Casper Smart who?!? Despite rumors that link Jennifer Lopez to her back-up dancer , sources tell Us Weekly this singer spent a night alone with ex-husband Marc Anthony on November 8, as J. Lo touched down in Puerto Rico in honor of the former couple’s talent competition Q’Viva! The Chosen . Anthony picked Lopez at the airport and “Marc never stayed in his hotel room,” an insider says … if we know what he or she means! Describing the divorce as an emotional “roller coaster” for both parties, the mole says future hook-ups are also “inevitable” because Anthony “has this hold” over his ex. Still, another friend wants to make it clear: “They may sleep together, but they’re over!” Sure. And sometimes they’re under. And sometimes they’re side-by-side or upside down. We get it.

Continuing her winning steak, Taylor Swift, dazzling in a gold gown, took home top honors at Sunday night’s American Music Awards as the artist of the year. “This is one of the craziest things that has ever happened to me,” the singer, who also won that in 2009, said. “Thank you to the fans. Please, never change.” Swift was also recognized as the favorite country female artist (a foregone conclusion), and her 2010 record Speak Now was dubbed the top country album. The audience at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre was treated to a star-studded night of electronic, explosive, backing track-assisted performances, closed out by LMFAO. The group delivered an appropriate medley of “Party Rock Anthem” and “Sexy And I Know It,” featuring a dance cameo by none other than Justin Bieber. After her set, Perry was presented with a special award for having five #1 singles on Teenage Dream. By James Dinh Katy Perry performs at the 2011 American Music Awards Photo: Getty Images In the past year, Katy Perry has pulled out some show-stopping performances, but the pop titan was all about simplicity when she performed an acoustic version of her latest single, “The One That Got Away” at the 2011 American Music Awards . Standing on a circular platform, Perry appeared onstage before pink-tinged light beams that appropriately matched her hair. In place of the midtempo tune that is heating up radio airwaves, the singer stripped down the song as she played the guitar and was accompanied by her background band. Mrs. Russell Brand belted her way through the regretful love song while her set turned into a starry sky when the backdrop evolved into a screen of speckled stars. Upon the conclusion of her number, the pop star was met with a standing ovation as well as a special award of achievement for scoring five #1 singles from Teenage Dream on Billboard ‘s Hot 100, an achievement only equal to Michael Jackson and his 1987 Bad LP. “Yay! Can I just say, thank you so much for letting me be a chameleon this year,” the starlet screamed during her acceptance speech. “I’m very, very, very pleased, and I want to give thanks to my amazing record label, EMI and Capitol. … I’m about to wrap up my California Dreams Tour , 122 dates, so I want to thank my band and all the people that came out to see me, and all of you guys, ’cause you’re pretty cool too!” This is just the latest treat Perry has offered fans in recent weeks. A little more than a week ago, she dropped the clip for the Dr. Luke and Max Martin-produced tune . The video, which was directed by Floria Sigismondi, takes viewers down memory lane as the pop star recalls her relationship with the one that got away. Did you enjoy Katy’s acoustic set? Trevor Project will present singer with their Hero Award at December event. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Ian Gavan/ Getty Images Lady Gaga has never been shy about her feelings for the LGBT community — she’s perhaps the biggest and most A-list advocate for LGBT youth. Now her work with the community is earning her some recognition. At this year’s annual Trevor Live event, the singer will be honored by the Trevor Project, a nonprofit organization that offers suicide-prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth. Gaga will receive the Trevor Hero Award, Press Party reports. The organization will also recognize Google Inc. with the Trevor 2020 Award. “Our young people are at the center of a health crisis, and vocal leaders like Lady Gaga and technology leaders like Google Inc. have stepped up to help change our culture,” David McFarland, interim executive director and CEO of the Trevor Project, said in a statement. “Our honorees are working with the Trevor Project to make a better today and a brighter tomorrow for youth. We are proud to honor Lady Gaga with the Trevor Hero Award and Google Inc. with the Trevor 2020 award for their work to help young people express their true selves with pride.” Gaga and her mother recently started the Born This Way Foundation , which will focus on “youth empowerment and equality by addressing issues like self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring and career development and will utilize digital mobilization as one of the means to create positive change.” The Trevor party is set to go down on December 4 at the Hollywood Palladium. Gaga won’t be the only A-lister on hand at the big show. Fergie, Mary J. Blige, Miley Cyrus, Gleeks Chris Colfer and Darren Criss, Julianne Hough and “True Blood” star Joe Manganiello are just a few of the stars slated to appear. Criss made headlines last year when he was joined onstage by Katy Perry at the event. The two performed her track “Teenage Dream,” which he had famously covered on “Glee.” Related Videos MTV First: Lady Gaga Related Photos The Evolution Of: Lady Gaga Related Artists Lady Gaga

Patti Labelle is being sued for allegedly throwing water at a mother and her 18-month-old daughter during a scuffle in a New York City apartment building. The argument supposedly began when Patti, who was renting an apartment in the building while she was appearing in the Broadway musical “Fela!”, allegedly yelled at the mother for letting her young child wander a distance away from her while she fidgeted with her belongings. LaBelle chastised the mother, Roseanna Monk, and when Monk scooped up the child and told LaBelle it was none of her business, the singer allegedly threw water on them from a bottle she was carrying and then launched into an obscenity-filled tirade. When the child started wailing, Monk reportedly made a remark to LaBelle, and the singer charged at her and tried to hit her. The Monks filed a complaint with police; no arrests were made. The lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages, comes five months after a West Point cadet sued LaBelle over a Houston airport scuffle with her bodyguards. He said they attacked him for no reason in March 2010. She counter sued the cadet, saying he tried to get into her limousine and was drunk and using racial slurs, which he denied. Roseanna Monk’s lawyer said Monk had asked LaBelle for an apology and a donation to a children’s cancer charity but was rebuffed. The Monks feel “someone’s got to teach her even a diva can’t attack and frighten and assault regular people in the building.” SOURCE Patti LaBelle Names Ledisi As Her Successor [VIDEO]
