This break up is about to get uglier than Naomi Campbell’s headline Sherri Shepherd’s Husband Wants Custody Of Unborn Surrogate Child Yesterday, we reported that Sherri Shepherd and her husband Lamar Sally. Today, new details emerge that will further complicate the already contentious separation. Via RadarOnline Not only did Sherri Shepherd‘s husband file for a separation earlier this month, but Lamar Sally‘s filing revealed an explosive secret that the two are expecting a son via a surrogate and he wants full custody! Filed on May 2 in Los Angeles, Sally filed after nearly three years of marriage to The View co-host citing irreconcilable differences — but the real bombshell was listed under the declaration of minor children in which the TV writer listed an unborn son. Listed as Lamar Sally Jr., a due date of July 28, 2014 is listed for the unborn child. A source previously told Radar of the couple’s nasty split that while Shepherd, 47, was desperate for another child, she didn’t believe Sally, 43, would step up as a father figure. “Sherri has a full time nanny, who drives Jeffrey to school every day and picks him up in the afternoon. This has been going on for years, and Lamar doesn’t even offer to help. It is unfortunate. “Sherri started to wonder if he’d ever be able to step up once they had another child, or if she’d be practically raising the child alone,” the source said. But Sally obviously feels differently, as he’s asked for full legal and physical custody of their unborn son, with visitations granted to Shepherd. On top of custody, Sally is also requesting spousal support from Shepherd and asking that the Beauty Shop actress pay his legal fees. So Lamar HASN’T been taking care of Jeffrey all this time??? We have a feeling that this is going to be a HUGE point of contention when it comes to deciding who will get custody of the new baby. Image via WENN

Sherri Shepherd Apologizes For Saying All Gays Are Going To Hell Via Rumor Fix reports: Sherri Shepherd came under fire this week after the topic of homosexuality came up during an interview with Fusion. When host Alicia Menendez asked about the biggest misconception people have about her, Shepherd said people think she’s “too judgemental,” further explaining, ”You grow up being a Christian and you grow up believing homosexuality is a sin; you’re going to hell if you’re a homosexual. This is something that they teach in churches. So it’s something that I grew up believing.” And Shepherd said although she “might not agree” with the gay lifestyle, she’s “trying to make it to heaven by the skin of my teeth.” Sherri’s statement obviously came across as homophobic to some. So, the talk show host released an apology on The View Tuesday. “I’m truly sorry to anyone I’ve offended,” Shepherd began. “My interview was misrepresented, and only a portion of my comments were used as a headline to give the impression that I was condemning members of the LGBT community living in their own truth. In the interview, I express I was raised as a child to have a certain set of beliefs, but my beliefs have evolved significantly as my own personal relationship with Christ has increased.” Shepherd continues, “I believe that love is the grace of all things and I have no desire to judge anybody by who they are. I’m a person of compassion and anyone who knows me knows that I love, I accept, I embrace everybody who has love in their hearts. So I love you.” Do you think Sherri should have apologized for her gay comments?

Sherri Shepherd has something in common with Juan Pablo Galavis and Phil Robertson : All three have gotten into trouble for various anti-gay remarks. In Shepherd’s case, controversy broke out this week following an interview with Fusion host Alicia Menendez. Asked about the biggest misconception people have about her, Shepherd said some feel she’s overly “judgmental” and “homophobic” going on to explain why… and coming across to many as, well, homophobic. “You grow up being a Christian and you grow up believing homosexuality is a sin; you’re going to hell if you’re a homosexual,” the comedian said of her views. “This is something that they teach in churches. So it’s something that I grew up believing. Shepherd went on to say she “might not agree” with the gay lifestyle, but she isn’t going to argue with it, either. But she’s “trying to make it to heaven by the skin of my teeth” and she asks folks to respect how she feels about homosexuality in her attempt to make it there. As you might expect, some took exception to the idea that Shepherd could claim gay people are sinners while still making it sound like she’s not against them, a confusing line to walk that she tried to explain yesterday on The View. “I’m truly sorry to anyone I’ve offended,” Shepherd began. “My interview was misrepresented, and only a portion of my comments were used as a headline to give the impression that I was condemning members of the LGBT community living in their own truth. Will this opinion affect the show’s ratings? Those of Duck Dynasty dropped in the wake of Robertson’s contentious views, while The Bachelor has remained steady after Juan Pablo said it would set a bad example of ABC ever aired a gay season of the hit show.

Out with the old and in with the new. Jenny McCarthy To Join “The View” According to People One bubbly, perky – and outspoken – blonde is about to be replaced by another. Less than a week after the departure of Elisabeth Hasselbeck from the syndicated daytime talkfest The View comes confirmation that Jenny McCarthy will succeed her when the show returns for its 17th season Sept. 9. “YUP, I’M DOING ‘THE VIEW’!” McCarthy trumpeted on her blog Monday. “When word got out that Joy [Behar] was leaving ‘The View,’ I knew that the timing of my desire and her departure might be serendipitous for me.” “Jenny brings us intelligence as well as warmth and humor,” the show’s original host and co-executive producer Barbara Walters said in a statement released by ABC Monday morning. Added the veteran media personality, 86, who next summer plans to retire from appearing on the show: “She can be serious and outrageous. She has connected with our audience and offers a fresh point of view. Jenny will be a great addition to the show as we usher in an exciting new chapter for The View.” McCarthy, 40, a former Playboy Playmate and talk host – of her own show, where she ignited her latest romance, with Donnie Wahlberg – said in her statement about joining Walters, Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd on the program: “I’m beyond thrilled … I look forward to helping make hot topics a little bit hotter, and showing my mom that my interrupting skills have finally paid off.” Jenny will definitely bring some hotness to “The View.” Barbara is as old as the New Testament and Whoopi….we’ll leave that alone.
