BOSSIP Exclusive: Mateo Drops An Acoustic Version Of “How Good Is Your Love?” [Video]

We already loved this song, but the acoustic version just takes it over the top! Mateo is one of our favorite artists on the come up… What do y’all think of the song? Here’s a lil more info on our boy: Mateo first gained recognition and popularity through the release of several mixtapes. Garnering over a million views on YouTube, he solidified a fan base eager for his material. Intrigued by his sound and authentic voice, Grammy-award winning producer Kerry “Krucial” Brothers (Alicia Keys, Nas, Drake) took notice and soon began working with the young artist, helping him to mold his style. Also impressed was R&B star, Alicia Keys, who joined Mateo on “Say Its So,” from the Love & Stadiums II mixtape, becoming one of his biggest supporters. Mateo has since witnessed the success of his October 2012 release, Suite 823 (Krucial Noise/Interscope Records) and is fresh off his first national tour, where he opened for Keyshia Cole and Chrisette Michele. Showing no signs of letting up, he will release his latest single and video, “How Good Is Your Love,” just in time for the summer. Showing no signs of letting up, Mateo’s EP titled, We’ve Met Before, is now available. On We’ve Met Before, the Cincinnati crooner journeys through his emotions over a series of love songs; with his lyrics sometimes serving as a double entendre for both relationships and music. Featuring production by Kerry “Krucial” Brothers and Zeke MacUmber, each track lends its own to the signature sound Mateo has cultivated over the years: a warm blend of R&B/alternative music, presented with a smooth subtle tone and enhanced by displays of vocal forte. “I’m in a better place than I have ever been musically. With this EP, I want to show fans how I’ve evolved. They may have met me before, but I have so much more to give them,” comments Mateo. In addition to the EP, Mateo has been treating fans to an accompanying webseries; one that follows the star as he navigates the music scene. Mateo will continue to tour this fall and put the finishing touches on his forthcoming full length album. We’ve Met Before is now available digitally. Lindsey Vonn: Dufnering at British Open!

Lindsey Vonn is making headlines at the British Open in Scotland, but not because of her famous boyfriend, world #1 golfer Tiger Woods. Just for #Dufnering. Vonn posted this photo on Instagram showing herself, Fred Couples’ girlfriend Nadine Moze and PGA pro Jason Dufner relaxing in his signature pose: The Dufnering phenomenon, in case you missed it, began in March, when a photo of the golfer slouched in a classroom during a charity trip emerged. Check out the original picture below, via a Tweet by Keegan Bradley (also a PGA pro), who gave his friend Dufner a well-deserved ribbing over it:

Jane Wicker Dies in Plane Crash; "Wing Walker" Killed in Air Show Stunt Gone Awry

Veteran daredevil Jane Wicker was killed along with her pilot as her plane plunged to the ground during an air show performance Saturday in Dayton, Ohio. The show was suspended following the crash of her Stearman biplane, and expressions of sympathy have poured in to the performer’s Facebook page. It wasn’t clear what went so wrong, but the biplane glided through the sky, rolled over, then crashed and exploded into flames, killing Wicker and the pilot. The video of the crash, below, is not for the faint of heart: Jane Wicker Plane Crash Wicker, whose “wing walking” was an air show staple, said she felt confident of her ability and that lots of practice makes her signature stunt a “managed risk.” As always, Jane had planned to hang underneath the plane’s wing by her feet and sit on the bottom of the airplane while it was upside-down. The video shows the performer sitting on top of the wing; the plane then tilts and crashes to the ground, erupting into flames as spectators scream. The show was canceled for the rest of the day, but organizers said events would resume Sunday and follow the previous schedule and normal operations. The National Transportation Safety Board said it is investigating the crash. On the video, the announcer narrates as the plane glides and rolls over while the stuntwoman perches on a wing as she has countless times before. “Now she’s still on that far side. Keep an eye on Jane. Keep an eye on Charlie. Watch this! Jane Wicker, sitting on top of the world,” the announcer said. R.I.P.

Spanish Sexploitation Director Jess Franco Dies at Age 82

Jesus “Jess” Franco , pioneer of the sexploitation industry and director of over 200 films, died early this morning at the age of 82. After the success of his cult classic The Awful Dr. Orloff in 1962, Franco pumped out a steady stream of blood-and-boobies skinema often featuring lesbian vampires, women in prison , zombies , cannibals , naughty nuns , and works of the Marquis de Sade . He defied the odds at times when no financial backing was available by continuing to produce supremely sexy films with his signature hand-held camera and zoom shots. Franco passed away of unknown causes at the age of 82 on 2 April 2013 in Malaga, Spain. His longtime companion and muse Lina Romay shuffled off this mortal coil last year, and with any luck, they’re producing a lesbian vampire flick together in heaven. Mr. Skin was lucky enough to speak to Jess Franco in 2004; you can read the skinterview here . Then give a one-handed salute to the career of Jess Franco with a look at his greatest work, right here at MrSkin.com!

WATCH: The Mandarin Isn’t Talking Funny Anymore

There’s yet another Iron Man 3 TV spot making the rounds, and, like the international TV spot I wrote about on Monday, it leaves the distinct impression that Ben Kingsley has dialed back the affected voice he was using in his portrayal of the Mandarin . How Kingsley Dialed Back The Mandarin’s Vocal Acrobatics In this clip, Kingsley, in voiceover, uses his signature line, “You’ll never see me coming,” but this time he doesn’t lead-foot the l’s and r’s.  Instead, he breaks up the sentence with dramatic pauses, so he sounds appropriately dangerous as opposed to dangerous and destined to be a recurring Saturday Night Live character.  Check out the second clip for Kingsley’s original reading of the line. A Disney spokeswoman still hasn’t gotten back to me on whether a conscious decision was made to change the downplay the Mandarin’s vocal acrobatics. If that ever happens, I’ll update. Marvel Studios Chief Kevin Feige Plays Superhero Shrink For Tony Stark:  In other Iron Man 3 news, Marvel Studios Production President Kevin Feige plays superhero shrink in an “Under The Armor” interview at Marvel.com and sheds some light on Tony Stark’s mindset going into the movie.  Noting that this latest installment in the Iron Man saga takes place after the events of The Avengers Feige says: “Not only did he encounter all of those crazy characters with hammers and capes and shields and gamma-irradiated strength, but a portal to another world opened above his head. Tony Stark is a very scientifically minded guy who thought he was at the cutting edge of science, and suddenly learned in those brief moments at the end of “Marvel’s The Avengers,” that there is an infinite amount that he doesn’t know. I think that made him feel small in a certain way and I think even encountering those other super heroes in “Marvel’s The Avengers” made him feel like he was not the most powerful person in the world, which I think Tony likes to feel like he is. He may be the smartest person in the world, but not necessarily the most powerful. So when we meet him at the beginning of “Iron Man 3,” he’s using the suit as a shell almost. It is a shell to shield himself from all of this new information, this new influx of reality that is crashing around him. At the same time, as tends to happen in good movies, another villain arises. And suddenly, when he’s sort of at a state where he’d much rather stay in his lab and work on his suits, something happens that forces him to get out of his house, to get out of his lab and even in some cases, get out of the suit, to confront this new evil.” More on Iron Man 3 & the Mandarin:  WATCH: Pepper Dons Armor & The Mandarin Sheds Weird Dialect In International ‘Iron Man 3’ Clip Marvel Studios Says Iron Man 3 Villain The Mandarin Isn’t Chinese, He’s International ‘Iron Man 3’ Director Spills On The Mandarin & He Sounds Like….Mike Ovitz?
