It's been a rough year for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra. Fortunately, Monday night's episode of Teen Mom OG focused on a recent highlight for the troubled couple. Back in February, Catelynn welcomed her third child , a baby girl named Vaeda. With all these two have been through, it was a joy to witness their obvious elation at Vaeda's arrival. Teen Mom cast members frequently complain that they're treated unfairly in the editing process or that the show only focuses on the negative aspects of their life. Something tells us Lowell and Baltierra have no such complaints about last night's episode. Take a look: 1. One Happy Family It’s been a long and winding road for Catelynn and Tyler. But finally, we got to see them enjoy a bit of happiness thanks to the arrival of their baby girl. 2. Baby Vaeda The Baltierras have been gushing about Vaeda and sharing pics on social media ever since the moment she entered the world. 3. Overjoyed But for all the joyous family moments on social media, few details had been revealed about the day Vaeda entered the world — until last night. 4. Completing the Picture As we now know, Vaeda has been welcomed with enthusiasm by her older sister, and she’s proven instrumental in helping Cate and Tyler move on from the traumas of the past year. 5. New Beginnings Catelynn, in particular, had a difficult time in the months leading up to Vaeda’s birth, but last night, it was all love and elation. 6. Ups and Downs After a year marked by emotional disorders, rehab, and even a trial separation with Tyler, Cate was back on top last night. View Slideshow
As previously reported, Bernie McGee died on Saturday at the age of 41. The Seeking Sister Wife star suffered a heart attack while out for a bike ride, called his wife, Paige, in distress — and lost his life before paramedics could arrive and save him. McGee was the head of one of the polygamous households on this TLC series, which was a sort of Sister Wives spinoff that sought to capitalize on the popularity of one of that network’s longest-running programs. His death, as described above, was natural. No actual foul play is suspected. And yet… Paige took to social media shortly after confirming the tragic news and hurled enormous shade at her own brother. Not merely shade , we should note: She flat-out accused her sibling of killing her husband. Back in March, you see, Patrick Marble accused both Paige and Bernie of harassing and/or stalking him. The couple was actually arrested as a result of this allegation. According to Patrick at the time, Bernie and Page flooded his home with calls and would not stop trying to contact him at work, either. He also claimed his girlfriend was targeted by his sister and brother-in-law. With their court date fast approaching, Paige now says such legal issues had an awful effect on Bernie, Tweeting that “the stress of going to court this coming Wednesday with fear of 1 year in jail wore on [him].” From there, Paige got very personal and very accusatory. She laid into her brother and did not mince a single word in saying Patrick is to blame for what happened to Bernie. “Patrick Marble does not know a damn thing about my husband or him passing. All he knows is what he is reading on FB. I have not spoken to him for any reason and he damn well better not come to my house!” Paige wrote this week online. She continued: “Patrick and my mother having us arrested for not doing a damn thing wrong did this! “We were financially put out for having to hire lawyers, investigators and missing work for this bullsh-t.” Paige (whose mug shot from her arrest this spring is posted below) also alleged that Patrick harassed and bullied her and Bernie. “[He] has admitted numerous times he would not stop until we were fired from the show,” she wrote. “Well, that never happened so he continued his bullying and harassment. Bernie has been under so much stress and the stress of going to court this coming Wednesday with fear of 1 year in jail wore on Bernie. “Bernie was so upset the day we were arrested because our sons had to watch us being taken away. Every night since then, Bernie has said over and over, the look on Johnny’s face. He just couldn’t get over that.” Paige and Bernie made their debut on Seeking Sister Wife on Season 2. Following Bernie’s death, Patrick told TMZ that he plans to drop the stalking charges and that he spoke to his sister recently to attempt to hash things out. But it appears as if she wasn’t interested in any sort of peace accord. “Patrick Marble… YOU KILLED MY HUSBAND AND I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL… And you better stay the HELL away from me and my family,” Paige concluded. Yikes, huh? May Bernie McGee rest in peace. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2019: In Memoriam
