My name is Emma, and I am 23 years old. My first Bieber Experience happened on October 19th, 2012 in Minneapolis, MN.  I’ve been a fan of Justin’s for a few years now, but it wasn’t until the past 2 years or so that I became really active on Twitter to show my love and support. Everyone has their story as to how or why they became a fan. All I will say, without detail, is that the past few years of my life had been really rough. I had been going through several personal experiences in my life that had left me pretty emotionally damaged, including the recent death of my father.  I gave in researched Justin in early 2010, and instantly fell in love with everything about him, his music, and what he stood for. Since that day he’s been my guiding light I guess you could say. He’s given me the hope, laughter, and love I needed to get me through. I could never thank him enough for that. Ever. On October 19th, a day before the show, my sister and I had arrived in Minneapolis and checked into our hotel. We had heard via Twitter that Justin was at the Mall of America. We hopped in the car and headed there, only to find out he had already left. Deep down, I never expected to see him at all…so I kept my expectations low to avoid feeling disappointed. Later on that night, with the help of some lovely Twitter ladies, I heard his grandparents had been spotted at the Grand Hotel earlier on that day. I decided to google the hotel out of curiosity, and it just so happened that his hotel was a short walking distance from ours! Again, I had no expectations but we had nothing to lose. We walked over to the hotel and sure enough there were probably about 30 girls or so waiting outside. They said they knew for a fact this was Justin’s hotel, and that he should be returning sometime soon. My sister and I stood off to the side, just enjoying the simple fact that he was actually here, in this city. But I never expected it to happen. A friend I knew from twitter, Meg, was inside the hotel waiting. She decided to come out to talk to us. Out of nowhere, Dan and Josh casually walked outside the hotel doors and turned the corner to walk down the street. (I assumed they were heading out for some fun. Haha.) Dan and I made eye contact, but I got nervous and just said “Hi Dan” really casually, lol. For some reason no one else had recognized them at the moment. So they continued walking. My friend Meg, who had previously met them inside, asked me why I didn’t talk to them or ask for a picture. I really don’t know what came over me at that point, but I turned around and starting walking down the sidewalk to catch up to them. At the time I was in pure adrenaline mode, so I was acting instead of thinking. Now I look back and laugh because I realize I had locked arms with Dan after catching up to him. We continue to walk down the sidewalk as I told him how much I respect him as a musician and person, and I reminded him of the time he direct messaged me after I told him how we share the same love for the same types of music.  He told me to continue walking with him until we got around the corner so we could talk/take a picture without making a scene.  When we got there we continued to talk a bit about random things. He told me I had really good taste in music and then he gave me a guitar pick. He asked where I would be sitting at the show the next day, among a few other questions, then we took our picture. My sister came around the corner at this point so she briefly talked to him as well. (I need to express how true and genuine Dan is though. And he truly, TRULY loves and cares for Justin.) He wished us a great show, we wished him the same, and went back to the front of the hotel. It was probably only ten minutes or so later when the group of girls started screaming as a black SUV drove by. It continued to turn into the alleyway along the side of the hotel, but then it stopped. We were in complete shock, and weren’t really sure if this was real or not. In a panic, we ran into the hotel thinking that we’d have a better chance of talking to him when he came in the front doors. After a minute or so we realized he probably wouldn’t come in the front doors though, so we hurried back outside, and sure enough, there he was. I honestly think I just stood there for a good minute or two just staring in awe. I couldn’t believe this ONE guy who meant everything to me, who doesn’t even know me, was standing right before my eyes.  Security wasn’t playing around though. They kept warning everyone to stand back and wait their turn. At this time, Fredo was talking the pictures as Justin greeted fans. There weren’t many of us, but for some reason security was anxious to get him back in the car.  