‘Jersey Shore’ High Five: Drunken Snooki, The Remix

Plus: ‘Seabiscuit,’ JWoww’s impromptu bathroom and more bonus ‘Shore.’ By Jim Cantiello Snooki on Monday’s episode of “Jersey Shore” Photo: MTV Let’s get right into the five best moments from Monday night’s (January 17) “Jersey Shore” : 5. I Have a Dream So, we got a bonus episode this week, and on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no less — just in time for Snooki and Pauly D to liken their contrasting tans to “jungle fever.” Yikes. Perhaps we should focus on drunk Snooki eating a raw potato instead! 4. Snooki and Seabiscuit Vinny says, “We have this thing with Snooki that, when she drinks, you don’t know what’s gonna come out of her mouth” — but that works both ways. Like that time, five seconds later, when she crawled into Vinny’s bed in order to get some action from “Seabiscuit.” Oh, right, that’s Snooki’s nickname for Vinny’s manhood. Why hasn’t this show won an Emmy yet? 3. Drunk Deena Speaking of drunk people, Deena was kicked out of a club after falling off a stage. As security carried her out, she drunkenly slurred to them, “I’m fine. I’m fine.” No, really, she’s fine. She’s on “Jersey Shore”! MTV pays her more the drunker she gets! It’s all good. 2. JWhoa, What the Hell Is JWoww Doing?!? Speaking of other drunk people, JWoww decided to relieve herself behind a bar. Seriously. But, you know, she rinsed the area with a soda gun, so, “It doesn’t smell anymore.” Note to self: Never order a beer upstairs at Karma. 1. Snooki Gets Arrested … and Remixed Snooki was basically a drunken mess the entire episode, and it was music to my ears. So I think now’s a good time for a “Jersey Shore” r-r-r-r-REMIX! Check out the embedded video for a musical breakdown of Snickers’ sauced shenanigans, including a 10 a.m. beer bong and body shots with a 65-year-old man. You will not be disappointed. Don’t miss “Jersey Shore,” airing Thursday nights at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. Related Videos ‘Jersey Shore’ High Five Highlights

Deena Brings ‘A Whole Bunch Of Vocabulary’ To ‘Jersey Shore’

Rookie explains her additions to the ‘Shore’ lexicon, including ‘backpack’ and ‘stepstool.’ By By Vaughn Trudeau Schoonmaker, with reporting by Jim Cantiello “Jersey Shore” star Deena Nicole Cortese Photo: MTV News In its first two seasons, MTV’s “Jersey Shore” introduced America to countless new words and expressions that have made a lasting impression on pop culture, including “GTL,” “grenades” and “T-shirt time.” Now, with the addition of castmember Deena Nicole Cortese , fans of the show can expect a brand-new round of crazy terminology and phrases. The 23-year-old recently sat down with MTV News and promised to bring “a whole bunch of vocabulary” to the show this season. In Thursday night’s episode, Deena called Sammi Sweetheart a “backpack” because of how she always clings to Ronnie. She told MTV News “backpack” can also be used to describe “one of the … guys that follow me around the club and stuff.” As she was a bit slap-happy on her first night with the cast, Deena used herself as an example of a “slaptard,” which she defined as a “slappy” girl. “I was a complete slaptard the first night,” she said. “I was, like, the biggest slaptard ever.” Deena also dished on one of the harsher terms she has added to the extensive “Jersey Shore” lexicon. “This is horrible,” she admitted, “but you know when you, like, meet a girl but her friend’s hotter? You wanna get in with the hotter girl, so you kind of befriend the not-so-pretty girl?” Deena would consider the not-so-pretty girl in this scenario to be a “stepstool.” “It’s horrible,” she giggled. “But, I mean, it’s real life. It happens in real life.” What’s your favorite “Jersey Shore” phrase? Let us know in the comments! Don’t miss “Jersey Shore,” airing Thursday nights at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. ‘Jersey Shore’ Rookie Deena Cortese: ‘I’m Not Going Anywhere’

