Lady Gaga Spotted On ‘Marry The Night’ Set In NYC

Singer is seen dancing on roof of a car in footage posted online. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage Lady Gaga is keeping the wedding reception going for a little bit longer. The singer has once again been spotted in New York filming scenes for her “Marry the Night” video. In footage posted online, Gaga dances on the roof of a car as she sings the bridge from the song. She then slides down the car and begins rolling around on the hood as the chorus kicks in. She’s dressed in black, with a blond bob wig and black heels. It’s visibly raining out as she shoots, but in the footage she appears unfazed by the weather. In some photos posted on Hypable , the singer is sporting a very goth look, including a black bra top, hot pants and over-the-knee boots. A photo posted on Aceshowbiz.com is reportedly from a set-up in Harlem earlier in the day on Thursday. In it, the star wears bright blue lipstick and a leather romper. The website reports that at the Harlem shoot she performed with male dancers and was also spotted in a long-sleeve red dress with padded shoulders. Earlier this week Lady Gaga was in Staten Island shooting parts of the video at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center, and MTV News spoke to the Center’s CEO, Lynn Kelly, who was very excited that Gaga decided to film there. “We found both her and her crew to be easy to work with and low-key,” Kelly told us. “I think we would have expected a lot of drama, and the truth is, she is probably the most down-to-earth person. It was endearing. She was friendly and kind. “I think, for us, we’re so excited to have someone of her talent, and to have somebody like that shoot here is a sheer honor,” she continued. “What her music does for music is so much more than entertainment. It’s connecting to the arts on a much deeper level, and that’s what I hope we can do here.” Related Artists Lady Gaga

‘Footloose’ Stars Love Remake’s Nods To Original

New stars name Ariel’s red boots, Ren’s VW Beetle and Willard’s dance montage as their favorite call-outs to 1984 original. By Kara Warner‬ Kenny Wormald and Julianne Hough in “Footloose” Photo: Paramount Pictures For the “Footloose” purists out there who are worried about how the Kenny Wormald and Julianne Hough-starring remake pays homage to the Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer-led original, fear not: There are more than enough nods to the 1984 dance classic in director Craig Brewer’s 2011 version. When MTV News caught up with the cast and Brewer, who have also assured us that their film stands on its own , we asked them to reveal their favorite scenes that were directly inspired by the original film. “My red boots,” Hough said, speaking to the fancy footwear that both she and Singer’s versions of the character Ariel wear. “The Bug,” Wormald said of his and Bacon’s characters owning a beat-up Volkswagen Beetle. “And the ‘angry dance.’ Yeah, and everything. All the nods I think were appropriate.‬” “I love the flick of the drivers’ license from the police‬,” Hough added about the moment when Ren is harassed by local law enforcement that was lifted from the first film and repurposed in the second. “And Willard [Miles Teller] doing the kick-step right through the lockers,” Wormald said of the boys’ “Let’s Hear It for the Boy”-backed dance montage. “That was shot-for-shot, so that’s incredible.‬” Brewer explained why those moments were “must-haves” for him. “We had to have the ‘angry dance.’ We had to have the ‘teaching Willard how to dance’ montage,” he said. “And I’m very proud to say it’s set to Deniece Williams’ original ‘Let’s Hear It for the Boy.’ There’s this moment where, like, all these guys are sitting around trying to teach him the gangster walk bounce, and it’s set to Deniece Williams’ ‘Let’s Hear It for the Boy.’ Where else are you going to see that but in my version of ‘Footloose’?” He said with a smile. “Then, of course, the VW Bug. If you see ‘Hustle & Flow,’ you’ll see I have a love for junky cars. I think they’re the most beautiful American statement of ‘I don’t have a lot, but we’re going to do a lot with it,’ and the VW Bug, I think, was one of the first of those badass junky cars.‬” Check out everything we’ve got on “Footloose.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Whitney Houston Almost Kicked Off Atlanta Flight For Refusing To Buckle Seatbelt

Original post:

