Young Jeezy Has It’s The World ‘Locked And Loaded’

‘Freddie Gibbs, the whole camp, we ready, we turned up,’ the Snowman tells MTV News of the upcoming album with his CTE labelmates. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Young Jeezy at 2012 Spring Break Photo: MTV News Young Jeezy is still riding high off of TM 103, but the ambitious hustler is itching to drop the next LP — his CTE label compilation album. There is no official release date for the It’s the World album, but judging from Jeezy’s excitement, it shouldn’t be too far off. “I’m ready to put the singles out now,” Young told MTV News after his mtvU Spring Break performance at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. It’s the World will showcase not only Jeezy, but Freddie Gibbs and the rest of the CTE roster as well. Jizzle revealed that the first single to drop will be a song called “Ridin’,” but ensured that the team has more than one bullet in the chamber. “We got the singles locked and loaded, we gonna shoot a couple of videos,” he said. “I’m on tour, so I’m in the middle of the tour, right before I get off I’m ready to go. Freddie Gibbs, the whole camp, we ready, we turned up.” As excited as he is for the future, in no way was the Snowman overlooking the matter at hand: his 2012 Spring Break set. Young thrilled Vegas Spring breakers with his tried and true Akon-assisted single “Soul Survivor,” as well as newer hits like “I Do” and his current single “Superfreak.” “You just gotta come out and when you come out there and you turned up, they gonna turn up with you,” Jeezy said about his performance. “I ain’t come to play.” How much are you looking forward to CTE’s It’s the World ? T.I. And Young Jeezy Join Tyga’s All-Star ‘Rack City’ Cast

‘To have two of the legends that I’m big fans of on the record is crazy,’ Tyga tells MTV News. By Rob Markman, with reporting by FLX T.I., Young Jeezy and Tyga Photo: MTV News The “Rack City” remix video is shaping up to be quite the all-star affair. If Fabolous and Wale weren’t enough for fans, Tyga went ahead and recruited two more rap heavyweights for the clip. Last week, the Young Money solider set up shop in Atlanta and invited T.I. and Young Jeezy to guest on his street hit and its upcoming visual. “I heard the record, loved it, seen it go crazy in the club. I couldn’t visualize it without a Young verse on there, so I just went ahead,” Jeezy told MTV News from the video set. “The homey hit me up for the video, and we in the A-Town, we in the city, we here, turnt up.” Usually, pulling features from such big names is quite the chore, especially for newer artists like Tyga. But already, the “Rack City” remix features some pretty notable MCs, with the Snowman and Tip just the latest to jump onboard. “I didn’t think the song would be bigger than outside of L.A., because that’s like an L.A. sound,” Tyga said, “So to have two of the legends that I’m big fans of on the record is crazy.” When talking about his decision to jump on the record, T.I. was as nonchalant as could be. “For me, I got reached out to. They told me to add my two cents in, so I did just that,” Tip said. “When they told me the video was coming, I picked out an outfit.” During a separate January shoot for the same video, Wale joked about the influence Tyga’s “Rack City” had on strippers. “I’m just happy that I can be a part of a record that’s influencing and making so many young, ambitious dancers so much money,” Wale playfully told MTV News while shooting the song’s video down in Miami on January 13. “It’s very beneficial to so many young women across the country. The strip clubs are stress relief. Welcome to Rack City!” What do you think Jeezy and T.I. will add to “Rack City”? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists T.I. Young Jeezy Tyga

