Celebrity Cribs: Take A Look Inside NFL Legend Jerry Rice’s $10.5 Million, 6-Bedroom, California Mansion [Photos]

Must be nice… A Gallery Of Photos Of Jerry Rice’s California Home Via Realtor San Francisco 49ers great Jerry Rice has re-listed his Hall of Fame home in Atherton, CA. The prolific wide receiver, considered by many to be the greatest NFL player of all-time, has had the 13,908-square-foot estate on and off the market since mid-2009 and now asks $10.5 million for the luxe property. Built in 2001 by Lencioni Construction, the three-story French chateau-style design features a total of six bedroom suites, seven full baths and three half baths, and a wealth of modern conveniences befitting a perennial All-Pro. Of its amenities (which range from a state-of-the-art movie theater to a game room to a full bar and wine room) nothing stands out more than Rice’s personal training facility. Those who followed the more intimate details of Rice’s career are well aware of the wideout’s epic conditioning program, a training regimen that included daily runs up the Bay Area trail gauntlet known simply as ‘The Hill’. So it comes as no surprise to learn that the Niners great’s home gym comes fully stocked with over $500,000 worth of weights and training equipment, a sauna, and a steam room complete with cold-plunge. “That has been the most important part of the house for me,” Jerry told Haute Living in a 2001 interview. “If I’m up late and can’t sleep, I can just trot downstairs for a workout and then relax in the sauna or rejuvenate with the cold plunge. I love it for privacy reasons, too. I love being able to get into my workout without having to consider the social aspects of going out to a gym.” Rounding out Rice’s grand, 1.2-acre abode are such backyard luxuries as a pool, spa, covered veranda with a stone fireplace, a dog kennel, and, finally, an additional guest quarters with a kitchenette and full bath. Quote Of The Day: Kyle Richards Speaks On Reality TV Curse, “If You Have Cracks In Your Marriage, Don’t Do One”

We love “Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards’ matrimony-dom advice ! Via People : Most of Kyle Richards’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costars don’t have a good track record when it comes to keeping their marriages intact while on the show – but Richards is certain her relationship with hubby Mauricio Umansky will not crumble in front of cameras. “I am like a lion with my family, my cubs,” Richards, 43, told PEOPLE at Thursday’s grand opening of her Kyle by Alene Too boutique in Beverly Hills. “I’m very, very, very protective. If I ever felt like something was being affected in any way by the show, I would just walk away in a millisecond,” she says. Adrienne Maloof is the latest cast member who Richards has watched go through a split. The reality star’s husband, Dr. Paul Nassif, filed to end their marriage on Aug. 28. “She’s doing as well as can be expected,” Richards says about her pal. “I think they’re both having a hard time. I think any time someone gets divorced, it’s sad – especially for the kids. I think a lot of people liked [watching their bickering on TV] and thought it was cute, but obviously there was more going on behind closed doors than we realized.” Based on her own experiences and what she’s witnessed within her social circle, Richards says, “My suggestion to anybody who [wants to do] a reality show, if you have cracks in your marriage, don’t do one of these. You have to be really, really solid in order to do a reality show like this. I feel solid.” Although her marriage isn’t a source of drama, the new store owner admits she’ll have her own share of issues play out when season 3 of Bravo’s hit series premieres on Nov. 5. “Some days I’m excited [about the new season], Richards explains. “Some days I’m scared. I’m telling you, wherever we go, problems seem to follow.” We agree with Kyle. What is the value of making reality tv cash if it costs you your family? Image via Bravo

Biden’s Got Jokes: What Did You think Of The VP Debates??

