Hi Hater? Martina Navratilova Doesn’t Believe Serena Williams “Retired” From Wimbledon Doubles Match Becaue Of A Virus

Dang, it’s sounding like people think Serena’s a sore loser. .. Martina Navratilova Says She Doesn’t Believe Serena Williams Had Virus At Wimbledon As time continues to pass without comment from Serena Williams’ camp following her default during her and Venus’ doubles match Tuesday, tennis insiders are questioning the virus used to excuse her strange behavior. According to ESPNW reports: The official cause of Williams’ withdrawal from her second-round doubles match with partner and sister Venus on Tuesday was termed a “viral illness,” but that has been a source of rampant speculation. “I find it distressing,” said Martina Navratilova, a nine-time Wimbledon singles champion (with 20 titles here, including doubles and mixed doubles) and Tennis Channel analyst. “I think virus, whatever they’re saying it was, I don’t think that was it. I think it’s clear that’s not the case. I don’t know what it is, but I hope Serena will be OK. And most of all, I don’t know how she ended up walking onto the court.” Attempts to reach Williams’ agent, Jill Smoller, were unsuccessful. The Williams sisters defaulted their match against Kristina Barrois and Stefanie Voegele after four double faults by Serena, who, unsteady on her feet, was unable to bounce, toss or serve the ball. After a few words with the umpire, who came off his chair to talk, she played one more point and then retired. She took her sister’s hand, sat down and was examined by medical personnel. The start of the match had also been delayed by 14 minutes while a tournament doctor checked on her. Barrois said she was able to tell immediately that something was wrong. “Barrois said after the first hit in warm-up, [Williams] wasn’t able to hit the ball over the net,” ESPN analyst and former player Pam Shriver said of an interview Wednesday morning. “I asked her what they were being told, and she said they were just told Serena was being evaluated.” Barrois and Voegele turned down interview requests by American reporters after their third-round loss Wednesday because they did not want to answer questions about Williams. On Wednesday, the WTA reported that the medical staff from Wimbledon and the WTA checked on Serena in the morning at the home where she is staying and that “she is resting there and feeling slightly better.” “It’s the most inexplicable thing of all that she was clearly in no state to play a match and that with all the people around her, that they didn’t stop her from getting on the court,” Navratilova said. She has a point there. Why would Serena be allowed to play at all if she had a virus and couldn’t even hit a ball over the net? To further add to the confusion, Serena’s coach said he had not seen her in the days before the match. Williams’ coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, told reporters he had not seen Serena in two days. Williams, a five-time singles champion here and the tournament’s top seed, was upset Saturday in the third round of singles by No. 25 Alize Cornet. “I’ve never seen anything like it and hopefully never will again,” Navratilova said. “Everybody was put in such a difficult position, including the WTA. It’s not right. It defies logic on so many fronts. The coach said he hadn’t seen her for two days. He didn’t know anything. How can you be a coach and not know anything? That’s wrong. And Venus was just kind of there. You don’t know what’s going on, but virus was not it, that much is clear.” Observers, including friends and family, were reported as saying that Williams was distressed after the singles loss. Navratilova, who was No. 1 in the world for a total of 332 weeks in singles and a record 237 weeks in doubles, agreed it was not uncommon for a top player to want to be alone after a big loss. “[But] why would it take two days?” she said. “Either you go home or default. I would expect a default before you play. But once you step onto the court, you’re a professional tennis player, you’ve got to be ready to play. No matter what is ailing you or no matter if you did anything to get you in that state or you’re sick or whatever, you don’t step on the court. You don’t step on the court no matter what.” SMH. Do you think Martina Navratilova is being a hater, or is she just keeping it real?

