Sean Kingston has settled with a 22-year-old girl who accused the singer and his former bodyguard of gang rape back in 2010, sources have confirmed. Sean Kingston Accused of Gang Rape The musician settled not because he’s admitting guilt, but so he doesn’t have to deal with a court battle on his upcoming tour or during his album release. Basically, the girl who accused Sean Kingston of rape was paid a fraction of the $5 million she asked for in order to make the suit go away ASAP. The exact amount paid to Carissa Capeloto has not been established. Sources close to Kingston say he thinks he would have won the case outright if it went to trial, the same way he avoided criminal charges three years ago. As one source told TMZ, “Her story wasn’t consistent.” “She told various stories throughout interviews with police. Her friend’s story wasn’t consistent with hers. The medical report had no indications of force.” Kingston acknowledged having sex with the girl, who was 19 at the time, after a concert he did with Justin Bieber , but said the sex was consensual. She claims she went to his room for a meet-and-greet and then was physically placed on top of a nude Kingston, then raped by Sean and two others. The lawsuit is expected to be dismissed shortly.

Asked by Australian radio station Gold 104.3 for her thoughts on Miley’s VMA performance , the singer at first labeled it as a “sad” example of a “girl gone wild.” But the Tony nominee then zeroed on the tracks to which Cyrus Twerked alongside Robin Thicke and picked apart the lyrics of ” Blurred Lines .” “She’s in a song that literally says that the blurred lines allowed you to – when a woman says no, she means yes – and that’s frightful because that’s date rape,” said Lauper, adding: “I just felt like that was so beneath her and raunchy, really raunchy. It wasn’t even art.” Lauper is one of many who have expressed shock and horror at Miley’s antics, though the artist herself remains undeterred: She bragged soon afterward about how many Tweets per minute her routine brought in.
