There’s no mystery as to why Scandal is one of the most popular series on television. There are few things Americans love more than a tabloid-friendly PR disaster. Even when the details of the scandal are horrific in nature (See the top three stories on this year’s list.), there’s a pleasure in seeing justice done, particularly when those responsible for the wrongdoing are in a position of power. 15 Celebrity Scandals That Rocked 2014 1. We imagine the Bill Cosbys – and even the Mama Junes – of the world believed that they were impervious to consequences. Thus, finding out that they’re not immune to a downfall appeals to our sense of fairness. Of course, despite the shocking stories told by Cosby’s accusers and June Shannon’s obvious disregard for the safety of her children, the worst either had to contend with is the loss of employment, but it’s still enough to give one faith in the power of an outraged public. But while shocking tales of children at risk and sexual misconduct dominated the headlines, some of the most memorable scandals of the year were pure, (relatively) harmless Hollywood sideshow stuff: Is Bruce Jenner getting a sex change ? Solange Appears To Have An Allergic Reaction Following Wedding Reception Bey’s baby sis had an amazing wedding and second line parade and reception but somewhere along the way she must’ve been exposed with something that caused an allergic reaction. The newlywed bride was photographed with a face full of hives while leaving her reception with sister Beyonce and brother-in-law Jay-Z. As you can see here her face was fine during and after the wedding so it wasn’t matrimony-dom jitters that caused the problem. Fortunately big sis Bey had her back, and covered her up to keep the paps from getting more shots. Attendees included Jay-Z, Tina Knowles and Beyonce , the latter two of whom were included in Solange’s wedding party and posed with the bride for a stunning Vogue photo we’ve posted here: According to various news outlets, the couple rode white bicycles to their wedding venue at Holy Trinity Church in the Bywater area of New Orleans, with numerous residents congratulating them along the way. Over the summer, Solange gushed about her impending wedding location via an Instagram post. “Thank you nola for giving me so many wonderful, rich, and endless days of joy,” she wrote. “For giving my son one of the best summer experiences. For the night I danced until 8 am in a place filled with nothing but love. I fall in love with you more and more every day. You are magic. Solange Knowles is set to marry her longtime boyfriend Alan Ferguson in New Orleans this weekend, sources exclusively confirm to Us Weekly. The 28-year-old DJ has kept her wedding and even her engagement to the video director a total secret. The nuptials will take place in near the home the “Losing You” singer shares with her 10-year-old son Julez in New Orleans. Though much of the details of the event are being kept under wraps, Us Weekly has learned the weekend’s schedule. On Friday, Nov. 14, the group will enjoy a movie night together before Saturday’s rehearsal dinner. Then on Sunday, Nov. 16, Knowles and Ferguson will make it official in front of friends and family. Similarly, Beyonce married Jay Z in April 2008 in a secret ceremony. This will be the second wedding for the diva’s younger sister, who wed Julez’s father Daniel Smith in February 2004 when she was 17 and he was 19. In a 2007 interview with Essence, she confirmed that she had divorced Smith. Solange continues to co-parent her little boy with her ex. Beyonce and Solange’s father, Matthew Knowles is being sued by a woman named TaQoya Branscomb, who alleges that the former Destiny’s Child manager is the father of her 4-year-old child. (A figure that was drastically reduced after an irate Beyonce fired him and his income diminished.) What is surprising about 63-year-old Matthew’s second possible baby mama is that he reportedly met the woman through his daughter Solange – who was at the time one of TaQoya’s best friends. Solange, of course, was unaware that her friend was having sex with her father. The youngest Knowles girl has yet to speak publicly about the scandal, but knowing what we know about Solange’s fighting skills , we’d recommend that Matthew keep his distance from Bey’s little sis for a while.
