WATCH: ‘Funny Or Die Hard’? Will Ferrell’s Site Celebrates Movie Deal & 5 Million Twitter Followers

My dreams for a feature-length version of Funny or Die’s “Bat Fight” are one step closer to reality. The comedy website started in 2007 by Will Ferrell , Adam McKay and Chris Henchy has partnered with Turistas and   The Lincoln Lawyer producer Scott Steindorff’s Scott Pictures to produce two or three branded movies a year. The story comes via The Hollywood Reporter   on the same day that Funny or Die marked another company milestone — surpassing 5 million Twitter followers — via a video featuring Ferrell sporting another one of his memorable mustaches, touting his knowledge of Singapore, dropping the f-bomb and firing an intern. (“You are shit-canned. It’s a can full of shit, and you are in it.”)  On the subject of his lip broom, can anyone out there tell me if that baby is real or not? If it is, Ferrell should really do a how-to book on facial hair. THR  reports the deal could make Funny or Die the 21st Century comedy brand equivalent of National Lampoon and its Vacation film franchise. Funny or Die Hard , anyone?  I’d love to see that, even if its just a clip on the site, and I bet Bruce Willis would be game. And, by the way, with 20 million unique views per month, I would say Funny or Die has already surpassed National Lampoon as a brand. It’s more like the Original Space Bag of comedy. Cabbie Returns $900,000 in Back Seat to Vacationing Couple

A Singapore cabbie has received commendation and a reward after returning $900,000 in cash he found in the backseat of his cab to its owners. Yes, nine hundred grand in cash. That is one loaded passenger … and one honest cab driver. Sia Ka Tian, 70, who has worked as a taxi driver in the Asian city-state for more than 30 years, said he had no desire to keep the mysterious windfall. “The money is unimportant to me. It doesn’t belong to me, so how can I use it?” he said. Sia found the bag after dropping off a vacationing Thai couple at a shopping center Monday. He knew there was a lot of money in it, but didn’t bother to count it. If you’re not gonna keep it, why bother right? Instead, he immediately turned it in to the lost-and-found office at his employer, ComfortDelGro transport company, who the couple had already contacted. Sia was waiting for them when they arrived to claim their cash.

Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian gave an interview to The Guardian in which she compared the lessons she learned from televising her wedding to the lessons one learns when battling cancer. So… yeah. That got most of the attention from that article. But the piece also featured photographs of Kardashian that were taken by Danielle Levitt. Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Battle in Court, May Never Get Divorced

As a dig at Kris Humphries, Kim Kardashian appears in a new Kanye West music video just as her current boyfriend is slamming her estranged husband. Following events today in court, however, the reality star may need to come up with more overt ways to bash the heck out of this professional baller. Attorneys for both sides of this failed marriage – Laura Wasser for Kim and Marshall Waller for Kris – appeared before Judge Stephen Moloney in L.A. Superior Court. The goal? To essentially figure out why the heck a 72-day marriage with a prenuptial agreement is taking so long to legally destroy. The answer, according to Waller, is that he simply needs time to collect the evidence that will supposedly prove Kardashian defrauded his client into marriage. And Kardashian’s lawyer isn’t really helping him gather what he needs to. “I don’t want to use the word uncooperative, but they are not making the process easier,” Waller told the judge, adding that he plans to depose 33 witnesses and has so far been unsuccessful in obtaining Kris Jenner’s business records. He said it could take four more months to collect all the discovery he desires. Wasser, meanwhile, has no clue what to make of all this. She says Humphries actually sent a process server with a Nordstrom box to Kardashian’s home. Inside was a deposition request for West. “To say I am frustrated is an understatement,” said Wasser, who has claimed in the past that Humphries is simply dragging out this battle for PR purposes and plans on making him pay the $250,000-plus in legal fees that Kim has accrues so far. She had a simple question for the judge today: “To what end does he want this annulment?” It’s unclear, and it may remain that way for a very long time: Judge Moloney set the next court date at November 28 for a status conference..

Dave Mustaine: Barack Obama Staged Aurora Shooting!

