Critics’ Choice Awards Love The Social Network And Natalie Portman As Much As Everyone Else Did

Last night the Broadcast Film Critics Association doled out their yearly accolades for the best acheivements in film, with many of the usual suspects getting the gold. The Social Network won best picture, Natalie Portman best actress, Colin Firth best actor, and so on (although Inception cleaned up fairly well in the technical categories. Might this be a portent for bigger things?). At this rate, the Golden Globes might be a bit of snoozefest. The full list of winners after the jump.

Nicki Minaj To Perform On ‘Saturday Night Live’

Jesse Eisenberg will host the January 29 episode; Linkin Park and Dana Carvey lined up for February 5 show. By James Dinh Nicki Minaj Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Nicki Minaj has been tapped as the musical guest for an upcoming episode of “Saturday Night Live.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Young Money MC will join “Social Network” star Jesse Eisenberg, who will serve as host, for the show’s January 29 broadcast. THR also reported that Linkin Park will perform during the February 5 episode, which is set to feature hosting duties from former “SNL” castmember Dana Carvey. Known for her out-of-the-box fashion and manic rhymes, Minaj will likely perform her new single, “Moment 4 Life,” featuring Drake, as she brought the tune to her appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” earlier this week. Eisenberg’s and Minaj’s upcoming appearance marks the first time for both on the sketch show. “SNL” isn’t the only treat Minaj has up her sleeve for her fans. Minaj recently teamed up with Rihanna to shoot the music video for another one of the MC’s new singles, “Fly.” When E! News asked about the concept for the upcoming clip, Nicki remained tight-lipped, saying, “We’re going to save the world in more ways than one with the video, and that’s all I can say about that.” However, it was the duo’s TwitPics that sent the Internet ablaze when rumors circulated that Nicki and Rihanna were living together . The MC took to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show to clear the air. “I don’t know where people got this really insane, hilarious, random rumor that she and I were living together,” she said. “We just shot the video for a song I have on the album I have called ‘Fly,’ and when I saw her, the first thing I said was, ‘So, did you hear we’re living together?’ and we just started cracking up laughing. She was like, ‘Yo, I can’t believe that people are, like, this ridiculous. So we Twit-Pic’d ourselves, and she put it on Twitter and said ‘Me and Nicki at our new pad’ or something.” Are you excited for Nicki’s “SNL” debut? Tell us what you think! Guess Which Billionaire Is Moving Into This Super Normal Crib

The 20-something billionaire who lives here could buy and sell all of our houses/apartment complexes/mama’s couches at least a dozen times over without batting an eyelash. His father probably couldn’t. Can you guess who’s crib this is? According to TMZ , Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg will be calling this not-so-tiny house home for a little while. Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and “Social Network” fame has made a big move — into a 3,800 square foot rental in Palo Alto, CA. Zuckerberg, whose estimated worth is $7 billion, now has to walk just a few blocks to work. The house has five bedrooms and four bathrooms, in case Sean Parker comes to visit. The home also has a tricked out security system. Nice to see a 26-year-old who knows how to manage his money. Wait. Why doesn’t Facebook guy OWN a house?!?!

Paris Hilton Reveals The ‘Real Me’ In ‘The World According To Paris’

‘I’m really letting cameras into my real life, and it’s just an all-access pass into what goes on,’ starlet says. By James Dinh Paris Hilton Photo: Newscom Back in 2003, Paris Hilton’s already controversial fame was propelled to new heights when her fish-out-of-water reality series “The Simple Life” debuted. Alongside former BFF Nicole Richie, the socialites faced the realities of the average middle-class citizen. And come this spring, the hotel heiress will return to your television screens in a new light. The blond starlet gave “Entertainment Tonight” the scoop on her upcoming Oxygen show called “The World According to Paris,” which Hilton says will portray her true self. “When I did ‘The Simple Life,’ I was playing a character that I created and I had no idea it would last so many seasons,” Paris told “ET.” “So I had to continue doing that character, so I think people assume that’s really how I am. But when they see this new show, they’re going to see the real me.” Despite her previous television persona, the socialite had a blast working on the comedy show, saying, “I had such a great time doing ‘The Simple Life’ so it’s so much fun to still be doing it with “The World According to Paris. It’s a show like I’ve never done before. I’m really letting cameras into my real life, and it’s just an all-access pass into what goes on.” What would a reality show be without a little juice? Paris says that the camera crew followed her every move, including her interaction with boyfriend Cy Waits. “He’s very shy, so this is all very new to him, but he loves me so much and supports me,” she said of the Vegas nightclub owner. Waits joins Paris’ mom, Kathy Hilton, and Charlie Sheen’s estranged wife Brooke Mueller as the co-starring cast. Hilton isn’t the only starlet to ink an Oxygen reality show. Aubrey O’Day is set on making a comeback with the premiere of her own series, “All About Aubrey,” which premieres on March 7. Golden Globes Preview: Kings Vs. Geeks, Charlie Sheen And Sea Bass

Get the inside scoop on the Best Picture horse race, host Ricky Gervais and more before Sunday’s show, which airs live at 8 p.m. ET. By Eric Ditzian Justin Timberlake and Jesse Eisenberg in “The Social Network” Photo: Sony Pictures On Sunday evening, Hollywood will gather for the 68th Golden Globe Awards , an annual shindig at which celebs in attendance are at least as interested in re-filling their wine glasses as they are in watching to see who wins. Emceeing the shenanigans once again will be Ricky Gervais , who last year guzzled beer onstage, hilariously eviscerated Mel Gibson and generally won rave reviews for his keep-the-show-rolling comedic talents. Gervais will have a new crop of Hollywood royalty to dis this year. Thus far, the 2011 awards season has been shaping up to be a two-horse race between “The Social Network” and “The King’s Speech” for top prize. But it’s anybody’s guess which film will triumph at night’s end in the Best Motion Picture – Drama category; even ear-to-the-ground prognosticators are split on the outcome. Other categories are more clear-cut. You can take it to the bank now: David Fincher will nab Best Director for “Social Network,” “The Kids Are All Right” will take home Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical and Colin Firth will triumph as best dramatic actor for “King’s Speech.” Oh, and if Natalie Portman doesn’t win best dramatic actress for “Black Swan,” it’s a sure sign of the apocalypse. The Globes air live on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, and as always, MTV News will be reporting from the red carpet and post-Globe parties, so be sure to check out MTV.com for all of the latest awards-show developments. Also keep an eye out for our interviews with the night’s winners and losers. For added enjoyment, play a game of “Spot the Drunken Celeb.” The 1,300 guests will be sitting around tables, knocking back the booze and, if they’re smart, filling their bellies with food too. On this year’s menu is an appetizer of grilled eggplant and marinated artichoke, topped with a blend of edamame and red pepper hummus. The entr

DVD: Actors Love David Fincher’s Penchant for Multiple Takes, Says the Social Network Making-Of

David Fincher’s let’s-try-it-again method of shooting, whereby each take is done dozens, if not hundreds, of times, has gotten some mixed reviews from veterans of his films, most notably Jake Gyllenhaal . But the young up-and-comers who starred in The Social Network just love, love, loved it, if the making-of documentary, “How Did They Ever Make a Movie of Facebook?” — featured on the new DVD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment — is to be believed.