Young Jeezy Refused To ‘Rush Greatness’ Making TM 103

‘I just wanted to deliver something that was worth the wait, and that’s what I feel like I done,’ Jeezy tells ‘Rapfix Live’ about upcoming release. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Young Jeezy Photo: Getty Images It’s not that Young Jeezy pulled a disappearing act since his 2008 LP The Recession . The Snowman has dropped a number of singles and mixtapes since then, but those releases haven’t satisfied the thirst for his upcoming TM 103: Hustlerz Ambition . Jeezy’s long-awaited album has been three years in the making, but the ATL trap star promises it will be worth the wait. “I ain’t the one for making excuses. I was always taught as a youngin by the OGs that you can’t take your problems and make them somebody else’s if you promised them something,” Jeezy said about his album delay on Wednesday’s “RapFix Live.” “I went through a lot of trials and tribs and different things, but I gotta take that and endure that.” Jeezy didn’t clarify what those problems were, but he told MTV News’ Sway Calloway that he had some real distractions that could’ve cost him everything. Still, the Snowman made no excuses — after all, he considers himself a mascot for the streets and one of the hood’s chief motivators. “I was dedicated every day. I put out a few mixtapes because I wanted them to know that I wasn’t being lax, or I wasn’t comfortable,” he said. ” The Real is Back 1 and 2, Trap or Die 2: By Any Means Necessary , The Last Laugh , all of that was an effort to show them that I’m really working, and I was working on the album as well.” In addition to all the free music he delivered his fans since 2008’s Recession , Jeezy also joined Lil Wayne on his America’s Most Wanted Tour and Jay-Z on his Blueprint 3 Tour. Ultimately, the “Put On” rapper just wanted to make TM 103 a quality album. “I just wanted to deliver something that was worth the wait, and that’s what I feel like I’ve done,” he said. The album is due out December 20, but a number of tracks already have been released, including the rambunctious “Lose My Mind” featuring Plies and the soul-bearing “F.A.M.E.” with T.I. Last month, Jeezy leaked “I Do,” a metaphoric song featuring Jay-Z and Andre 3000 that talks about hustling in the streets and marriage in the same breath. Then Thursday (December 1), the Snowman leaked another track, the Eminem- and Freddie Gibbs-featuring “Talk to Me.” The slow-rolling jam finds Jeezy rapping about his inner-most feelings, while Em eerily sings, “Somebody better explain why my ears are ringing so loud/ If someone’s got something to say, grow some balls and say it to my face,” on the song’s hook. It might have taken a few years to finish the album, but Young Jeezy said that doesn’t matter. “I feel like it wasn’t time. I felt like I was being rushed, and one thing I was taught is you don’t rush greatness,” he said. “I don’t care about no radio or no label or no date or no deadlines or no quotas — this is for my people.” Are you awaiting TM 103: Hustlerz Ambition ? T.I. And Young Jeezy Get ‘Honest’ About ‘F.A.M.E.’

‘The song to me meant a lot, because I don’t normally talk about how I feel and what’s going on in my world,’ Jeezy tells MTV News on video set. By Rob Markman, with reporting by James Smith T.I. and Young Jeezy Photo: Chris McKay/ Getty Images Sometimes the fame can just be too much — just ask Young Jeezy and T.I. On the Snowman’s new J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League-produced single “F.A.M.E.,” he and Tip expound on the pressures of being in the limelight. “I wanted to let them know ‘Fake-Ass Mother—-ers Envy,’ because they really do, and I just wanted to go in like that,” Jeezy told MTV News on the set for the song’s video in Atlanta over the weekend. In his first verse, Jeezy addresses the constant delays of his TM 103 album when he spits, “I bet you feel like the whole world hatin’ on you/ Well what’s the holdup? The whole world waitin’ on you.” For Jeezy, the single is a departure from his usual trap-based material. “The song to me meant a lot, because I don’t normally talk about how I feel and what’s going on in my world,” he said. T.I. has been going through his own trials and tribulations. In September, he was released from prison after violating his probation in 2010. Tip used “F.A.M.E.” as a conduit to address his innermost feelings. “Another year in prison, promise this is it for me/ Tryna make it through the storm, should be makin’ history,” he rhymed. “It’s an honest interpretation of where I am mentally and how I feel about others volunteering their opinion on my circumstances without having full knowledge,” T.I. said of his verse. “I felt that it was appropriate when I listened to it. It musically said everything that I wanted to say verbally.” What are you expecting from the “F.A.M.E.” video? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Young Jeezy T.I.

Rihanna Launching New Perfume “Rebelle” [PHOTO]

Rihanna’s “Reb’l Fleur” perfume is getting a sister. Following the first fragrance, Riri is set to launch “Rebelle,” which aims to explore her mysterious and sensual side, according to Billboard . She first made mention of the fragrance back in May, when she tweeted: “Wore the sample last night and all the fly girls wanted some.” She recently explained further: “My new fragrance is about taking control but still being a lady. There’s a feminine, romantic element to the fragrance — but there’s also a defiant quality in it. I love its duality.” The bottle will be the same as it’s predecessor – inspired by a stiletto heel – but will instead feature a crimson “ribbon” to highlight the scent’s spicy notes. So what does it smell like? Somewhat exotic and musky, the notes include coffee beans, amber and a hint of vanilla. Will you be wearing Rebelle? Fab Or Fug? Young Jeezy’s TM 103 Will ‘Hurt Feelings,’ Freddie Gibbs Says