I could tell Justin was a little flustered because they kept saying, “We gotta go,” but you could tell he wanted to get to us all. There were probably 3 girls ahead of my sister and I when security pretty much pulled Justin away and said its time to go. He said “I gotta go guys, sorry!!” or something along those line, and walked back over to the car. He stood outside the car discussing something with two of the security guys. Like I said, he seemed a little puzzled, not sure why. I really don’t know what came over me at that point, but I decided I wasn’t going to let this moment pass me by. I wiggled past everyone in front of me and walked straight up him (calmly of course, as I didn’t want the security to be alarmed.) I never planned on getting a picture. All I wanted was to tell him how much I appreciate what he does, and to hug him. Again, I was not thinking and acting out of pure adrenaline so I don’t know what I said word for word. But I know I just kept telling him how much I love and respect him, and the whole time I was standing in front of him, trying to get out my words , I realized I had my hands placed on his hips as I looked into his beautiful brown eyes and jabbered. Security started nudging towards him again, distracting him. But he quickly looked down at me, met my eyes, and said, “That means a lot, thank you.” At that point I could only hear my heart beating. Then he pulled me into him, we briefly hugged, and he said, “Wanna get a picture?” I don’t know where Fredo was at that point, and my phone had just died. Once the other girls saw he was taking pictures again so they ran over and started taking pictures of us. I’m really thankful my sister happened to be in front of the pack, because she managed to get the pictures. Right after my picture though security said, “We REALLY have to go guys.” Justin thanked us and said goodbye. I really wanted to show him my Believe tattoo, but I was already so thankful for what had just happened that I couldn’t have asked for anything more. I still can’t fully believe it happened. The show the following day was beyond incredible. I couldn’t believe how much he’s grown as a TRUE artist and performer. And then it happened again…. My sister, another friend, and I had tickets to the Kansas City show on the 26th, the following weekend. After feeling totally complete and blessed with my experience, I had 100% forgot about the fact that I had entered the  bieberfever.com  contest a few weeks previously. It was the night before the show when I got the email saying I had won M&G’s for the next day. I can’t even begin to describe to you what I was feeling or thinking. Pure thankfulness, mixed with nervousness and excitement. It’s honestly still a dream to me. I was so overjoyed that I was not only getting a second chance to show him my tattoo and to tell him what he means to me, but that my sister would get her chance too. The first time we saw him she was just so happy for me that she put herself aside, and never got to properly meet him. When we walked into the meet and greet, there he stood, again, looking as incredible as I had remembered. He smiled at us as my sister got on one side and I got on the other. I looked over and noticed he was rubbing her back, and then I felt him doing it to me too. The other 2 people in our group had walked in, and for some reason Mike (photographer) wanted me to move to the other side of my sister. I didn’t really mind, but I was flustered and trying to find a different spot to put my purse (as I had nervously set it in front of Justin’s FEET when we had first walked in!) While I was finding somewhere to put my purse, I guess Justin was wondering why two more people hadn’t come in with us. It was suppose to be groups of 6, but only 4 of us came in. So after the brief confusion, I moved next to my sister, and we took the picture. I turned to him right after Mike snapped the picture and gave him a big hug. I told him how much I love him as I started to pull up my sleeve to show him my Believe tattoo. Right as I held out my arm to show him, one of the security guards said something to him/me/afan…not really sure. But it had distracted Justin’s attention away. I really wasn’t sure what to do, so I kind of just stepped back a little. Almost instantly he looked back over at me and said, “Wait, come here..I wanna see that.” I smiled, moved closer and pulled my sleeve back up for him. He carefully looked at it in curiosity then looked down at his own arm. He held out his arm for me to see and said, ”It looks just like mine.” I smiled. He looked back up at my tattoo, smiled, and said “Swag Town…” LOL. I gave him another tight hug, as if I would never see him again and I wished him a great show. He smiled, I smiled and we left. When I say good things rarely happen to me, at least to this magnitude, I really mean that. I feel really blessed that I was not only given one moment with him, but two. I never in a million years would have thought it would happen to me. It’s really confirmed my beliefs that good things DO happen. And as cheesy as it sounds…NEVER SAY NEVER and BELIEVE. Justin is a class act. He truly loves his fans more than nearly anything! I have never met, or heard of anyone else who is as REAL, compassionate, and down to earth as he is. Inside, he’s as normal as it gets, fame aside. And as fans, I hope we all continue to do our best to give him the love, support, and understanding that he DESERVES as he continues to grow as an artist…and as a person . I am beyond grateful for what he’s given me. For what he’s given US. Please don’t ever take him, or his kindness, for granted. I will always be here to support him in anyway I possibly can…voting, requesting songs to radio stations, buying his music, gifting his music, anything. But most importantly, just to be here. If he could meet every single one of you, I know he would. Your day WILL come if you strive for it. I promise. Expect the unexpected. – @Belieb_Love (Emma) Continued here: My name is Emma, and I am 23 years old. My first Bieber…