Source: Allen Berezovsky / Getty Do public figures owe it to their fans to divulge their personal business? The question seems simple, but the answer is more profound than a simple yes or no. Yesterday, comedienne Jess Hilarious was “outed,” by her alleged sister, for getting plastic surgery. Photos of Jess post-op surfaced on Instagram then Twitter until they had been retweeted so many times, they’ll forever remain in the depths of the Internet. Fans are either outraged Jess lied about having work done on her petite frame or at the people who feel it’s their business what she does with her body. Polarizing. Celebrities like Khloe Kardashian have profited off their “weight-loss” journeys. In 2017, Khloe became the host of E!’s Revenge Body, where she guided the transitions of everyday people seeking a transformation. However, the decision to use Khloe as a host was met with controversy since it’s speculated she obtained her curvy shape by way of plastic surgery. their argument, it’s not about getting plastic surgery, but using your platform in a fraudulent manner that misleads your audience. Squats + lunges does not a Kardashian body make. In the era of social media, it’s easy for public figures to portray an unattainable image that shifts and molds the beauty standard. Women who desperately try to achieve plastic surgery results through everyday routines don’t have the same results. Women have also died on surgery tables trying to achieve the desired Instagram look. Men have stepped into the plastic surgery conversation. Kanye West, whose mother died after undergoing plastic surgery, revealed he liposuction after feeling pressure to lose weight. It is rumored Drake had his abs chiseled. A New York man recently died in the Dominican Republic after getting a similar procedure. Operating under the guise of exercise to uphold a facade can be dangerous and ultimately misleading. On the flip side, society, which operates from the White gaze, has always determined the beauty standard and women who just want to live up to it are human. Wanting to be desired, a la Ayesha Curry, is human and we all have insecurities that influence our decisions. It’s understandable why women get plastic surgery, why it’s so easy to fall into the pressure of looking a certain way. It’s hard to place blame on one party more than the next when each end of the spectrum upholds the standard. So what say you readers, are celebrities obligated to divulge the work they’ve had done? Kody Brown and his four sister wives thought they’d found paradise when they decided to move the whole family to Flagstaff, Arizona . But paradise came with its share of troubles. In addition to the usual drama and fueds, the polygamous family has struggled financially ever since the move. The struggle got even more intense this month, as even more interest piles up on the Browns’ unpaid property taxes. Last year, Kody spent $820,000 on a 15-acre plot of land in Flagstaff. This is a huge amount of space, even if you do have four wives and 18 children. The property is divided into four parcels, each requiring separate payments. Arizona law forbids polygamous co-habitation. Because of this, the plan was to build several houses on the property. This way the family could keep each other close and hopefully avoid breaking that pesky law. But, as a Radar Online report reveals, the plan has encountered major setbacks. A year later, the Browns have yet to break ground on a single house, and they still owe property taxes that were due in December. According to Radar Online , tax payments are only past due on two of the four plots. Kody, Christine and Robyn own one plot together, and initially failed to pay the amount of $2,063.70. After the latest round of interest, they now owe $2,201.28 The second plot is co-owned by Kody (again), Janelle and Meri. They originally owed $1,990.82, but now that’s increased to $2,123.54, Radar Online reports. That’s a total of $4,324.82 just to get caught up on taxes. And obviously, it’s going to cost a lot more than that to build multiple houses for the Browns’ enormous family. To make matters worse, Radar Online now claims that the family hasn’t received any payment for Christine Brown’s former house in Las Vegas. Prior reports seemed to indicate the family had found a buyer, but the house is still listed on the market for the lowest price yet, $574,990. Meri’s Las Vegas house also failed to sell, even after multiple price cuts. Ultimately, it was taken off the market. That must be disappointing for the Browns, who were counting on adding another half a million dollars to their housing budget in Arizona. But we have a hunch that Meri might find having a back-up house useful when she finally decides she’s had enough of Kody and the other wives. Over the past year, it’s been rumored, and even apparent on the show, that Meri isn’t feeling the love anymore. Fans believes that she may leave the flock . Meanwhile, the many stars of Sister Wives are paying rent on no fewer than four separate dwellings and a commercial building in Flagstaff. That’s an incredibly expensive feat for a family that’s already pressed for funds. (Moving isn’t cheap, folks) It all makes one wonder if perhaps this move wasn’t very thoroughly thought out. But the news isn’t all bad. A new season of Sister Wives has begun filming, which means more money is on the way for the Brown family. Will it be enough to square up the taxes, build several homes and feed 18 children? Will the whole family even stick around to find out? It’s too early to say, but it’s clear that Kody and the Sister Wives may have bitten off more than they can chew. View Slideshow: Kody Brown: Sorry, Sister Wives, I’m a One-Woman Man Now!
