Wiz Khalifa has been arrested for marijuana possession, again. It’s the second such arrest in the last 10 days for the rapper. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina confirms that Wiz got popped for possession of marijuana after his concert in Winston-Salem last night. Officers discovered 11.39 grams of pot after searching the rapper and his tour bus. It’s unclear what prompted the search initially, but so it goes for Wiz. Khalifa was cited, released and ordered to appear in court at a later date. He was just arrested for marijuana at the Holiday Inn in Nashville on April 21. [Photo: Pacific Coast News]
He faces 15 years to life in prison when he’s sentenced May 8. By Nadeska Alexis G. Dep Photo: Denise Truscello/ WireImage Former Bad Boy rapper G. Dep, born Trevell Coleman, was convicted of second-degree murder in New York on Tuesday (April 17) following a trial that began after Coleman admitted to killing a man in 1993 during a botched robbery attempt. In late 2010, Coleman came forward to confess that he’d shot a man , identified by police as John Henkel, nearly two decades earlier in Harlem. According to Coleman’s story, he attempted to rob a man on a Harlem corner, then shot him and rode off on a bicycle, not knowing whether the victim had survived. Opening statements in the trial were made last week, on April 10, and one day later, Coleman dropped a bombshell on prosecutors by changing up his story . He claimed that while he did shoot someone, it was not Henkel. Despite the change in story, the prosecution stood firm, contending that Henkel was the only victim who fit the details of Coleman’s confession. “Eighteen years ago, the defendant made a calculated decision to steal from, shoot and kill an innocent person on the street,” Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. said in a statement. Trevell Coleman is expected to face a minimum sentence of 15 years to life in prison on May 8. After the jury delivered a guilty verdict for the 37-year-old, defense lawyer Anthony Ricco praised his client’s efforts to be honest. “He has a conscience and a heart, and his conscience and his heart brought him to where he is today,” Ricco told reporters after the trial. “He’s probably making the most powerful statement a rapper of his era can make, which is to be accountable and to do the right thing.” Coleman saw a brief rise to fame beginning in 1998 with an appearance on “The Mall” from Gang Starr’s Moment of Truth album. Later that year he signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Records, and in 2001 he dropped his debut album, Child of the Ghetto, which spawned the hit single “Special Delivery.” Still, the album failed to be a commercial success, and although he followed up with the 2004 mixtape The Deputy: The Sheriff Is Back in Town Volume 1, a slew of arrests, ranging from drug charges to grand larceny, put an end to his career for good. Hip-Hop is still very much a boy’s club, but that doesn’t mean that women haven’t kicked down the doors and made a name for themselves. Over the years, a host of female MCs have come and gone by putting their body parts on display, spewing sluggish rhymes, and going at each other just to be hot—if only for a millisecond. SMH @ this buster … makes us wanna say Fawk the Police! Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee, under fire for his handling of the investigation into the killing of unarmed Miami Gardens teenager Trayvon Martin, temporarily removed himself from office Thursday, a day after city commissioners gave him a vote of no confidence. Lee, stressing his credentials as a former homicide investigator, said that he stands by the police department and the investigation. “I am aware my role as leader of this department has become a distraction from the investigation,” Lee said, adding that “temporarily removing” himself from the role would restore a “semblance of calm to the city which has been in turmoil for several weeks.” Two captains will head the department until an interim chief can be found, according to City Manager Norton Bonaparte Jr. The city manager did not specify whether Lee would continue to be paid his $102,000 salary, or when he would return to his job as police chief. Lee was on the job for just 10 months. He joined the department after a 27-year career at the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office with a mission to clean up a department marked by internal turmoil and race-related scandals. But the national pressure over a perceived bungling of the investigation was ultimately too much for city officials, who are bracing for a thousands-strong rally Thursday night, and another one at their meeting Monday. Suspended from Michael Krop Senior High School in Miami-Dade, Trayvon, 17, went to Sanford with his father to visit the father’s girlfriend. The family won’t say why the teen was suspended, but said the trip to Central Florida was in part designed so the father and son could spend time together getting Trayvon focused. Trayvon left the house on the evening of Feb. 26 to walk to a nearby store. On his way back, neighborhood watch volunteer Zimmerman thought he looked suspicious and called police. It’s unclear what happened next, but Trayvon was killed and the shooter never charged. He said the boy jumped him, and later claimed self defense in the killing. Lee was hammered for his handling of the controversial case, which experts say was marred with irregularities. He gave incorrect information to reporters, and the family felt he and the department were more interested in offering excuses for shooter George Zimmerman than making an arrest. The relationship between the boy’s family and police deteriorated from the start. Trayvon’s family believed the police department deliberately covered up Zimmerman’s past arrest record, portraying him as having a clean record because he had no convictions. The family had to file a lawsuit for the release of 911 tapes, but they felt the department was often willing to release information that was favorable to Zimmerman. As evidence that the incident was not a case of racial profiling, Lee told The Miami Herald that when the police dispatch operator asked Zimmerman the race of the suspicious person he saw, the Hispanic neighborhood watch captain did not know. Yet when the recording of that conversation was made public, Zimmerman clearly says, “he looks black.” Initial police reports never mentioned that Zimmerman had a bloody nose or a wet shirt that showed evidence of a struggle. Attorneys for the dead teen’s family believe the information was added in a second report to justify the lack of an arrest. Police said witness statements supported Zimmerman’s account. But several of the witnesses expressed surprise, telling The Miami Herald that they reported hearing someone crying for help just before a shot ended the cries. The 911 