Apatow’s ‘This Is 40’ Is ‘Scenes From A Marriage’ With Laughs − And Viagra

Movieline  would like to welcome Pete Hammond to the pages of this site with a new column that we’re calling Hammond on Film.  If you love movies, then you’re probably familiar with Pete’s byline. He’s the Awards columnist for our sister site,  Deadline Hollywood,  as well as a veteran movie critic who has written more than 600 reviews for the best-selling  Leonard Maltin’s Movie Guide  and, most recently, was the film critic for Boxoffice Magazine and Boxoffice.com.  He has also reviewed features for  CNN.  For his first column, Pete takes a close look at Judd Apatow ‘s   This Is 40 , which opens Dec. 21. ‘This is 40’: The Sort-of-Sequel to ‘Knocked Up’ Revisiting the married supporting characters Pete and Debbie of his 2007 comedy hit,  Knocked Up , writer/director Judd Apatow has crafted his most personal and affecting film to date. In some respects,  This Is 40 is an Apatow home movie with Paul Rudd , returning as Pete, subbing for the director. Real-life wife Leslie Mann and daughters Iris and Maude Apatow taking on the same roles here, and it isn’t a stretch to think we’re watching the filmmaker’s life unfold  onscreen. Smart, funny and truthful in too many ways to count, Apatow, who’s actually 45,  picks up the story of Pete and Debbie’s marriage five years after we first met them. Both are facing 40th birthdays — although Debbie is fudging the truth — and Apatow uses this conceit to build an episodic look at their marital and familial ups and downs over the course of a month. This Is 40 is the most sharply observed and cutting edge of all four Apatow-directed efforts to date, and I suspect that’s because he’s really writing what he knows here. Yes, there is still plenty of Apatow’s trademark raunch, including an opening shower sex scene in which Pete reveals he has taken Viagra, much to Debbie’s chagrin. There’s also a self-inflicted prostate exam and a wild weekend in a hotel room, but  these scenes add up to more than just a collection of outlandish comic moments: This is 40 is such an honest, piercing look at middle-aged marriage that it recalls Ingmar Bergman’s Scenes From A Marriage in unexpected ways. Comparing the commercially successful Apatow to the critically revered Bergman is not something I’d ever thought possible but it is to the credit of a wise , if overlong , screenplay that his film enters that arena. Rather than heavy plotting we meet the family: There’s the overbearing older daughter Sadie, who’s embarrassed by her parents and married to everything wired , and her sweet younger sister Charlotte. There’s also Pete’s needy father ( Albert Brooks ) ,who is dependent on his son for money infusions, as well as Debbie’s aloof dad (John Lithgow), who reluctantly attends a family party that turns extremely awkward in terms of his attempts to renew his relationship with his daughter. Debbie also has a know-it-all trainer ( Jason Segel ) and co-workers in her clothing store business ( Megan Fox , Charlyne Yi) that she suspects of stealing from the cash register. From Pete’s fledgling business — he’s the owner of an indie record label that specializes in reviving moribund musical artists (like the proto-punk god Graham Parker, who plays himself) — we meet his associates. Chief among them is Ronnie, who’s nicely played by Chris O’Dowd ( Bridesmaids ). There’s also a very funny, if over-the-top encounter with a mother at the kids’ school that Melissa McCarthy plays to the hilt with her combustible comic style. But at the heart of This Is 40 is Pete and Debbie’s struggle to keep alive the family unit and the spark in a marriage that’s faded a bit. It’s this very relatable pair that makes the movie work so well. Just as Apatow does with his pungent script , Mann and Rudd manage to hit the exact right tone, walking a narrow line between comedy and drama and nailing it. Special kudos go to Mann, in her first genuine leading role, who has never been this appealing or real. She proves she not only has great comic instincts but real dramatic chops. Yes, these are scenes from the marriage of an upper, upper middle-class Brentwood family, but anyone in the delicate game of ongoing relationships should find plenty amusing, revealing and familiar in this movie. Apatow and family have provided a comedy for adults that is welcome relief this holiday season. I’m Holly and on November 12th, 2012, I met Justin Bieber….

