Tom Hiddleston is featured on the cover of the latest GQ, opening up to the magazine about his past romance with Taylor Swift. For some reason. Despite splitting from the singer back in early September, the actor goes on in detail about the relationship once the topic is broached in this month’s feature story. Within the first month of dating, Hiddleston and Swift ( Hiddleswift , of course) met each other’s parents and traveled around the world together. They were spotted in public holding hands and kissing and being so overt with their apparent love that many critics couldn’t help but wonder: WTH? Is this even a real relationship?!? Yes, Hiddleston insists. “Of course it was real,” he tells GQ, just a few months after saying he would not talk about Swift . The reason why Hiddleston and Swift finally ended their whirlwind courtship was never made explicit. There was a lot of chatter last fall over just who dumped whom , for example. But Hiddleston only has nice things to say about the singer in this Q&A. Extremely nice things, really. “Taylor is an amazing woman,” the 35-year-old actor gushes. “She’s generous and kind and lovely, and we had the best time.” Yes, the Avengers star admits, things may have seemed unusually intense right off the bat to anyone outside of the relationship. She didn’t wear a meat dress. But Lady Gaga still made quite the statement during halftime of Super Bowl LI on Sunday night. She performed all 13 minutes of her act solo, dedicating the show to “love, diversity and compassion,” based on a Tweet the artist sent not long before taking the field: But… wait! She didn’t actually take the field. At least not at the outset of her performance. We opened with Gaga standing on top of the NRG Stadium’s roof, singing a few verses of“God Bless America” and “This Land is Your Land.” She then recited the Pledge of Allegiance prior to dropping down off the roof and on to the field while suspended by wires in mid-air. It was quite the spectacle (and, really, quite the advertisement for whichever company made those cables.) Gaga was then lowered to the stage for a gravity-defying performance of “Poker Face,” flipping and turning in the air while singing. (Yes, singing. Gaga most definitely did not lip-synch.) From there, it was on to a smoke-and-lights rendition of “Born This Way,” with a bevy of backup dancers supporting the artist, who was front and center and doing her talented thing Viewers were also treated to a rendition of “Telephone,” which led into another classic Gaga jam, “Just Dance,” along with the emotional “Million Reasons.” The latter song included Gaga just sitting at a piano and giving a shout-out at one point to her mom and dad. She also asked America how it was doing ( HA! What a loaded question! ) and said she was on hand to make us feel “good.” To close out the impressive performance, which was very well received on Twitter, the star ditched her sparkle-laden outfit for a white football-inspired look, putting a unique and sexy twist on the concept of a shoulder pad. This look complemented a full-length version of the singer’s massive 2009 hit “Bad Romance.” While she belted out the lyrics, Gaga was flanked by dozens of dancers and massive stage explosives, bringing the show to a frenzied peak. Oh, and she ended things by hurling her microphone to the ground… catching a football… and leaping off the bleachers. Never one to be shy about speaking her mind, Gaga told a Las Vegas radio show last week that she did not plan on making a pointed political references on stage. We knew going in that she would not bring up Donald Trump or any of his policies. “No, that’s not what the show is about,” she said, explaining: “The show is something that is coming from my heart to everyone in America that I love so much. Believe it or not, Justin Bieber is actually a pretty skilled hockey player . The Biebs says he laces up the skates every chance he gets, and he’s displayed his talents in the past by posting videos of impressive plays to social media accounts. But there’s a difference between schooling your friends in a pick-up game and actually taking the ice against guys who play for a living – a lesson Justin learned the hard way during this week’s NHL All-Star Celebrity Shootout: That’s 6’6″ 220-pound former NHL defenseman Chris Pronger clearly enjoying the hell out of laying out a brutal body check on Bieber. As you can see, Justin didn’t find the experience quite as enjoyable. “I was giving him a little back massage in the corner,” Pronger said of the hit, which has been celebrated far and wide on social media. Pronger actually went pretty light on Bieber, but the singer clearly didn’t appreciate the punishment. Not surprisingly, the epic photo has made Pronger something of an Internet folk hero. As far as we can tell, no one has asked Kylie Jenner for her opinion on the ongoing Selena Gomez vs. Bella Hadid feud. But the reality star has seemingly gone ahead and weighed in anyway. Last week, of course, Selena was spotted on a date with The Weeknd , kissing the singer and cozying up to him on the sidewalk outside of a restaurant in Los Angeles. A source told E! News that Gomez and The Weeknd dined at Giorgio Baldi for three hours, sitting in a back room with a private server. “They came out and they were so happy,” an onlooker told Us Weekly of the artists that evening, adding: “They were hugging and kissing. … Selena was all over him, hugging, kissing [him]. She looked amazing and so incredibly happy and in love.” There was also talk that Selena and her new man went back to her place after dinner for a bit of dessert. (If you know what we mean!) Shortly after news and photos from this date went viral, the true controversy began. It’s been less than two months since we first learned that Britney Spears is dating Sam Ashgari , but it looks like this relationship may be even more short-lived than her last one. It seems Sam may have been cheating on Britney from day one, as he allegedly failed to disclose that he was already in a relationship. The accusation comes from Morgan Osman, former star of the Oxygen reality series Bad Girls Club, who claims that she and Ashgari were dating – until she realized he was two-timing her with Britney. Osman spilled the tea in a conversation with notorious gossip site The Dirty this afternoon. Just last week, Osman shared a photo of herself kissing Ashgari. She’s since deleted it, but she maintains that the pic was taken recently. “I have video and images of our REAL relationship. Britney he is using you,” Morgan told The Dirty today. “I don’t know why everyone is attacking me, Sam Asghari is the cheater. I feel sorry for Britney Spears, she seems like a good person.” The news will likely come as a shock to Spears, who just last week tweeted the above image of Ashgari, along with a caption reading, “Mad love for this one.” If the allegations are true, it’ll be the latest in a long line of romantic setbacks for Spears. Last summer she broke up with Charlie Ebersol after just eight months of dating. Sources close to the couple say she was considering marrying Ebersol just weeks prior to the split. While the cause of the breakup remains unknown, insiders maintain that Ebersol was caught cheating on Spears. The situation was described as a devastating blow to her confidence, and being cheated on a second time would no doubt shake Britney to her core. Fans expressed excitement over her relationship with Ashgari, who was widely regarded as the stable “nice guy” sort that she’d been looking for all these years.