tapes of witness calls bolstered their claims. One of the witnesses who heard the crying said she called a detective repeatedly, but said he was not interested because her account differed from Zimmerman’s. For nearly a month, police never noticed a profanity Zimmerman mumbled under his breath when he called police, which some people believe was accompanied by a muffled racial slur. Even though investigators have the dead boy’s cellphone, it was Trayvon’s father who combed through the phone records to discover that his son was talking to a girlfriend in the moments that led to his death. As national outrage grew, protests were held Wednesday from Miami to New York. The Rev. Al Sharpton is expected Thursday in Sanford, for a vigil that promises to draw thousands of participants. More than 1,000 students at Carol City High School walked out Thursday in a Twitter-generated march that quickly spread to Miami Northwestern High. In an interview with The Miami Herald last week, Lee insisted that the investigation was thorough, fair and unbiased. “We are basing our investigation based on facts and circumstances not the color of the individual’s skin,” he said. “I can say that till I am blue in the face. As a white man in a uniform, I know that doesn’t mean anything to anybody, but that is the truth.” Dude is a LIAR. Plain and simple. He doesn’t deserve the job or the uniform. Zimmerman should be behind bars right now. Source More On Bossip! Let’s Be Honest: Rihanna Gets Kushed Up And Hollers At A Shawty On Twitter What The Fluctuation PT 1? This isht right here is just NAAAAAAAAAAASTY ! And SMH @ the police officer who arrested them calling them “a different breed.” Three people — a husband and wife, and her lover — have been arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit a sex act with an animal. According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Pinal County residents Shane Walker and Sarah Dae Walker and Gilbert resident Robert Aucker Monday night. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said the trio used the popular Craigslist classified ads website to find a dog to take part in the act. Sarah, 34, intended to have sex with a male golden shepherd mix while her 39-year-old husband and Aucker, 30, watched, Arpaio explained in a news release. This has not the first time Arpaio and his office have been confronted with an animal sex case in which the suspects used Craigslist to find participants. Deputies made arrests in two similar incidents almost exactly a year ago. Last summer, an unemployed handyman was sentenced to two years’ probation after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit a sex act with an animal. About a month later, a former school teacher pleaded not guilty to one misdemeanor count and was sentenced to one year of supervised probation. Arrested in late February 2011, the perpetrators in both cases used Craigslist to find dogs. In the wake of those arrests, Arpaio wrote to Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster and asked him to consider implementing better monitoring on the site to prevent these kinds of solicitation ads. MCSO said Buckmaster never responded. “I remain extremely disappointed in the leadership at Craigslist.com for refusing to do what they can to stop this,” Arpaio said in a news release Tuesday. “While they aren’t doing anything to stop it, I will continue to enforce all animal cruelty laws.” Shane Walker is a flight attendant while his wife is a self-employed photographer. Aucker is a car salesman. MCSO said the trio admitted their plans to detectives during interviews. According to Arpaio, the Walkers describe themselves as “swingers” and have what they call and “open marriage.” Aucker says he and Sarah have been involved in a relationship for about a month. Arpaio said Aucker told detectives Sarah had shared with him her desire to have sex with a dog. According to court documents, the Walkers planned for three weeks, emailing back and forth with the dog’s owner. Investigators said the Walkers and Aucker drove to the arranged location for the express purpose of engaging in sex with the dog. MCSO said the trio offered the dog’s owner, an undercover detective, the opportunity to take part. While the trio state their intent for Sarah to have intercourse with the dog, deputies arrested them before anything happened. “People who do this for enjoyment are a different breed, that’s for certain,” Arpaio said. The Walkers and Aucker made their initial court appearances Tuesday. They were released but are subject to electronic monitoring and are not allowed to leave the state. Both the couple and Aucker also were ordered to give up their dogs. Sex with animals, which is legal in some states, was made a class 6 felony in Arizona in 2006. That law was proposed and passed after Leroy Johnson, a deputy fire chief for Mesa, was arrested in March 2006. Accused of having sex with his neighbor’s lamb, Johnson was charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing and public sexual indecency — all misdemeanor counts. Then-Gov. Janet Napolitano signed the law making intercourse with an animal a felony less than three months later. Conspiracy to commit the act is a misdemeanor. Just disgusting. At what point do you not just look at each other (all THREE of you) and say — ‘This is already pretty freaky, forget the chains, we got some chains and whip cream.’ And these crazy fools already HAD dogs — but they didn’t want to have sex with their dogs. They gotta go fool with some strange dog! And what kind of dog does a golden retriever have to mate with to have ears like that anyway??? Source More On Bossip! Where’s The Meat? This story is pretty much as awful as it gets. Josh Powell, a suspect in his wife’s 2009 disappearance, set up an explosion of his home yesterday that resulted in his own death, along with the death of his two sons. As first reported by The Seattle Times , a case worker dropped Powell’s two kids of at his house in Graham, Washington yesterday and was then “forced out,” said a spokesman for Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, adding: “An explosion happened shortly thereafter.” Authorities later recovered three bodies from the rubble who they believe are Josh Powell and his sons Charlie, 7, and Braden, 5. The kids had been in the custody of their grandparents; and a family court judge had told Josh, earlier in the week, that he would have to undergo a psychological review before having an opportunity to have them under his care again. Powell’s attorney in that case, Jeffrey Bassett, told The Associated Press that he received a three-word email from his client minutes before the explosion that read: “I’m sorry, goodbye.” Susan Powell went missing in 2009. Soon after, Josh accused the police of covering up a conspiracy in their investigation. No charges were ever filed against him.
