Things didn’t work out. The healing that needs to take place is a must. I don’t wanna destroy another relationship. Blessings to him, his family and his ministry. #Fearless” So sad. They’ve also been open about Michelle’s battle with depression that landed her at a treatment facility, and Chad “loving her through that.” “I said ‘Babe, I will understand if you leave. I can go to bed at night knowing that you left because were praying for a wife but not a depressed one,’” Williams said on ‘Good Morning Ameria.’” “But he showed me sickness and in health already before marriage.” Chad previously revealed that he saved up for 11 years for the ring he would propose to his future wife with and gleefully gave Michelle the 5-carat stunner back in March after a year of dating. “When I had the moment that I knew Michelle was it, I was so excited to get that money and go buy that ring,” he told PEOPLE. “There’s so much in that ring. That’s 11 years of my belief in my wife coming for me.” We’re so sorry to hear that these two couldn’t take their Christan coupledom down the aisle. Source: andresr / Getty Restaurant Threatens To Fire Employee For Getting Shift Covered One restaurant in New Jersey is facing some serious backlash after a manager threatened to fire an employee who wanted to attend a friend’s funeral and was looking to get their shift covered. The college student from the College of New Jersey (TCNJ) is a hostess at Café Seventy-Two. She texted her boss, Katie, to check if there was another host who could take one of her shifts. As evidenced by screenshots of this exchange, Katie hastily replied, “Are you serious? No,” before the employee had an opportunity to explain the reason she needed her shift covered. “Someone close to my just passed away, and I’m trying to find a cover for my shifts so I can attend the funeral service rather than call out and leave you guys hanging,” the student wrote, also sending a link to the announcement of Michael Sot’s death, who was killed in a car accident on Sunday. The response from her boss was anything but understanding, which reads: “Oh wow thanks. Just don’t come back to work.” Katie continued, “I like you but I’m sick of all staff not taking their job seriously and just f***ing expect me to cover all of your shifts. I have a business to run at the end of the day. And a family.” Screenshots of the exchange were soon posted to a TCNJ Facebook group, where students showed their support for the employee by saying that they would no longer bring their business to Café Seventy-Two. Students also decided to trash the restaurant on both its Facebook (which has since been deleted) and Yelp pages. The restaurant’s co-owner, and Katie’s husband, Ben, wrote an apology, ensuring that the employee was not fired, also revealing their donation to Michael Sot’s GoFundMe. Hello to all of our loyal customers. My name is Ben, the owner and operator of Café 72, a long standing family run business. I am also the husband of “Katie Café 72”. You may or may not have seen some posts on social media reflecting an interaction with a current Café 72 employee whom is also a TCNJ student affected by the recent tragic death of Michael Sot. The employee was not fired. Her last shifts were this weekend before leaving for holiday break to be with her family and friends until January 28th. This private conversation was not related in any way to the mourning of Michael. Although this interaction was displayed completely out of context by a friend of the employee and drastically misrepresents Katie and our establishment, we recognize that there is NOTHING that excuses it. We carelessly let the stresses of family and business replace the professionalism, respect and empathy that every employee and person deserves. We have received countless hate emails, bad reviews and threatening phone calls and ask that they STOP. We understand the anger and animosity that has been created by these posts, and ask for the communities’ forgiveness. On behalf of Café 72 and our family, we offer our sincerest apology. We have been residents of Ewing and operated business for many years in this township. Café 72 has gone above and beyond for Ewing Township and TCNJ through gas explosions, hurricanes, snow storms and other tragedies and will continue to do so. We recognize that it is our patrons and the community that make us special and a place to come together as one. We would like to turn the tremendous amount of negativity around and create as much positivity as possible by contributing $1000 to Michael’s GoFundMe page. We would also like to add to this donation by giving another 10% of all sales the remainder of this week in his honor. Thank you for taking the time to read this and we wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season.
Where is Kim Porter? Probably cracking her whip on some poor personal assistant who is on her hands and knees scrubbing the dog poo stains out of her carpet. At least that’s what the latest lawsuit against her alleges. Via RadarOnline reports : The baby mama of Sean John Combs, aka Puff Daddy, Diddy and P. Diddy, is being sued by a former assistant who claims she made her work like a slave up to 99.5 hours each week! According to the lawsuit, obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com, Amanda Jansen was hired to work for Kim Porter in November 2011. “Pursuant to the employment agreement, Ms. Jansen was to work 99.5 hours per week. These hours included 13.5 hour shifts on Monday through Friday and 24 hour shifts (8 hours of which were unpaid) Saturday and Sunday,” the lawsuit says. “Thus, Ms. Jansen did not have regularly scheduled days off.” Among the duties Jansen was ordered to perform, the suit alleges, were cooking for the household and staff, going to Costco and “cleaning the floor if the family dog urinated, or defecated in the house.” But the living quarters provided for Amanda, the documents claim, were “abysmal” and the bedroom door didn’t have a lock. Prior to being fired, lawyers for Amanda say she conveyed her concerns that she was being short-changed to Porter and was summarily dismissed shortly thereafter. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages. It’s the second lawsuit in successive months to be filed against Porter: last month, Dawn Drago, filed papers in a court alleging that Porter chain-smoked sticky icky in the house while her children were home. In the latest case, Jansen is being repped by famed attorneys Tamar Arminak and Patrick Reider. Poor thang! Kim can’t win these days between Diddy ditching her for Cassie and the help snitching on her left and right. VH1 Continue reading →

Go ‘head Granny: A 60-year-old waitress who claimed she was fired from a Houston flesh palace because of age discrimination received a $60,000 settlement last week from her former employers. Mary Bassi was 56 and slinging drinks at the Cover Girls jiggle joint when she was let go in 2006, according to the Houston Chronicle. Bassi — who earned between the high five figures and low six figures — was canned after two male managers in their 30s joked that she was exhibiting signs of Alzheimer’s and made other snarky cracks, the paper reported. Prior to being cut loose, Bassi alleged that the managers had scheduled younger waitresses to cover her shifts. The owners, denying any wrongdoing, agreed to settle the lawsuit filed by the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Bassi is now working at another Houston adult club. Good for her, but it might be time to think about working in a different type of establishment. Source
