The Voice Season 8 Episode 7 Recap: An Agonizing Choice

The Battle Rounds continued last night on NBC’s The Voice Season 8 Episode 7, with the coaches facing some difficult choices in terms of who to advance. Pharrell, in particular, seemed to agonize over one decision … Kimberly Nichole vs. Lowell Oakley (The Voice Battle Round) Kimberly Nichole vs. Lowell Oakley (Team Pharrell): Their duet on “Hound Dog” thoroughly flummoxed their coach, who took an eternity to declare a winner. Lowell was it. Somewhat surprisingly. Pharrell again crafted a terrific Battle Round performance, but one that assured he would cut loose a great talent. Luckily for the supremely strong Kimberly, she was stolen by Christina, who may have just landed one of the favorites to win this thing, by accident. Briar Jonnee vs. Caitlin Caporale (The Voice Battle Round) Briar Jonnee vs. Caitlin Caporale (Team Pharrell): This one wasn’t as challenging for their mentor. Both were good, but Caitlin was better. It showed. She won the battle, and no steal was used on Briar. Barry Minniefield vs. Jack Gregori (The Voice Battle Round) Barry Minniefield vs. Jack Gregori (Team Adam). Barry took this one rather easily (to us) and advanced to the Knockout Round with a victory over Jack. He’s “Feelin’ Alright” or better than alright after this effort. Katelyn Read vs. Treeva Gibson (The Voice Battle Round) Katelyn Read vs. Treeva Gibson (Team Christina): An unusual and slightly uneven but solid enough performance yielded a clear winner in Treeva. No steal was awarded to Katelyn, so she’s going home. Brenna Yaeger vs. Kelsie May (The Voice Battle Round) Brenna Yaeger vs. Kelsie May Team Blake): Not the best take on Reba’s “Fancy” by either singer, as both were a bit off at times and clearly nervous. Based on her potential, Brenna got the nod. No steal. India Carney vs. Clinton Washington (The Voice Battle Round) Clinton Washington vs. India Carney (Team Christina): Finally, a barn burner! India was incredible in winning this battle, but her rival also won acclaim. That was enough to keep Clinton on the program. Adam swooped in for the steal, meaning that both he and Christina ended the night by cutting one singer and adding another, better one to their rosters. This is Jelena Karleusa, a Serbian pop star with a huge Eastern European following — known in the states in smaller circles mainly for her slick personal style. Traci Lynn Barber to Join Revamped Cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey?

Her husband has already starred on the field in New Jersey. Might Traci Lynn Barber next star on the small screen in the Garden State? Insiders tell E! that “Traci is down the road with the production company” in charge of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and may very well join the cast next season. She and Tiki Barber are neighbors with Snooki. The future of this franchise has been unknown ever since Teresa Giudice began her 15-month prison sentence in January. There had been chatter that filming on new episodes may even wait until Giudice got out, but Andy Cohen recently insisted that  The Real Housewives of New Jersey will move ahead . “When producers approached Traci , they told her they were revamping the show,” E! writes. “Their goal is to include more well-known names and make New Jersey look more glamorous, like the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Among other potential new cast members under consideration is Hala Kerik, wife of former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik. “The show will take an entirely different direction [on Season 7],” this source adds. “The focus isn’t going to be on Teresa and her family’s legal troubles. It’s time for a fresh start. More fun and more glam.” Traci Lynn Barber would certainly represent more drama. She served as Tiki’s mistress when the former running back cheated on his pregnant wife in 2010. Oh, and she was also serving as a nanny for his kids with Ginny Cha at the time. Following an embarrassing fall at the BRIT Awards , Madonna is doing her best to make headlines for what comes out of her mouth… as opposed where she ends up on her rear end. The legendary singer recently lamented the rise of anti-Semitism in France and compared that nation to Nazi Germany . She also said Kanye West is a black version of… herself. And now The Material Girl is featured in the latest issue of Out, which hits newsstands on March 17, and she’s explaining to the magazine why she wants to date a gay man. Kind of. Sort of. There’s just one issue… “I didn’t feel like straight men understood me. They just wanted to have sex with me,” Madonna says of her romantic history. “Gay men understood me, and I felt comfortable around them. There was only that one problem, which is that they didn’t want to have sex with me! So…conundrum! “I was like, ‘How am I ever going to get a date? Maybe if I cut my hair and I lose a lot of weight, someone will mistake me for a guy and ask me out.” In some ways, meanwhile, Madonna also wishes she were gay. “Gay rights are way more advanced than women’s rights People are a lot more open-minded to the gay community than they are to women. “It’s moved along for the gay community, for the African-American community, but women are still just trading on their ass. Kate Middleton to Visit Downton Abbey, Great Britian to Likely Explode from Excitement

