Christina Aguilera to Guest Star on Nashville

Christina Aguilera is headed to Nashville. Per People, the singer and The Voice judge has signed on for a recurring role on the ABC drama. She will come on board as Jade St. John (what a name!), a major pop superstar who has been working very hard in the music game for over a decade. Look for the character to arrive in Tennessee for a two-night stand at the Bridgestone, yet for her real dream to be the recording of a country album… if only her label would let her expand beyond the genre of pop. So it’s sort of like Taylor Swift , but in reverse. Aguilera will debut some time this spring and appear on multiple episodes of Nashville Season 3 . Dascha Polanco: Orange is the New Black Actress Criticized For Exchanging Her Cats for Kittens

In case you don’t recognize the name (And why would you?) Dascha Polanco is the actress who plays Dayanara Diaz on Orange is the New Black. The role was obviously her big break, but if the details of a story that recently leaked online turn out to be true, Polanco could soon be better known for her questionable treatment of pets than for her acting. Dascha stands accused of dumping her two healthy, well-behaved cats off at a shelter so that she could adopt two kittens. To make matters worse, witnesses say Dascha’s cats were dropped off in a beaten-up cardboard box with air holes poked in the side.  The actress had reportedly not called in advance to see if the shelter was accepting new animals and when a clerk told her they were unable to accommodate her cats, Dascha lost it and screamed, “Don’t you know who I am?” The shelter eventually accepted the cats, and shortly thereafter, Dascha began posting photos of two very young kittens on her social media accounts. Polanco has reportedly been added to the national DNA (do not adopt) list that’s circulated among shelters to identify irresponsible pet owners. Celebrities mistreating pets is nothing new, but the callous, public nature of Polanco’s behavior makes it unique…as does the indignant response that she posted on Facebook: “I walk with my head high and I’m nauseated by the ppl that bully and choose to express such hurtful words. So much progress to be done. #IEatBullies” So it looks like in addition to the “Don’t you know who I am?” card, Dascha is a fan of playing the “BULLYING!” card whenever she’s the subject of criticism. Via Inquisitr reports Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore is struggling to clear the air after an attempt to shade actress Lupita Nyong’o went horribly wrong. As recently reported by the Inquisitr, Kenya Moore was reportedly not happy when the Academy Award-winning starlet refused to take pictures. Kenya even took to her Twitter account to call Lupita out for her alleged behavior. Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore is struggling to clear the air after an attempt to shade actress Lupita Nyong’o went horribly wrong. As recently reported by the Inquisitr, Kenya Moore was reportedly not happy when the Academy Award-winning starlet refused to take pictures. Kenya even took to her Twitter account to call Lupita out for her alleged behavior. When one of Moore’s followers asked her if she was shading Nyong’o, she had this to say about the encounter. In retrospect, there is nothing in those tweets that directly imply that it was Kenya Moore herself with whom Lupita Nyong’o refused to be photographed. Those initial tweets by Moore certainly seemed to imply to the public that she was personally snubbed. However, it is now painfully clear that if Kenya Moore was hoping to benefit from this alleged diss, her plan backfired to an embarrassing degree. Much of the backlash over this incident has hit Kenya herself. The consensus seemed to be that the actress had every right to not be photographed with Kenya. There were even those who cheered Lupita for refusing to have her picture taken with the offended reality tv starlet. Kenya seems to have realized that she is looking none too good because now her story has changed. Or rather, Moore is working to clarify why she was upset with Nyong’o. Unfortunately for Kenya Moore, this may be a “too little, too late” situation. Although reports of the social media comment are circulating, it seems to have done little to alleviate the backlash. Some are wondering why Kenya Moore waited until after all of the negative commentaries to attempt to make the public understand what actually happened with Lupita Nyong’o.
