Via DailyMail A former Stanford University swimmer who was facing a 10-year jail sentence for raping a drunk woman he met at a campus party, has been given just six months in prison for his crime. Brock Allen Turner, 20, was found guilty of sexually assaulting a drunken and unconscious woman. Turner who is part of Stanford’s high-powered swimming program was convicted in Santa Clara County Superior Court of three counts of sexual assault. Superior Court Judge Aaron Persky was lenient, after hearing emotional pleas from Turner and the victim. Lenient? Emotional pleas?? Where they do that at?!? Turner’s crime happened in January of 2015 when he had met a woman at a party at the Kappa Alpha House. The pair were kissing outside. He said he took off the woman’s underwear, penetrated her with his hands and touched her breasts, but never took off his pants. According to Turner, the woman appeared to be enjoying herself as she rubbed his back. He added that his ‘intentions were not to try and rape the girl without her consent’ but to ‘hook up’ with a girl’, the report said. A funeral service is planned in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Even as his health declined, Ali did not shy from politics or controversy, releasing a statement in December criticizing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States. “We as Muslims have to stand up to those who use Islam to advance their own personal agenda,” he said. Mo’Nique And Husband Sidney Owe $400,000 In Back Taxes Mo’Nique had an interesting 2015 after revealing that Hollywood had left her out in the cold after she didn’t “play the game” when it came to promoting her Oscar-winning turn in “Precious” a few years back. It appears that little lapse of work might have gotten her and her manager boo Sidney in some hot water with the feds, since the duo spent two consecutive years dodging the IRS and refusing to pay up. Via MailOnline : Academy Award winner Mo’Nique and her husband are accused of not paying their taxes for two years – and now the government says they owe nearly $400,000. The IRS filed a Federal Tax Lien against Mo’Nique and Sidney Hicks on May 9, according to official records in Georgia obtained by Daily Mail Online. The lien states that the couple, who married in 2006, refused to pay their taxes for the years 2013 and 2014. In 2013, they owed $201,695.99, and in 2014, they owed $188,208.99, bringing the total to $389,904.98. The federal government has threatened to seize her property and assets if they don’t pay.The couple own a 10,600 square-foot home in Duluth, Georgia they bought for $2.8 million in 2007. Yikes. Meek Mill’s House Arrest Extended Over Community Service Discrepancy Can this guy win at ANYTHING??? According to TMZ , Meek Mill’s house arrest has been extended because, once again, he did not follow the judge’s orders. Sources connected to Meek’s camp tell us he got hit with an additional 8 days of house arrest to give him time to complete the right kind of community service, because he volunteered at all the wrong places. According to docs, the judge specified Meek needed to put in 90 days of work with the homeless, Habitat for Humanity or senior citizens and veterans. Meek’s camp says that was never specified, but we’ve seen it in black and white. We’re told Meek spent time visiting schools, helping out with Flint’s water crisis and delivering motivational speeches. Another problem — we’re told Meek only worked 6 days per week.