What happens when Great Britain’s most popular citizen visits the set of Great Britain’s most popular television series? We’ll soon find out! Multiple outlets confirm that Kate Middleton will visit Ealing Studios on March 12 “to celebrate the success of” Downton Abbey, with the Duchess of Cambridge even receiving a personal set tour from producer Liz Trubridge. Along the way, Middleton will meet with Downton Abbey cast and crew members; including Dame Maggie Smith, Phyllis Logan, Robert James-Collier, Lesley Nicol and Sophie McShera. According to the palace, Middleton will “watch one take of a scene being filmed in the servants’ quarters for series 6 and a second take of the scene via a monitor in the ‘Video Village’ area, before proceeding to the Servants Hall to join cast members, writers and producers in an official photograph.” Let’s hope this one does not include a plastic water bottle . By sheer coincidence, Kate’s gorgeous sister, Pippa Middleton , grew up playing tennis with Michelle Dockery, who portrays Lady Mary Crawley on the award-winning drama. The longtime friends have remained friends into adulthood, even attending a Wimbledon match together last year. What happens when Great Britain’s most popular citizen visits the set of Great Britain’s most popular television series? We’ll soon find out! Multiple outlets confirm that Kate Middleton will visit Ealing Studios on March 12 “to celebrate the success of” Downton Abbey, with the Duchess of Cambridge even receiving a personal set tour from producer Liz Trubridge. Along the way, Middleton will meet with Downton Abbey cast and crew members; including Dame Maggie Smith, Phyllis Logan, Robert James-Collier, Lesley Nicol and Sophie McShera. According to the palace, Middleton will “watch one take of a scene being filmed in the servants’ quarters for series 6 and a second take of the scene via a monitor in the ‘Video Village’ area, before proceeding to the Servants Hall to join cast members, writers and producers in an official photograph.” Let’s hope this one does not include a plastic water bottle . By sheer coincidence, Kate’s gorgeous sister, Pippa Middleton , grew up playing tennis with Michelle Dockery, who portrays Lady Mary Crawley on the award-winning drama. The longtime friends have remained friends into adulthood, even attending a Wimbledon match together last year. Back in December, 18-year-old Raleigh-Durham native Alysa Bathrick became known as ” Cute Mug Shot Girl ” after she posted her booking photo on Twitter so that the whole world could see how totes adorbs she looked when she got busted for possession. The pic viral for two reasons: Alysa is better-looking than your average inmate,  And she hilariously responded “Xanax homie” when asked why she’d been locked up. Now, the situation has become both less cute and less funny, as Alysa has been arrested again (this time for shoplifting), and she’s reportedly been taken into custody three times in just the past 12 months. To make matters worse, her other mug shots aren’t nearly as on fleek as the one that went viral: Clearly, the attractive mug shot bubble has burst. In 2014, Alysa and “Hot Mug Shot Guy” Jeremy Meeks became overnight sensations attracting thousands of pervs offering to pay their bail and slap the cuffs right back on them. Now, Meeks has been sentenced to two years in prison , and Alysa just can’t stop getting arrested. It’s almost like attractive people are bound by the same laws as the rest of society!