Being on Pharrell’s team has allowed her to be in the right place at the right time landing placements with TI, Jennifer Hudson, and Usher. Although she has gained the respect of Pharell’s co-sign, Bia knows that all eyes are on her and she’s got to deliver. Rarely do you get more than one shot – especially as a female emcee in this industry. DIAMOND @DiamondAtl Diamond enjoyed the sweet taste of success at age 14 with her former crew, Crime Mob, whose track “Knuck If You Buck” went platinum in 2004. Signed to King Of Crunk mentor Lil Jon’s label BME, the group’s success continued with the singles “Rock Yo Hips ft Lil Scrappy” and “Stilettoes.” Since leaving Crime Mob in 2007 to strike out on her own, she has worked with hip hop luminaries such as Ludacris, Trina, Eve, Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane. Her singles “Lotta Money” and “Loose Screws” left enough of an impression to make her a nominee for “Best Female Hip Hop Artist” at the 2011 and 2012 BET Awards. In 2014, she signed to Polo Grounds Music joining a roster that includes Pitbull & A$AP Rocky, and with the release of her debut solo album this year, Diamond hopes to climb back to the top of the charts, a decade after Crime Mob made waves in the hip hop scene. NYEMIAH SUPREME @NyemiahSupreme Jamaica, Queens native Nyemiah Supreme began her career as a back-up dancer in the shadows of such well-known acts as Chris Brown and Lil Mama. After high school, she spent a year and a half working as Juelz Santana’s intern, where she got to see some of hip hop’s most notable names drop beats and rhymes in a studio setting. Inspired by her experience and a serendipitous encounter with Jim Jones, she got a break when she was asked to step up to the mic on Jones’ single “Everybody Jones.” In late 2012, Nyemiah had a late night chance studio meeting with super producer Timbaland, where he put her on the spot to write a few verses and from there took her under his wing. Today, Nyemiah has two mix-tapes under her belt, a new EP, and over half a million views on her YouTube videos. She released her single, “Rock ‘n’ Roll” with Timbaland appearing on the hook, handling the production, and appearing in the video back-to-back with Nyemiah. A former background dancer thrust to the foreground, Nyemiah Supreme stands a serious chance of having a career that lives up to her bold moniker but has a lot to prove to herself, her mentor and her fans. SIYA @SIYA Born in California and raised in Bed-Stuy, a legendary Brooklyn hotbed of influential hip hop music, Siya overcame many challenges early on including a drug-addicted mother and incarcerated father, as well as her own run-ins with the law. Siya’s true support came from her grandmother who took her in, but also from the streets of Bed-Stuy. Music became an outlet for her and after moving to Atlanta to pursue her dream, she eventually built a rep for herself and caught the attention of many major labels and well-known artists. While some people in the industry were afraid of how an openly gay female rapper would fit in the genre, Siya remained determined and refused to compromise who she is, always staying true to her own unique voice and style. One of Complex magazine’s rappers to watch out for in 2012, word around the industry is that Siya is the next big thing. “Sisterhood of Hip Hop” is produced by 51 Minds with Christian Sarabia, T.I., Rabih Gholam and Roy Orecchio serving as Executive Producers. Congratulations: Serena Williams C-Walks To Celebrate Winning Gold Medal In Women’s Singles Olympics Tennis!

Serena Williams Wins Olympic Gold Medal For Women’s Singles Tennis And another win for Serena Williams ! Homegirl killed it in the Olympics final Saturday against Maria Sharapova, crushing the Russian on the world stage. Serena Williams became only the second woman to complete a career Golden Slam, winning the most lopsided women’s final in Olympic history Saturday by beating Maria Sharapova 6-0, 6-1. The victory completed a remarkable run of domination by the No. 4-seeded Williams, who lost only 17 games in six matches en route to her first singles gold medal. She went 13-0 this summer at the All England Club, where she won her fifth Wimbledon title a month ago. The career Golden Slam was first achieved by Steffi Graf, who did it when she won at the Olympics in 1988 after sweeping all four major titles. Williams can add the gold medal to her 14 Grand Slam singles championships, the most of any active woman. And she’s not done in London. Williams and her sister Venus, pursuing their third gold in doubles, were scheduled to play in the semifinals later Saturday. It took the No. 3-seeded Sharapova 45 minutes to win a game, and by then she trailed 6-0, 3-0. Williams dominated with her serve and repeatedly blasted winners from the baseline, taking a big swing with almost every stroke despite gusty conditions on Centre Court. The wind was so strong it blew the U.S. flag off its pole during the medal ceremony. When Sharapova wasn’t lunging or whiffing as the ball whizzed past, she was caught off-balance trying to block back shots at her feet. Williams finished with 10 aces, 24 winners and only seven unforced errors. Sharapova completed a career Grand Slam in June by winning the French Open, but Williams beat her for the eighth consecutive time. The most one-sided previous women’s final was in 1920, when Suzanne Lenglen of France beat Dorothy Holman of Britain 6-3, 6-0. When Williams closed out the victory with her 60th ace of the tournament, she let out a long scream. After shaking hands with Sharapova, Williams hopped a dozen times on the grass she loves, waved and then hopped some more. Williams was still jumping about as she put on her Team USA jacket for the medal ceremony. Then she began to dance. We love it that she busted out the cripwalk… Congrats Serena! Black girls are rocking the Olympics BIGTIME. Peep her dance below: Gotta love the GIF! Source GettyImages

