‘Jersey Shore’ Cast Returning For Season Three

Show’s second season kicks off Thursday, July 29, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV! By MTV News staff Cast of “Jersey Shore” Photo: MTV After a breakout debut season of “Jersey Shore,” fans are eagerly anticipating the return of the gang’s GTL action when season two premieres Thursday, July 29, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. But what comes next? An MTV spokesperson confirmed Tuesday (July 20) in a statement that the “Jersey Shore” adventure is far from over: The cast will return for a third season. “MTV is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on Season 3,” the statement reads. “Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them. Stay tuned for ‘Jersey Shore’ Season 2 on July 29th.” Viewers already got a glimpse of the coming insanity when the first 13 minutes of season two premiered during the MTV Movie Awards. The sneak peek took us along as the Jersey kids made a trip Down South to Miami. The trailer that arrived last month gave us a better idea of what to expect, with the Situation and his boys fist-pumping in a strobe-light-filled club, Snooki and JWoww doing the robot in their private booth and Ronnie in a hot tub filled with scantily clad ladies. Punches were thrown, curses were unleashed — and what the heck was Snooki doing wearing a floppy sombrero on her head? “Pretty much every night it’s a party,” Snickers declares in the trailer. “You better buckle yourself in!” Season two of “Jersey Shore” premieres Thursday, July 29, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Jersey Shore Vs. Miami: Snooki Compares Clubs, Hookups

When it comes to hooking up, ‘definitely Jersey, because that’s where the guidos live!’ Snooki declares to MTV News. The upcoming Jersey Shore Soundtrack, inspired by the show in all its tanned and tequila’d glory, boasts some of the biggest acts in music. But while “Jersey Shore” star Snooki has love for all of the featured artists, she had no problem naming her favorite track on the disc when MTV News caught up with her on the album release party red carpet at New York City’s Marquee nightclub on Tuesday. “My favorite track is obviously Pauly D’s track,” she told us about her fellow castmate. “It’s his first track on an album, and I’m very proud of him.” But Pauly isn’t the only “Shore” star with a new single. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has also recorded a club-ready song, in which he raps, “I ain’t at a bar to get drunk alone/ I’m gonna take a hottie home.” “Mike’s track is pretty good,” Snooki said. “I’m proud of him.” She’d be happy to listen to either one while partying at clubs on the familiar Seaside Heights boardwalk or near the hot sands of Miami, where the cast traveled to shoot season two of their show. Just don’t ask Snooki to pick which town has the hotter nightspots. “Miami definitely has a lot of good clubs, and so does Jersey,” she said. “The only thing that’s good about Miami is they’re open till 6 in the morning. Jersey closes at 2 a.m., so that kind of sucks.” And what of the clubgoers in each locale? When it comes to bumping-and-grinding and locking lips, which town comes out the winner? “Better hookups, definitely Jersey,” Snooki declared, “because that’s where the guidos live!” Season two of “Jersey Shore” premieres Thursday, July 29, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Hair-Raising News: Snooki to Retire the Poof

Pour out some of your Colt 45 for the poof. “I haven’t worn the poof in awhile,” Jersey Shore star Snooki, a.k.a. Nicole Polizzi, told E! this week of her signature look. “To be honest, I’m getting tired of it.” Does that mean it’s about to be retired? “I’ve been wearing it since I was 16, now everyone expects me to wear the poof,” Snooki said. “I don’t want to be predictable. I want to be different. That’s why I’ve started to do the tease, the curl and pretty much just a different look.” POOF, NO POOF: Sad as that is, at least she won’t go blonde. “Ew, no!” she said. “I am not a blonde. I may act like one, but I’m no blonde!” So true. Meanwhile, Snooki & Co. are flying back to the Garden State to finish filming Jersey Shore (see the Season 2 trailer here) in Seaside Heights. “We have a lot of bodyguards and cops around us because it’s just going to be insane,” Snooki said. “I don’t even know how it’s all going to work. I’ll be scared if a couple of guys come and try to fight us. God forbid I get hit again.” “That’s the last straw and I’m going home. It’s not worth it. But I think overall we’re going to be safe,” she added. “We’re going to have a good time.” Amen. Poof or no poof, the Jersey Shore quotes are gonna be hilarious and at least 10-12 people are gonna get arrested trying to fight these guidos. July 29 can’t get here fast enough.

‘Jersey Shore’ Trailer Previews A Season’s Worth Of Craziness

Season two premieres on Thursday, July 29, at 10 p.m.! By Eric Ditzian Cast of “Jersey Shore” Photo: MTV “We’re ready to come out and destroy this place!,” Snooki says in the brand-new trailer for the second season of “Jersey Shore,” which premieres on July 29. And from the looks of this footage, it seems these reality-show stars accomplished that goal in Miami. There’s the Situation and his boys fist-pumping in a strobe-light-filled club. There’s Snooki and JWoww doing the robot in their private booth. There’s Ronnie in a hot tub filled with scantily clad ladies. Punches are thrown, curses are unleashed — and what the heck is Snooki doing wearing a floppy sombrero on her head? Who knows? The “Jersey” crew may be spending part of their second season in the sweat-soaked beaches and clubs of Miami, but their shenanigans are the same never-know-what’s-gonna-happen-next stuff we came to love during the show’s first season. And the only way to keep up with what’s going on with everyone is to tune in for the second season premiere on Thursday, July 29, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. This trailer promises that you won’t want to miss what happens. Ronnie and Sammy have fallen into a tension-filled pseudo-relationship, with the muscle-bound dude calling Sammy his girlfriend one minute and making out with two girls the next. But as Pauly D says, “I love single Ronnie!” The cast seems to have less love for Angelina, who dubbed herself the Kim Kardashian of Staten Island last season before bailing on the show. Now she’s back, and at least at the start, no one is pleased. “You’re the kryptonite to my f—ing tan,” declares Snooki. What else? Well, there are hookups, there are fights, there are family bonds, there are the Situation’s abs. It’s sure to be a crazy season.