‘It’s definitely coming,’ Gibbs tells ‘RapFix Live’ of Jeezy’s long-awaited September 20 album. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Freddie Gibbs, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock Photo: MTV News It’s been a long time coming. Young Jeezy ‘s TM 103 is finally arriving, says Freddie Gibbs . At a New York City concert in July, the Snowman announced that his much-anticipated album would be released on September 20, but after nearly two years of delays, many were skeptical. “Yeah it’s coming out, it’s definitely coming,” Jeezy’s newest signee Gibbs told “RapFix Live” on Wednesday. ” TM 103, that’s gonna be something to be reckoned with,” Gibbs said. Back in 2010, the Plies -assisted “Lose My Mind” was the first official track released from the album, and Jeezy’s current single, “Ballin’,” featuring Lil Wayne , is picking up steam in the streets. In promoting the LP, Jeezy released his The Real Is Back 2 mixtape with DJ Drama on September 3, but fans have yet to see TM 103 ‘s album cover or an official track listing, and with less than two weeks before it is due in stores, anticipation is building. “It’s a lot of rumblings, it’s gonna be some controversy with that record too,” Gibbs said. “People’s feelings gonna get hurt.” Jeezy’s debut album, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, dropped in 2005, and the following year he dropped The Inspiration: Thug Motivation 102 . By 2008, Mr. 17.5 had taken a break from the TM series, deciding to release The Recession instead, but now he has decided to return to the album series that cemented his place as a rap titan. As far as what TM 103 has in store, Gibbs wouldn’t say, instead choosing to let his CTE CEO present the long-awaited LP as he sees fit. “I ain’t speaking on nothing Jeezy doin’,” Gibbs said. “I know what I’m doin’.” Related Videos ‘RapFix Live’ With Freddie Gibbs, Kendrick Lamar And Jay Rock Related Artists Freddie Gibbs Young Jeezy

Young Jeezy Reflects On Thug Motivation 101 Debut

‘I wanted to take everybody back,’ Jeezy tells MTV news of staging album-anniversary concerts in NYC and ATL. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Rahman Dukes Young Jeezy Photo: MTV News Young Jeezy sure knows how to throw a birthday bash. To celebrate the six-year anniversary of the release of his 2005 debut album, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, Jeezy staged a pair of concerts , one in New York City on Monday, and a second on Tuesday, which was actually the anniversary of the album, in Atlanta. “It felt good to see the city out, givin’ everybody something to dress up for, get out have a good time,” the Snowman told MTV News on Tuesday while backstage at his ATL show. “It was definitely a lot of thug motivatin’ going on. Everybody was there for one reason: We were celebrating. It was a celebration. “I just wanted to put somethin’ together that was special,” he said of the tribute shows. “Music is so different nowadays from when I came out. An album would last two or three years, especially when you have a classic like I do,” he added with a chuckle. In NYC, Jeezy thrilled concertgoers as he ran through the TM 101 track list, bringing out special guests like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Bun B, Fabolous and the LOX during the 80-minute show. And for Atlanta, Jizzle brought out Yo Gotti and Lil Scrappy. “I got a lot of what I call family in this industry. It’s a lot of cats that came from the same walk of life that I came from and we really rock like that,” Jeezy said about his star-studded guest list. “We just show that support for each other. I’ve been on tour with a lot of these cats and kick it on the phone with them daily, so it’s phone calls, two, three phone calls,” he said of getting his rap-star friends to participate. When it was released in 2005, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 helped usher in a brand of drug-related, trap rap that has become prevalent in hip-hop in the past six years. Things have definitely changed since Jeezy made his first splash, but he believes his album represents a specific time in hip-hop that may never return. ” ’05 was a beautiful year — for the economy, for the people, for the hood, just working-class, even if you were a street hustler,” Young Jeezy said of his rookie year in rap. “The world is a different place now, so I wanted to take everybody back and give them that feeling, because it’s hard out here. At the same time, just that in the back of your head, knowing when this music was playing what you were doing, help you get through your day again, still motivation.” During his set in NY, Jeezy announced that his long awaited TM 103 will be released on September 20, and on Tuesday, he announced a 26-ctiy tour that will begin in New Orleans on July 31, concluding in Seattle on September 2.
