Keeping with the trend of bringing movies to the stage , London’s musical adaptation of Ghost — the embarrassingly awesome ’80s classic featuring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg and the most erotic pottery wheel scene in the history of cinema — will hit Broadway this spring. Matthew Warchus, who is directing the Piccadilly Theatre production of Ghost will shepherd this one overseas, though no word yet if stars Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy will come along. Tuesday marked the 17th anniversary of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain’s tragic suicide. Cobain’s hometown commemorated the day by erecting a statue in his honor. The city of Seattle celebrated Cobain’s life by continuing preparation on its Nirvana memorabilia exhibition. And Nirvana superfan Jared Leto honored the anniversary by posting his own homemade Kurt Cobain audition tape on YouTube.

Confession time: I love Justin Timberlake. Not his music career, mind you — though who doesn’t love a little ” Rock Your Body ” every once in a while — but his acting one. You can grumble that he jumped the shark with endless appearances on SNL and his performance as himself — er, Sean Parker in The Social Network , but for my money, Timberlake constantly hits it out of the park. He even makes something as disposable as Bad Teacher look moderately watchable in a “Let’s wait to see it on a Wednesday night on HBO2 !” sort of way. All of which is a long way around saying that his presence in Friends with Benefits is key to making this summer rom-com look positively charming.