I’m Holly and on November 12th, 2012, I met Justin Bieber. Two nights before the concert my friend told me she had an extra ticket to Justin’s Barclays Center concert. I went over to her house the night before the concert and we made t-shirts, posters and notes for Justin. After we made the posters and t shirts I went home. My friend called me crying saying that her sister had won the Bieberfever merchandise contest and had won two meet & greets. I thought she was crying because she was happy so I began to cry too thinking I was going to meet him. Her sister said she wasn’t taking either of us and that she was taking her friend instead. So the next day we had to go to Barclays early so that they could get in line for the meet & greet. We waited outside about an hour just waiting to be let inside for the concert, when all of a sudden an Australian man comes up to us. He was holding an envelope and was on the phone talking to someone. My friend backed away shaking her head thinking he was going to abduct us or something. He took two yellow Justin Bieber wristbands out of the envelope and said, “Do you guys want these?” I immediately asked him how much they were thinking, they would be over a thousand dollars. He said, “Nothing, they’re free.” I started crying asking if it was a joke and he said, “No why would I do that?” We asked him how he got them and he said that his daughter had 4 and only needed 2, so she sent him to find two girls who needed them . He put his daughter on the phone and we talked to her and thanked her. When we got into the meet & greet I made sure to get right next to Justin. He was the sweetest person I have ever met. I walked in and immediately started to cry. Justin said, “How ya doin’ sweetheart?” I cried so hard and took the picture. When we were leaving I looked Justin in the eyes and said, “I love you so much.” He said back to me, “I love you too.” That night I also met Dan Kanter, Scrappy, and Jaden Smith. I’m the one holding the purple jacket next to Justin. BEST NIGHT OF MY ENTIRE LIFE! Lady Gaga’s Little Sister, Natali Germanotta, Shines in Fashion Shoot!

Natali Germanotta, 20, doesn’t have the same eccentric fashion tastes as her older, famous sibling. You may know her sister, who usually goes by Lady Gaga. Just the same, in a photo shoot for ViralFashion (dot) com, the Parsons The New School for Design student strikes a pose in various high-end pieces. Can you see the family resemblance? The fact that Natali agreed to appear in this photo shoot is surprising, since she’s rarely seen in the public eye and typically allows her sister to get all the attention. She did accompany Lady Gaga (Stefani Germanotta) down the red carpet at the CFDA Fashion Awards in 2011, and starred in her 2010 “Telephone” video. Other than that, she’s kept a low profile. Germanotta’s fashion shoot also features her wearing Alaia, J Mendel, and Proenza Schouler as she hangs out with well-dressed pals at Joanne Trattoria. That’s her parents’ Italian restaurant located on New York City’s Upper West Side. Good advertisement for the eatery, no? Lady Gaga’s weight gain has also been attributed to the restaurant – by the singer herself – which also means the food’s gotta be great.

Ariel Winter’s Mom Sues Actor For Defamation Following "Abusive Monster" Comment

Ariel Winter’s mom is suing an associate of her adult daughter for defamation after he claimed she was an “abusive monster” toward the Modern Family star. Chrisoula Workman filed the defamation and false light lawsuit against Matthew Borlenghi, claiming his comment attached to a November 9 L.A. Times story. Borlenghi is an actor who teaches at a studio operated by Shanelle Workman -Gray, Winter’s adult sister who currently has custody of the 14-year-old. A judge temporarily stripped Winter’s mother of custody amid allegations she had been physically and emotionally abusive to the Sofia the First actress. A trial on whether Workman will be completely lose custody begins Wednesday. Borlenghi said he had not yet seen the lawsuit, which stems from an online comment he allegedly posted on the Times website that quoted Chrisoula Workman. The story centered on Chrisoula (who also goes by Chrystal Workman ) alleging that Winter was having an improper relationship with an 18-year-old actor. The comment attributed to Borlenghi re: that story states: “This is a total falsehood. The mother is grasping and clawing to find a way not to lose her money-maker, and hide the fact that she is an abusive monster.” Borlenghi later said when contacted about the case: “All I can say is that David (Gray) and Shanelle Gray are very close friends of mine and comments that Chris has made are absolutely fabricated.”  “The negative comments she’s made about her own daughter in order to try to get custody back of Ariel Winter are truly disgusting.” Workman’s lawsuit includes several pages of sworn declarations from tutors and other friends and associates denying she has been abusive to her daughter. The declarations have been filed in the case and may be considered by a judge who has to determine whether to allow Gray to continue caring for her sister. A judge said last month that investigators had evidence of emotional abuse toward Winter. Workman has denied she has been abusive toward her daughter.

