‘Jersey Shore’ Etiquette On Tank Tops, Body Spray And Protecting Your Roomies

Lessons learned from new season of ‘Jersey Shore.’ By Rochell Thomas Snooki and J-Woww on “Jersey Shore” on Thursday Photo: MTV You can learn a lot from a juicehead. At least Jim Cantiello can. Last night our intrepid pop-culture reporter — who was inspired by Snookie and company to visit the Panhandle state — took copious notes on the “Jersey Shore” rules of etiquette. Chief among his lessons learned: Wife beaters are strictly pre-club attire. Got that? According to the Situation, the T-shirt of choice of the brah set is round-the-house wear only. “We wear them before we go out,” Sitch explained. “Right before we go out, we take off the tanks and put on our fresh shirts.” The second lesson of the night came courtesy of Pauly D, who made it very clear that a real Jersey Shore man doesn’t need water to bathe. Apparently, an aerosol can of an Axe-like body spray will suffice. Before their night on the town, Pauly did his personal best to fist-pump the hole in the ozone layer over Florida by spritzing his entire body with the stuff. (Ecosystem? What ecosystem?). Now we know Pauly D is that guy — you know, the one you smell a few seconds before you see him. Greaaat. The third note of the night? Not everyone gets the Situation — especially in Miami. When Mike tries to order pizza, the delivery man thought he was joking when he gave his name. Welcome to Miami, Sitch. Also good to know: Blaming it on the al, al-al-alco, alchohol never gets old. After last week’s brazen three-way kiss in the club, slut puppy Ronnie went home and bragged that he was going to “smush” his ex. “Are you asleep?” he asked an obviously snoozing Sammie before climbing into her bed. When confronted about his free-loving behavior the next day, Ron-Ron used the too-much-booze excuse for his behavior, claiming he blacked out. But the biggest lesson learned from last night’s episode comes courtesy of Angelina, who found out that mack-squashing and jaw-smacking are no way to build a friendship. After having one or two (or 10) too many, the most hated roomie on South Beach (JWoww told her to sleep with one eye open) decided she would watch out for her boy Pauly by thwarting his attempts to hook up with women. She called it “warning” him. He said she was “co–blocking.” She responded by saying that she loved him and wanted to marry him. Then she slapped him for emphasis. Oh, Ang … violence never solves anything. What did you think of last night’s episode of “Jersey Shore”? Let us know in the comments! Watch “Jersey Shore” Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. ‘Jersey Shore’ Fans In Miami Weigh In On Change Of Scenery

‘They bring a little life to Miami,’ one fan tells MTV News. By Mawuse Ziegbe Cast of “Jersey Shore” Photo: MTV After bar-brawling, club-hopping and GTL-ing their way to pop-culture stardom, the “Jersey Shore” kids had to take things to the next level in season two. So the crew upped the ante by taking the drama to another shore. In the second season of the MTV reality hit, which kicked off last week, the gang fist-pumps its way through Miami, and for the most part, South Beach fans have been enjoying the party. “I love ‘Jersey Shore.’ It’s … crazy,” Francisco Santander told MTV News. Denise Mata concurred: “[There is] always drama there, and it’s fun to watch [the] fights and them getting drunk, and it’s just funny to me.” The “Shore” crew has partied its way into fans’ hearts but has also weathered criticism that the super-tanned, party-startin’ housemates — who proudly champion the term “guidos” — reinforce Italian stereotypes. David Gliottone enjoys the craziness but has issues with their image. “I like the fact that they’re Italian,” Gliottone said. ” I don’t like the way that they act sometimes, [because] I think it kind of brings a negative vibe to the Italian community.” Nora Weinberg said she thinks the “Shore” stars should keep the drama up north, but added that it’s cool they’re branching out beyond the boardwalk. “I think they should be in Jersey, but I think it’s fun that they can go to Miami,” she said. George Ott said the crew’s antics have reached beyond the shores of both Jersey and Miami to score fans Down Under. “[I’m a] huge fan of the show in New Zealand,” Ott said. “[I] love the boys [and] JWoww.” As entertaining as fans find the cast’s beachside escapades, one viewer said the “Jersey Shore” crew may have brought too much heat to Miami. “I think the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast is really crazy and outgoing and they bring a little life to Miami,” Cassandra said. “But they need to stick to Jersey because they’re not supposed to be here doing that stuff. You don’t see that here in Miami.” What do you think about the “Jersey Shore” cast being in Miami? Let us know in the comments below! Don’t miss “Jersey Shore” every Thursday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
