By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Rebecca Thomas Chris Brown tosses his Rolex into the crowd during his performance at the 2011 VMAs Photo: MTV When Chris Brown ‘s Rolex went missing during his high-flying VMA performance last month, it was a young lady in the audience who found the watch and promptly returned it to the pop star. Alisha Borton, a 24-year-old Ohio native, got tickets to the 2011 VMAs through a casting service while she was in California visiting a friend. Little did Alisha know that just by attending the show — and finding Brown’s very expensive Rollie — she would become the unofficial leader of Team Breezy. “I was actually on the stage right behind where the trampoline was,” Borton recalled to MTV News on Wednesday. “You can see me right behind the trampoline … on TV [and] you can see where he takes off his watch and throws it. I guess he did it on purpose. There’s the watch flying in the air, I just picked it up and put it on my wrist. I was afraid it was gonna get broken.” After putting on the watch for safekeeping, the dental hygiene student kept her eye out for the singer. “Whenever he came off the stage, I kind of went towards him but he didn’t see me at all,” she explained. “Then we were walking back to where we were [standing onstage]. Then there was a lady … the lady came up to me [and said], ‘I need that watch,’ and she took it.” The star’s watch is worth an estimated $22,000, and Alisha joked, “I thought it was expensive, I didn’t think it was that expensive. I had it on my wrist waiting for somebody to take it. That’s crazy,” she added about the price of the accessory. “That’s like taking a car and trying to sell it. It didn’t cross my mind that I could keep it.” For helping to make sure that watch got back in one piece, Breezy rewarded Borton with concert tickets and a special VIP meet-and-greet with him at his September 21 show in Ohio. “It’s just been so crazy. Dr. Conrad Murray to Take the Stand at Trial, Profess Innocence in Death of Michael Jackson

Dr. Conrad Murray will reportedly take the stand in his own defense in a desperate bid to clear his name at his involuntary manslaughter trial this fall. He was charged in the 2009 death of his ex-patient, Michael Jackson. After Murray’s defense was dealt a major blow last week – Judge Michael Pastor ruled all references to MJ’s personal life were off-limits, and said several other doctors will not be allowed to testify – his legal odds dimmed. Murray planned to point the finger at MJ’s dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein, claiming he got the singer hooked on Demerol and other powerful narcotics. But, just days before the start of the September 8 trial, Pastor ruled that Klein’s testimony wasn’t relevant, effectively forcing Murray to take the stand. “Dr. Murray is, naturally, devastated,” his lawyer, Edward Chernoff, told Star in an exclusive interview about not being able to call Dr. Klein as a witness. “He sees forces aligned against him and does not know why.” Will testifying on his own behalf make any difference? Can he possibly convince a jury Jackson was a lost cause or killed himself ? Time will tell …

Britney Spears To Shoot ‘Criminal’ Video In England

Spears took to Twitter to reveal that the country would serve as the locale for her “Criminal” video. “So excited to stop over in the UK before I start my European tour in a few weeks,” she tweeted. “Can’t wait! I LOVE London, it’s like my second home. Decided to shoot the ‘Criminal’ video in the streets of merry old England when I get there…” The news of the video shoot comes a week or so after the singer revealed to MTV News that her next single would be the Femme Fatale slow jam . She also teased that she had some interesting ideas for the video. “The song, when I first heard it, it’s really different and it’s not anything I’ve heard like this before,” she told us backstage at the VMAs . “So I really wanted to deliver this song. I was thinking of a really cool concept for the video just to make it interesting. You’ll have to see.” Vote for Britney Spears’ “I Wanna Go” in our Song of the Summer poll over on the Newsroom blog! Just in time for her Euro trip, Spears also graces the cover of Glamour ‘s U.K. edition . A carnival of Britney?” Spears wears a dress with sequins and feathers on the cover, and in the article, she says she’d love to have William and Kate stop by one of her shows in London. “That would be amazing. That would be really crazy and cool. Miley Cyrus to Prestige: I’m Not a Bad Girl!

Having been on an international tour, Miley Cyrus has remained relatively quiet all summer, mostly letting a new tattoo do the talking for her. But the singer speaks out in the September issue of Prestige and doesn’t hold back with a statement on the cover: I’m not a bad girl , she claims, while sporting a new haircut and nary a bra: Cyrus also touches on her career, saying of the film So Undercover : “I’ve got kind of a weird, dark sense of humor, really dry humor, so I would love to do more comedies. But not the comedies that people have seen me in. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: FilmMagic Just after news hit that Justin Bieber had been involved in a minor car accident , the teen pop star began releasing details about his forthcoming Christmas album , which he just announced last week. In a Twitter conversation with his manager, Scooter Braun, the pair revealed more info about the album, even sharing that it won’t contain the holiday standards fans might expect. “This Christmas album is amazing. Might be the best album yet,” Scooter Braun wrote on the social networking site. “All originals … soon 2 b classics. every1 i play it 4 is blown away. #excited.” The 17-year-old superstar then shared, “@scooterbraun yeah we are going hard for Christmas!! #mistletoe.” He later revealed that he had been recording tracks with some of his pals. “Had a great studio session with my big bro @seankingston and the talented @jonathanrotem #GOODMUSIC.” Producer Kuk Harrell (Rihanna, Katy Perry) has also been tweeting about hitting the studio with the singer and revealed another collaboration. “Wow!! Got to see @justinbieber & @taylorswift13 write a song together last night!!” he shared last week. “SMASH!!!! SMASH!!! SMASH!!! Let’s do it again y’all!!!” Bieber hit the stage with Swift during one of her shows in Los Angeles last week. Perhaps as a hint of what is to come, Bieber also retweeted a message from Braun in which Braun said, “Goin 2 bed listening 2 this new xmas album bieber is coming with. really #classic. original xmas tunes that r legit hit records. #greatmusic.” Bieber has been working hard on new music, both holiday-themed and other. When MTV News caught up with him earlier this summer, he wanted his fans to know that anything is possible on his next album. “[I’m] writing about how I feel and producing. I’ve been producing on my laptop and on my computer,” he said. “I’ve been really into it and, hopefully, this next album will be huge.” He added, “I’ve done a lot on my acoustic guitar, so it’s gonna have that vibe,” he explained. “I’m not gonna really limit myself. I think music is music, and genre — I mean, I know there’s country music, there’s rock music, but my music is different. My voice is not meant for any style. The singer has a lot up her sleeve after taking home the Moonman for Best Pop Video for her “Till the World Ends” clip and the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award — and she revealed all to MTV News. There’s been some hot debate about what the singer’s next Femme Fatale single is going to be, and finally her loyal fans are getting the confirmation they’ve been waiting for. “I don’t if I’m at liberty to tell,” she teased MTV News backstage at the VMAs. “But I will anyways: It’s ‘Criminal.’ ” The slow jam should make for some interesting visual fodder, and Spears told us she knows what the video will look like, but she’s going to keep everyone on their toes a little longer. “Actually the song, when I first heard it, it’s really different and it’s not anything I’ve heard like this before.
