According to NY Times: Gabriel García Márquez, the Colombian novelist whose “One Hundred Years of Solitude” established him as a giant of 20th-century literature, died on Thursday at his home in Mexico City. He was 87. His death was confirmed by Cristóbal Pera, his former editor at Random House. Mr. García Márquez, who received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982, wrote fiction rooted in a mythical Latin American landscape of his own creation, but his appeal was universal. His books were translated into dozens of languages. He was among a select roster of canonical writers — Dickens, Tolstoy and Hemingway among them — who were embraced both by critics and by a mass audience. “Each new work of his is received by expectant critics and readers as an event of world importance,” the Swedish Academy of Letters said in awarding him the Nobel. Mr. García Márquez was considered the supreme exponent, if not the creator, of the literary genre known as magic realism, in which the miraculous and the real converge. In his novels and stories, storms rage for years, flowers drift from the skies, tyrants survive for centuries, priests levitate and corpses fail to decompose. Man Taking Selfie Near Train Tracks Gets Kicked In The Head Via HuffPo reports: An April 15 YouTube entry purports to show a man taking a video selfie near train tracks — and paying the price. User Jared Michael posted the video with the description, “I tried to take a selfie while a train passed a ‘safe’ distance behind. I guess I was still too close and got kicked in the head. I messed up.” Many commenters tell Michael that he got what he deserved and questioned his loco motive. At least one noted the possibility that the footage is fake, wondering why he was taking a video selfie. Heavy.com wrote, “Curiously, it’s the only video on Michael’s channel — one of the factors that is leading to speculation that the video might be a hoax.” The Daily Dot, meanwhile, broke down the video into several frames to assess whether the clip is real. Florida Woman Arrested In Conjunction With Animal Cruelty Sex Via NYDailyNews An adult fetish model was busted on animal cruelty charges Wednesday for making a series of disturbing barnyard p**n videos that included killing and torturing chickens and rabbits, Florida authorities said. Stephanie Hird, 29, — the second animal snuff film starlet arrested in two weeks — was cuffed as she boarded a plane at Miami International Airport and booked on five felony counts of cruelty to animals, the Miami Herald reported. Hird allegedly made a string of sickening films — known as “crush” videos to p**n enthusiasts — with Sara Zamora, 28, who was collared on April 4. Investigators say the two wicked women acted in scenes for Adam Redford, a local fishing boat captain who produced the sadistic series of videos which feature the actresses torturing and killing animals while engaged in sex acts. The arrests came after animal rights activists from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals alerted detectives from Miami-Dade’s agricultural unit to the gory clips — which were posted on a website called SOS Barn, officials said. The video allegedly features the little creatures tied down before Hird — who performs pornography under the name Megan Jones — fatally shoots them with an air rifle, according to court documents obtained by the newspaper. Hird, who lives in Arkansas, openly discusses her involvement affinity towards fetishes like feet tickling and bondage on her social media accounts. “Are you in touch with your darkest fantasies? Have you created a life for yourself where you can experience them?” she posted on Facebook in February. “I have. I am f—–g crazy. BUT I AM FREE.” On her Instagram account, Hird posted a couple of pictures of her smiling with Zamora — including one captioned with “#PartnersInCrime.” Hird also appeared in the TLC show “Strange Sex” to help a man realize his dream of being with a giant woman. Where’s the brotherly love? Man Beat And Threatened To Castrate Disabled Brother When will this type of ignorance cease? You can’t “beat” the gay out of someone. According to Raw Story: An Ohio man was sentenced to two and a half years in prison on Tuesday for beating his disabled brother and threatening to castrate him. The Columbus Dispatch reported that Lawrence L. Featheroff, 38, was allegedly trying to “push the gay out” of his brother through violence. Fairfield County Common Pleas Judge Chris A. Martin sentenced Featheroff to 30 months in prison for each crime, but he will be allowed to serve them simultaneously. Featheroff admitted to abusing his 26-year-old brother Jason A. Meyers, who is developmentally disabled, but considered high functioning. Featheroff explained to police that he became angry when his brother confessed to having sexual thoughts towards other men. Detective Brian Lowe testified in court that Featheroff “wanted to toughen him up to push the gay out of him and make him a normal person.” To that end, Featheroff bloodied his brother’s nose, held a knife to his genitals and threatened to slice them off and verbally harassed him. The 29-year-old reality star can’t seem to stay away from the singer, but her close-knit family is not standing behind her this time. “Kim is telling Khloe that she should be really careful with French after everything she just went through with Lamar,” a source close to the reality star told Radar. “He’s got a lot of family drama that Khloe could get dragged into and Kim doesn’t want her to have a difficult romance this time.” As Kim prepares to walk down the aisle with Kanye West, the source said she has been bragging that her relationship is more stable than Khloe’s could ever be. “Kim has said that Kanye doesn’t have any family problems or past relationships that hold him back from completely loving her and so that’s what she wants for Khloe. She wants to see her sister happy and she’s worried that French isn’t going to be able to fully commit to her sister. SMH… According to The Tampa Tribune: A 29-year-old Polk County teacher was arrested Monday night on charges of having sex with a 17-year-old student during a four-month romance that involved a pregnancy and abortion, Lakeland police said. Jennifer Christine Fichter, an English teacher at Central Florida Aerospace Academy, told the boy’s mother that she was in love with her son and admitted to several sexual encounters, police said. The relationship began in November and the sex occurred during early morning hours in Fichter’s Toyota pickup truck, according to a police affidavit. The teen told detectives he and the teacher met for sex three times in the parking lot of a Lakeland apartment complex and three times at a location off New Tampa Highway. He also said they had sex four times outside the city in Polk and Hillsborough, and those incidents are under investigation in those counties, Lakeland police said. Fichter also said she was in love with the student, had sex with him 20 to 30 times, wanted to maintain the relationship and did not regret her actions, according the affidavit. Fichter faces six counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. She was arrested at her Davenport home and booked at the Polk County Jail. We know teaching is a hard job (no pun intended), but these cradle-robbers must be some of the loneliest hoes walkin’ God’s green Earth if they have to resort to teen peen!