Whitney Houston threw a “diva” tantrum by refusing to buckle up on a Delta flight in Atlanta yesterday. According to TMZ , Whitney pretty much flipped the bird to the flight attendant when she asked the singer to fasten her seat belt before departure. When Houston ignored the request, another flight attendant stepped in and told Whit that if she didn’t comply with FAA rules she would have to deplane the flight. Whitney’s rep said the singer “overreacted a little bit after missing an earlier flight but she’s still 100% sober and was on the way to Detroit for her first day of shooting a new movie.” And did you know that Ray J also moved to the ATL this weekend??? Hmmm…. The star received drug and alcohol treatment earlier this year in a bid to clean up her life. Whitney has landed a role in a remake of Sparkle, which focuses on three sisters who begin singing in a Harlem choir before finding fame in a girl group in the late 50s. R. Britney Spears To Premiere ‘Criminal’ Video Next Week

‘Just saw the final cut of the Criminal video… It’s so hot,’ Britney tweets. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears’ Criminal Photo: Jive/Sony Britney Spears is ready to release her cheeky clip for “Criminal” next week, Spears and director Chris Marrs Piliero confirmed Thursday (October 13) on Twitter. “Just saw the final cut of the Criminal video… It’s so hot. Can’t wait for you guys to see it next week,” the pop songstress tweeted . So when exactly will the video drop? A rep for the singer had no further details about the premiere when contacted by MTV News. Earlier this month, Piliero stayed pretty quiet about what fans should expect from the video, but he did gush about Spears’ performance on Twitter . “not a whole lot i’m allowed to say about the @britneyspears criminal vid other than that i love this video and can’t wait for it to come out,” he wrote. “oh and that she looks gorgeous in it… pretty sure it’s cool for me to say that…” Spears shot the video last month in London, right before kicking off the European leg of her Femme Fatale Tour. The video features Spears and real-life beau Jason Trawick. Little is known about what will happen in the video, but when Spears was photographed carrying a prop gun on set, politicians in the U.K. accused the star of glorifying violence after the London riots. The video was shot in Hackney, which was hit hard by the August riots, and local politicians were upset by what they saw as an insensitive gesture by Spears. “It is only a music video, but it’s images like this, with pop stars glamorizing gangs, which means that some young people … get drawn in,” Hackney’s Member of Parliament, Diane Abbott, told the ITV news program “London Tonight.” “Britney should really know better.” However, Spears shrugged off any criticisms in a statement to MTV News . “The video is a fantasy story featuring Britney’s boyfriend, Jason Trawick, which literally plays out the lyrics of a song written three years before the riots ever happened,” the statement read. What are you expecting from the “Criminal” video? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Britney Spears

Britney Spears Remix Album ‘Shines New Light’ On EDM

B in the Mix: The Remixes Vol. 2, out Tuesday, features Ti&#235sto’s ‘timeless’ take on ‘Piece of Me.’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Damian Vaca Britney Spears Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images On Britney Spears ‘ latest release, B in the Mix: The Remixes Vol. 2 , which dropped Tuesday (October 11), a group of dance music’s biggest names have put their stamp on some of the singer’s most-popular tunes from the past few years. Chopped, screwed and broken down, the songs reach new extremes. “It’s cool that big mainstream pop artists let their music be remixed by people in the underground, like me,” Kaskade , who contributed his version of “Gimme More,” told MTV News. “It shines a new light on the EDM scene and how far it can reach. I give Britney props for taking chances and letting dance music be heard by the masses.” Kaskade is one of many EDM artists who appear on the album. He and other DJs who contributed say it’s been a gratifying experience. “She’s been a pop icon for so long. I appreciate a lot of the values she brings to music,” Cobra Starship ‘s Alex Suarez explained. “She sings really well. I appreciate her talents. I definitely respect what she does and why she’s successful. “I’m impressed people stick by her, and when I got the opportunity, I was like, ‘Wow.’ Britney Spears is huge. She’s a huge name worldwide.’ ” Suarez remixed “Till the World Ends” and said he didn’t want to go too far off course for his take on the Femme Fatale single. “I thought the original was really good to begin with,” he explained. “I thought I wanted to make this as special as I can. I tried to stick true to the structure of the song. “Sometimes, you get remixes and they chop it up and mix it around, which is cool. The thing with a Britney Spears remix is people like to sing along.” Kaskade explained that he was “excited at the chance to get to mess with” “Gimme More,” and he wanted to make sure his remix worked with his musical style. “I wanted to make sure that it would be something that would eventually fit into my live set,” he said. “That is the true test for me: Taking a huge pop vocal and making it work with my music can be a little tricky, but I find the challenge fun. I really dig what Brit does, and this song is awesome, so I was really excited.” The album is a blend of old and new remixes: EDM superstar Ti