Dayum…Joe knocked Lyan out tonight! We’re glad to see the energy from VP Joe Biden tonight, especially after Barack gave us a half-azzed performance at last weeks debate. According to The Huffington Post : One of the most notable parts of the first presidential debate was what wasn’t mentioned: Mitt Romney’s now-famous remarks saying that 47 percent of the American public is “dependent on government.” Both Republicans and Democrats seemed surprised that moderator Jim Lehrer never asked about it, and President Barack Obama never took the chance to proactively mention it — even though his campaign had been hammering Romney about it all week. But Vice President Biden brought it up within the first half-hour of the vice president debate on Thursday, also mentioning Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) remark that 30 percent of Americans want the “welfare state.” Noting that Romney opposed the auto bailout — which both the George W. Bush and Obama administrations supported — Biden said Americans should not be surprised by Romney’s economic policies. “It shouldn’t be surprising for a guy who says 47 percent of the American people are unwilling to take responsibility of their own lives,” said Biden. “My friend [Ryan] recently said in a speech in Washington said 30 percent of the American people are takers. These people are my mom and dad, the people I grew up with, my neighbors. They pay more effective tax than Gov. Romney pays in his federal income tax. They are elderly people who in fact are living off of Social Security. They are veterans who are fighting in Afghanistan right now who are not quote, not paying taxes.” Biden also invoked Grover Norquist, the conservative president of Americans for Tax Reform, criticizing Republicans for consistently signing his pledge vowing not to raise taxes. “Instead of signing pledges by Grover Norquist not to ask the wealthiest among us to contribute to bring back the middle class, they should be signing a pledge saying to the middle class, ‘We’re going to level the playing field. We’re going to give you a fair shot again. We are going to not repeat the mistakes we made in the past by having a different set of rules for Wall Street and Main Street.’” If Obama had been this strong, we would have won this election already! Let’s hope that he has the same energy Biden brought tonight at the next debate! Images via WENN/facebook

New Facebook Commercial: LOL WUT?

Facebook has released a new commercial, and it’s … interesting. Having just garnered its one billionth user – there are “only” 7,070,437,029 people on Earth – the social media behemoth is celebrating with this ad. Take a look: Facebook Ad Chairs, doorbells, bridges, airplanes . These are things that people use to get together and connect, Facebook tells us in the ad, titled “Things That Connect Us.” Or allow us to talk about how CRUNK u got last nite! Werd . The idea Mark Zuckerberg stole from the Winklevii and turned into a transformative network has become part of the fabric of 21st Century life. Point taken. The point of this ad? A little less clear. Is it that we should use Facebook more? That we should no longer use chairs, doorbells, bridges or airplanes? We honestly have no idea. The ad and the milestone come as Facebook continues to face pressure from Wall Street and the public about its disappointing IPO (Zuck’s adjective). When the company first sold stock on May 18, it offered a price of $38 per share, but the stock quickly fell by about half. Yesterday, it closed at $21.83. Be glad Mark and all his buddies took all the shares and largely shut small time investors out of the company. Blessing in disguise, people.

Fifty Shades of Grey Author Hints At Cameo; Stays Silent On Leads

Her novels have sold 40 million copies worldwide and the pending film version of the trilogy’s first installment has fans guessing worldwide who will play the male lead with nearly every hot young actor in Hollywood a possible contender. So what is a wildly successful author to do as an encore? Well, be in the movie of course! British author E.L. James, the mind behind the ever-so-hot Fifty Shades of Grey series said on the Katie Couric daytime talk show that she is eyeing a possible cameo in the big-screen adaptation of the novel, revealing that one of the smaller characters in the book is actually based on herself. Speculation persisted all summer who would play the irresistible young business magnate Christian Grey and the guessing game flared up again recently between the possibilities of Alexander Skarsgård vs. Ryan Gosling at the recent Toronto International Film Festival (http://movieline.com/2012/09/17/ryan-gosling-alexander-skarsgard-fifty-shades-of-grey/). James remained silent on who she expects to take on the lead roles, though she has several in mind, but that was the extent of her reveal: “I have three people who could play Christian and I think four who could play Ana, and I’m not going to tell you any of them,” she is quoted saying on the show via The Guardian . She did, however, say that she appears in the book and may pursue being cast in the minor role as a cameo. “I’ve actually written myself into the book. I play a very tiny cameo role and I might try and do that if I’m asked to … we’ll see,” she said, adding, “It’d be interesting to know if people can find me in the books.” Set mostly in Seattle, Fifty Shades of Grey revolves around a virgin college senior who is swept up by a the dashing Christian Grey into an erotic frenzy. No telling how palatable the book’s sexual scenes involving bondage and sadism/masochism will be for producers. Universal optioned the novel for $5 million in March and it will be overseen by the producers of The Social Network , Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti. [ Source: BBC ]