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine says President Barack Obama somehow “staged” the recent Colorado shooting as part of a conspiracy to ban guns. Seriously. In comments that may put even Ted Nugent to shame, Dave suggested that Obama was behind the massacre perpetrated by James Holmes … and a lot more. At a Tuesday, August 7 performance in Singapore, Mustaine told the crowd, “Back in my country, my president … he’s trying to pass a gun ban.” “So he’s staging all of these murders, like the ‘Fast And Furious’ thing down at the border … Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there … and the beautiful people at the [Wisconsin Sikh temple].” The rocker continued, “I don’t know where I’m gonna live if America keeps going the way it’s going because it looks like it’s turning into Nazi America.” One major hole in Mustaine’s “theory” (besides basic facts): Obama has not made any push for gun control in the wake of these tragedies. In any case, Mustaine is not a big Obama fan. He endorsed Rick Santorum for the GOP nomination this spring, and has been part of the “birther” crusade. In an interview with Alex Jones (below), Dave wondered why no one has tried to impeach Obama, “With all of the proof about his birth certificate being fake.” “And you see the signs in Kenya that say ‘the birthplace of Barack Obama.’ Hello?! C’mon, guys. How stupid are we right now?” A very good question, Dave. One that’s left us speechless.

I’m Kate and I’m from Singapore . I never knew that I would get a chance to meet Justin Bieber. I went to Singapore’s Bieberfest 8/7/12 which was conducted by Radio 91.3 and Universal Music. Over 500 beliebers turned up for the Bieberfest. We had to actually write something on this purple heart and they would pass it along to Justin. They’d also choose 4 beliebers who would get a chance to meet Justin . Everyone had their purple hearts in their hands ready to register. They also had an official videographer to video us dancing to the mass dance, “All around the world.” They poured out all the hearts out on the stage and picked up some randomly. First was Debby, then was Sufyan, and then it was me! I couldn’t believe it. Finally the day came and we had a surprise that we were going for the press conference! Justin performed for us with Dan Kanter (the best guitarist), we also saw Kenny, Scrappy, Alfredo and Moshe. I was like “Hi Justin” and he said hey. I just hugged him and I couldn’t take it! He touched my back, can you imagine that. After the press conference, we buzzed off to Sunway Lagoon, it was an insane crowd I’m telling you. We ran once Justin started singing. We were also only there to see Justin perform. I will never forget my Bieber experience ever in my life! One Direction Smash Sales Record With ‘Up All Night’ DVD

Group’s concert DVD is currently #1 in 25 countries and has become the first #1 DVD to outsell a #1 album in the U.S. By Jocelyn Vena One Direction Photo: Getty Images One Direction seem fated to always top the charts, if the latest news is any indication. Their live DVD concert special, “Up All Night: The Live Tour,” is #1 in 25 countries across the globe, including the United States. According to the band’s label, the DVD is topping the sales charts in Canada, the U.K., Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, France, Finland, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Turkey. “We’re blown away by the success of the DVD all around the world and want to thank everyone who has gone out and bought it, the support means so much to us,” Niall Horan said in a statement. “It was lots of fun filming the concert for the DVD, so we’re chuffed [pleased] all the fans love it so much.” As if that weren’t enough of an accomplishment, the guys also broke a sales record. The DVD outsold this week’s #1 album, John Mayer’s Born and Raised , making it the first #1 DVD to outsell a #1 album in the U.S. The 1D DVD sold 76,000 copies while Mayer sold 65,000 units in its second week on the top of the Billboard albums chart. Stateside, it marks the highest debut of 2012 and the second-highest debut of the past five years This is the second time the band has broken a sales record. In March, when they released their album Up All Night , they were the first British group to have their debut album bow at #1 on the Billboard chart. While the guys are currently celebrating their latest chart achievement and touring North America , they are also working on new music. According to the press release, they are hitting the studio to record their sophomore follow-up to Up All Night. Earlier this week, One Direction were rumored to be the subject of their own 3-D big-screen spectacle . Although no one from their camp has confirmed the rumor, the film would either be a Monkees-style comedy or a documentary.
