Just yesterday, Kanye West stated that he spent his honeymoon Photoshopping wedding pictures . As utterly insane as that sounds, it’s not even the craziest part of the story: Kanye claimed that he had booked famed photographer Annie Leibovitz to shoot the first photos of him and Kim as man and wife, but Leibovitz (who’s shot The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Queen Elizabeth II in the past) backed out because she was “afraid of celebrity.” Oh, Kanye. You wacky compulsive liar, you. So what really happened? Well, it turns out Leibovitz pretty much had no interest in working for Kimye to begin with: Leibovitz’ publicists partnered up with Yeezy’s team to issue a joint statement and they managed to avoid directly addressing the fact that Kanye is a delusional psychopath: “Annie Leibovitz is not known to photograph weddings,” reads the statement. “But Kanye dreams big. He loves and respects Annie as a true artist and he wanted to bring her eye for beauty to the imagery of the wedding.” It goes on to say that Kanye was simply “dreaming out loud” and “referencing Annie as an example of how to merge culture and tech.” In other words, Kanye lied, and when he found out it got back to Annie, he had his people put a spin on it, and she was flattered enough ny his BS to agree to a joint statement. Well-played, ‘Ye. Yeezy may have never had a chance with Leibovitz, but it would’ve been good to have a renowned photographer on hand to capture the weirdness of the fact that Kanye’s groomsmen are all dating Kardashian lookalikes .