Jay Sean’s Pitbull Collabo The ‘Epitome’ Of Feel-Good Summer Tracks

‘I think sometimes certain voices and certain vibes and certain styles just work together,’ Sean says of ‘I’m All Yours’ collabo. By Jocelyn Vena Jay Sean Photo: MTV News For Jay Sean ‘s lead single, “I’m All Yours,” off his forthcoming album Worth It All, there was only one guy who could capture the track’s bounce and party vibe. That guy is Miami-bred rhymer Pitbull , who brings his signature sense of gruffy swagger to the song. “Well, you know, people who know my music, especially when I first came over to America, one of the first things that people noticed with my songs is I like to do feel-good songs. And when it comes to the singles, that’s what I like to give them. And ‘I’m All Yours’ is really the epitome of all that,” Sean explained to MTV News about the dance track. Full of pounding beats and bleeps, the song is about falling for a girl who makes all the partying and fun even better. “It’s taking the modern movement of dance, which has obviously taken over the whole world, but I’m not putting it in the nightclub environment,” he continued. “So it’s still got that element of romance, which is what I like to bring to music. So it’s high-energy and romantic. And the Pitbull collaboration actually happened in Australia, where we were on tour together, and you know, we’re all fans of each other. We got talking, like, ‘Man, we should do something.’ So we laid it out right there and then.” What emerged from their friendship is a song tailor-made for both Sean and Pit. The track is fun, summery and a definite dance-floor anthem, three qualities these two guys know a lot about given their individual music histories. “I think the thing is, you got someone like Pit and myself, we share similar fanbases, but also, as I said, it’s that high-energy music that really blends well together,” he said. “And I think sometimes certain voices and certain vibes and certain styles just work together on a record, so it was just nice the way it came out.” Related Artists Jay Sean Pitbull

Justin Bieber Writes Song About Paternity Scandal

‘I wrote about that situation,’ singer admits during an album listening session Tuesday. By James Dinh Justin Bieber Photo: Lester Cohen/ WireImage Justin Bieber isn’t leaving behind last year’s paternity scandal until he shares his two cents on the allegation — musically, at least. Just a day after his Twitter jab at 20-year-old Mariah Yeater , the pop superstar held a listening session for his new album, Believe, and revealed that the paternity case is just one of many subject matters he covered on the project. According to the BBC , Bieber said his inspirations included “that girl — Mariah Yeater — who said she was going to have my baby,” adding: “I wrote about that situation.” When asked to choose his favorite song on the June 19 release , Bieber struggled to answer. “Every song has a piece of me; it’s hard to pick,” he said. “I wrote almost all of them or co-wrote them.” Yeater definitely played a big part in Bieber’s 2011. The California woman kept the singer at the top of the headlines when she alleged he was the father of her then-3-month-old child. Bieber’s baby-mama-drama track is just one of 40 songs he’s recorded for the LP, which also reportedly features collaborations with Taylor Swift, Ludacris and Kanye West. In another interview during his promotional blitz, the singer dished details about his duet with Drake, even revealing the title of the star-studded track. “The song’s called ‘Right Here’ and it’s a smash!” he told Capital FM . “People are gonna love it. It just rides so smoothly.” Two acts Beliebers won’t see on the album are One Direction and the Wanted, as the star denied rumors of hitting the studio with the teen heartthrobs.
