for everyone to always look their best. For a celebrity, with cameras, both their own and that of the paparazzi, constantly on them, plastic surgery is often the answer — sometimes before the person is even old enough to vote. Via Fox News : For regular, non-famous people who don’t live in the public eye, Instagram can be stressful enough already. Not only do your friends’ lives seem more fun, but their skin looks smoother, their waists slimmer. According to The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, nearly 18,000 teens ages 13-19 got a form of Botox in 2013. There seems to be ever more pressure for young people to look perfect. Are our public standards of beauty so new? Getting nipped and tucked certainly isn’t. Younger women altering themselves isn’t exactly novel, either. What’s new, though, is how common it is. The 2014 Annual American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Survey blamed “the rise of the selfie,” and there may be something to that. We’re taking more pictures of ourselves and each other than ever before and our exhibitionist lives are leading to a pressure for beauty that is starting at an ever younger age. We use Photoshop, Instagram filters and other enhancements to project our best looks to the world. Plastic surgery doesn’t seem so crazy as the next step anymore. We’re perfecting our best angle in every picture we snap and changing ourselves to improve on it. One of the most visible examples of this is Kylie Jenner who, at the age of 16, went from an awkward but still very pretty teenager to an unrecognizable bombshell. Though she only admits to having her lips plumped, speculation is that her butt, breasts and nose have all been done as well. Kylie addressed her changed lips during an episode of her family’s hit show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” In it, she said she had always felt insecure about her looks and so she had fillers put in to boost her lips. Plastic surgery or nah?? But… Would you allow your teen to get plastic surgery???

Nelson Mandela’s Grandson Charged With The Rape Of A Teenage Girl In A Bathroom WTF?! Via NYDailyNews Nelson Mandela’s grandson has been charged with raping a 15-year-old girl inside a South African bar bathroom. Mbuso Mandela, 24, appeared in a Johannesburg court Monday. He will stay in police custody until at least Friday, when he is given a formal bail hearing, South Africa’s Star newspaper reported. Police said Mandela sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl Friday while dining at a popular Johannesburg restaurant. The teenage girl was having dinner with some friends when she excused herself to go to the bathroom, her family’s spokesman told the Daily Sun. Mandela allegedly attacked her inside. “He grabbed her and raped her inside one of the toilets,” the spokesman said. We can only hope this isn’t true, but if it is…SMH.

Ex-Subway Spokesman Jared Fogle Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Charges Jared Fogle, the former Subway spokesman , is expected to plead guilty to possession of child pornography charges, according to WXIN. Via Q13 Fox : Sources say Fogle will accept a plea deal. The U.S. Attorney’s Office will hold a press conference on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the deal and charges against Fogle. The charges come after federal agents raided Fogle’s home in early July. FBI sources said investigators were serving warrants at his home in connection with a child pornography investigation. Several computers and DVDs were seized from Fogle’s home. Earlier this year, Taylor, the former director of the Jared Foundation started by Fogle, was arrested in a child pornography case. He was accused of possessing and producing child pornography. Investigators said a search of Taylor’s home turned up more than 500 videos with images of child pornography. In May, Taylor unsuccessfully tried to kill himself while in jail. Fogle gained national fame after attributing massive weight loss to eating Subway sandwiches. He was a freshman at Indiana University at the time. He later became a visible presence in Subway ad campaigns, pitching the restaurant’s sandwiches and touting their health benefits. Subway suspended their relationship with the spokesman shortly after the raid. Looks like Subway will be looking for a new spokesperson very soon!

Officer Brad Miller Fired For Christian Taylor Murder The officer who fatally shot unarmed Texas teen Christian Taylor has officially been fired. Arlington police chief Will Johnson told reporters today that rookie cop Brad Miller was off the job for killing Taylor when “no physical contact between them” was made. The New York Times reports: A rookie police officer who shot and killed a Texas college football player inside a car dealership in suburban Dallas was fired on Tuesday, the police said. Chief Will Johnson of the Arlington police said that the officer, Brad Miller, 49, had been fired for the “inappropriate judgment” in the fatal shooting of Christian Taylor, 19. Chief Johnson said Officer Miller had entered the building without his partner, leading to an “an environment of cascading consequences.” Police had said that Mr. Taylor was shot on Friday as he tried to flee from officers who had been dispatched to the Arlington dealership after reports of a suspected burglary. The Tarrant County medical examiner found that Mr. Taylor had gunshot wounds to his neck, chest and abdomen. At a news conference, Chief Johnson said Tuesday that Mr. Miller made bad decisions in communicating with other officers and initially approaching Mr. Taylor on his own without a plan for arrest. There were other officers on scene, the chief told reporters, including Mr. Miller’s training officer, who tried to use a Taser to subdue the suspect. “Based on a preponderance of evidence available to me and facts revealed by the investigative team, I have decided to terminate Officer Miller’s employment with the Arlington Police Department for exercising poor judgment,” Chief Johnson told a news conference. SMH…even Miller’s fellow officer thought it was best to JUST fire his taser. Why did he use deadly force?!?!