Stella Hudgens Flexibility Will Get You In Trouble

Well, it appears that Stella Hudgens is way more talented than her sister. Now I don’t want to get into trouble, but I’m pretty sure when Stella becomes of age, we’ll be seeing a lot more of her in these positions when her breakthrough video get leaked on the web.

My name is Emilee and this was My Bieber Experience. From the…

My name is Emilee and this was My Bieber Experience. From the first time I heard “One Time” I was instantly hooked. I remember my friend showing me it because she thought the girl in the video looked like one of our friends from school. When she was showing me the video I had little interest in the girl and a wholeeee lot in the amazing boy who was singing the lyrics. Ever since then, Justin was (and still is) all I ever thought about. Now let’s fast forward to October 2010. That was the first time Justin was coming to my city with the My World Tour. Sadly, I didn’t have tickets and wasn’t able to go. I sat in my room that whole night and bawled my eyes out . I was so upset. I remember thinking there is no way I will ever be able to see him again. All of that changed when he released Believe on June 15th, 2012 and I found out he was going to have another tour! I was SO excited! The day the tickets went on sale, me and my sister sat on the computer trying to get them. Unfortunately, they sold out before we could even sign into Ticketmaster. I still remember that day. All I did was cry that whole day and think I really was never going to be able to see my idol live in person. I was crushed. That whole summer me and my sister spent our weekends driving all around our city trying to win tickets with different radio stations. We had no luck. But in October 2012, a local radio station released a new contest. It was called “Dads In Drag”. Yeah, that’s right. Exactly what you are thinking about. The contest meant your dad had to dress up like a drag queen and get as many votes as possible! The winner won two backstage passes, two meet and greets, two lower level tickets to the show, and $100 cash to spend at the merchandise table!! There was just one catch … There was only going to be 40 finalists out of like 1,000 entries. I was so nervous! I begged my dad to do it anyways and he said YES! I was so glad and thankful that he did! Guess what happened. My dad was chosen as one of the finalists!!! No one has any idea how excited I was when my mom called and told me! Now all that was left to do was vote! We had exactly one week to get as many votes as possible. That whole week it was all we talked, tweeted, and posted on facebook about. We were trying whatever we could to try and win these tickets. By the end of the week we had people from EIGHT different states voting for me to win! Eight! Finally the day had come and the radio station was going to announce the winner. I had school that day and the whole time I was freaking out. I kept texting my mom every 5 minutes asking if they had announced it yet. Finally they told everyone they would announce the winner at 3. I got out of school at 2 so I would be able to hear it. My dad came and picked me up from school that day and on the way home I got the best call any belieber could ever get. It was the radio station. I answered the phone and this is what they said, “YOU JUST WON TICKETS TO SEE JUSTIN BIEBER THIS FRIDAY NOVEMBER 2ND!!!” I screamed as loud as I possibly could and started crying! I couldn’t believe I was getting to meet my idol in person in less than a week! It was seriously a dream come true. I will never forget that phone call, that summer, that contest, and November 2nd, 2012. a.k.a. THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!  The picture above is the picture my dad sent in for the contest.  We also were lucky enough to meet Dan Kanter! Thank you, for giving me a chance to share My Bieber Experience with other beliebers! Hopefully it gives them hope that one day there dreams can come true just like mine did!  Read the original: My name is Emilee and this was My Bieber Experience. From the…