Spitfire Jersey girl makes a big impression on the reality-TV show, landing on MTV News’ 11 for ’11. By Jocelyn Vena Deena Nicole Cortese Photo: Josh Kessler Deena Cortese came into the “Jersey Shore” house like a self-proclaimed “Energizer Bunny.” She’s left an impression after only one episode, so it looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of Deena in 2011 — but hopefully not quite as much as the Situation saw on the Jersey girl’s first day in the house. “You never know what you’re going to get. It’s great,” Deena told MTV News about her addition to the house. “I’m very kindhearted, and I’m like a kid at heart. That’s just me. I love life, and I show how much I love life. I’m just being myself.” Deena seemed like a welcome addition to the house after the many ups and downs the cast had with former housemate Angelina. “Me and Angelina have no similarities at all,” Cortese explained. “We’re very different. We’re completely opposite, like oil and vinegar. I’m very positive. There are ups and downs in the house, but I don’t provoke things. I just like everything to be a good time. Positive energy is a blast.” Then again, she did have that run-in with Sammi right off the bat that proves that Deena is the kind of reality-TV spitfire that 2011 needs. “I felt like, ‘You know, what? I’m not going anywhere, I’m not leaving early. I’m here to stay — get out of here!’ ” Deena recalled of the Sammi confrontation. “So that’s what I did. I just put my foot down and was like, ‘Don’t laugh at me. Get real!’ ” At the end of the day, the “walking holiday,” as she likes to call herself, just wants everyone to get along. “We’re like brothers and sisters. You fight and then the next day you’re like, ‘Wait, what happened?’ ” she said. “We’re really like family.” Check out MTV News’ 11 for ’11 — actors, musicians and TV stars who are about to have a huge year — all week long. Ashton Kutcher A ‘Huge Fan’ Of ‘Jersey Shore’

‘I can fist-pump with the best of ’em,’ the ‘No Strings Attached’ star tells MTV News. By Kara Warner Ashton Kutcher Photo: MTV News By now, it’s pretty clear that “Jersey Shore” is here to stay. In addition to the cast being all over talk shows and the blogosphere, the show’s heavily hyped premiere last week netted a record-breaking 8.45 million viewers, making it the most-watched MTV series ever. Not only that, but Snooki told MTV News that she expects the cast will be game for doing the show for 20 more seasons or their “whole lives.” During our fun sit-down with the Snook-ster, she also mentioned personal highlights in meeting her celebrity fans, like Nicki Minaj and Ashton Kutcher. When we caught up with Kutcher recently as he promoted his upcoming romantic comedy “No Strings Attached,” we asked the former “Punk’d” star for his thoughts on the “Shore.” “I was on the ‘Jersey Shore’ bandwagon really early,” Kutcher said with a proud smile. “I met Mike [‘The Situation’ Sorrentino] and Snooki and Pauly D. I met them right after the first season. A good friend of mine started showing me all these pictures of all these guidos online, and then she was like, ‘Oh my God, you have to see this show,’ and so I started watching,” he explained. “I’m a huge fan of the show. I haven’t missed an episode.” Until we informed him that he had, in fact, missed the premiere the night before. “Did it start already? I was just talking about it yesterday. … I will have it on my Apple TV tonight,” he promised. And although Kutcher doesn’t have a favorite catchphrase from the show, he assured us that he can hang with the crew. “I can fist-pump with the best of ’em,” he said. Don’t miss “Jersey Shore,” airing Thursday nights at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.

Snooki Asserts She Co-Wrote Novel ‘Shore Thing’

‘Jersey Shore’ star tells ‘Today’ show that the book is ‘all my own language.’ By Jocelyn Vena Snooki Photo: Josh Kessler Snooki is always quick to point out that her book, “A Shore Thing,” is a novel, and that the novel’s two leading ladies are based on herself and her “Jersey Shore” bestie, JWoww. And for the haters who think she had nothing to do with actually writing the book, she says, think again. “I did [write it] because if you read it, you’ll know [by] the first page I wrote it ’cause it’s all my own language,” she said when she stopped by the “Today” show on Tuesday (January 11). “I had a co-writer [Valerie Frankel] help me. … I wanted to do a story about the Jersey Shore. People probably expect it to be a biography, so I wanted to surprise everybody with a novel.” So, how does Snooki boil the book down? “It’s pretty much like the show, but you’re reading it,” she said. “It took me, like, three months just because we had the idea before I went to the season that’s airing now and then I had to write it while [shooting the season]. “I don’t think it’s fair [how people judge me], but then again, that’s what you see on the show. But I’m not like that all the time … yeah on the show, of course [I’m a party girl], but I’m not like that all the time.” Not only is Snooki out promoting her book, she’s also dishing about her show, which is currently airing all new episodes shot at the Jersey Shore. “I would say this is the least amount of [physical] fighting that we’ve done … we try and stay away from that but it’s really hard,” she said. “[My] 15 minutes [of fame] was, like, a year ago so … hopefully my brand [will still be around years from now],” the reality star continued. “I have my Snooki slipper line, my jewelry line and my book, and I’m working on my clothing line. I’m being smart about it.” Watch “Jersey Shore” Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: ‘Jersey Shore’ Related Photos Jersey Shore (Season 2) | Snooki
