Someone We Actually Like: Principal Himming Up Jr High Student For Taking Nasty Pictures Then Pushing Him! [Video]

His community likes him… and so do we: CHERRY BROOK, N.S. — A skirmish between a junior high school principal and one of his students is yet again playing out publicly after footage of the incident was posted online. Ken Fells, a 15-year employee of the Halifax Regional School Board, was removed from his post at Graham Creighton junior high school in Cherry Brook, N.S., after an altercation with a student on March 3. The young male student allegedly took “inappropriate” photos of a female student on his cellphone, then refused to turn it over to teachers. When Fells was called over, the student again refused to comply and attempted to take off down the hall, causing the principal to forcibly stop him. Residents in the tiny Nova Scotia community, located just northeast of Halifax, had rallied around Fells when news of the incident leaked out. The minute-long video — footage from the school’s surveillance camera — was posted Friday on YouTube by a regional magazine. The school board had reportedly refused to release the footage previously. It shows Fells blocking the student with his arm at the side of the hallway — with the student reacting by pushing back. The student then falls to the ground and Fells grabs him in a bearlike hug from behind, dragging him with some effort down the hall to the office. A large group of students gather around the scene, with another boy at one point trying to intervene. The school board has remained mum on Fells’ case and the incident, calling it a “personnel matter,” but details have trickled out through parents and students. Last week, the board voted to shuffle the veteran educator out of that role, but did not fire him. The RCMP has previously said it will not lay any charges.

Bron Bron Goes Ham Last Night Against The Orlando Magic, Puts Up Fiddy-One On That Azz!!

Say what you want to about Lebron and his “decision” but when he gets it goin’ there’s not a lot anybody can do to stop him. ORLANDO, Fla. — In the days leading up to Miami’s third matchup of the season with Southeast Division-rival Orlando, LeBron James stressed that even at barely the midpoint of the season there was high importance for Thursday night’s game. And James played like it, pouring in 51 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists — including a 23-point first quarter — to lead Miami to a 104-100 victory. It was a season high for James, whose scoring effort tied for the fifth most points of his career. Dwyane Wade added 15 points and Chris Bosh 13. The victory was the Heat’s fourth straight. The Magic lost for the fourth time in their last six and fell behind 2-1 in the season series with Miami. “Just playing this team got me going,” said James, who hit his first 11 shots of the night. “We understand that it wasn’t just any regular-season game. There were a lot of things said about us in the offseason that came from this organization. So we just wanted to come in here and play to our abilities and make a statement.” It was definitely an impressive effort, but near the end of the game Miami lost focus and let the Magic back into it. The Heat are gonna have to tighten up in the 4th quarter if they plan on going deep into the playoffs. Source

Sanaa Lathan Lands A New Gig In An Off Broadway Play

One of our favorite actresses is taking a break from her voice-over gig on The Cleveland Show to hit the stage and get her thespian on. NEW YORK (AP) — Sanaa Lathan will star in the world premiere of Lynn Nottage’s new play, “Meet Vera Stark.” Lathan, who earned a Tony nomination for “A Raisin in the Sun,” which also starred Sean “Diddy” Combs, will play the title character, a headstrong African-American maid and budding actress. Nottage, who won a Pulitzer Prize for her play “Ruined,” draws on the screwball films of the 1930s to take an irreverent look at racial stereotypes in Hollywood. The production will begin previews April 6 and open May 9 at Second Stage Theatre. Lathan recently starred in the London revival of “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.” She played Isabella in “Measure for Measure” opposite Billy Crudup at The Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park. This is cool, but we wanna see Sanaa back on the big screen, preferably in something sexy…or nothing at all *crosses fingers* Source

An Injured Venus Williams Thugs It Out And Gets A Big Win The Australian Open

After an injury that left Venus Williams screaming in pain, she was able to compose herself and defeat Sandra Zahlavova 6-7 (6), 6-0, 6-4 yesterday in her 2nd round match of the Australian Open. “It was just a battle today,” said Williams, who screamed after the initial injury. “I had to just calm myself down. In the middle of a match like that, you can get a little hysterical.” The injury took the attention, at least for a while, off her revealing lattice-style top and multicolored satin skirt that barely concealed her self-described flesh-colored “nude shorts.” The seven-time Grand Slam winner has never retired from a singles match in a major, and wasn’t about to start at Melbourne Park. The aim, she said, was to get off court, calm herself down “and come out and try to rip some winners.” And although she was clearly hobbling, she was able to hit plenty of winners from the baseline, relying on her powerful ground strokes to keep rallies short. “I guess if I got to the point where I just couldn’t move at all, I guess I would have had to retire,” she said. “I haven’t retired from a match in a long, long time. I just go to the bitter end. It was bitter today, but it just didn’t end.” What did you expect?? Those Williams girls are from Compton, ain’t no punking out in Compton. We see your gangsta Venus, play on playa… Source

L-Boogie Rocks Brooklyn Last Night…And Her Performances Seem To Be Improving [Video]

Her show is getting better, but she still looks crazy as f*ck…we’ll take it how we can get it though. L Boogie is about to embark on her tour next week, but beforehand, she set the tone last night and performed at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, with Prince and Janelle Monae in attendance. We wish Prince would have hopped on the mic for a tune or two, we would have paid BIG money for that kind of show Source

For The Fellas: Nicki Minaj Breaks Down What Kind Of Man Gets To Play In Her “Pink Friday”

Since her arrival on the rap scene there has been a lot of speculation as to whether or not Onika is chasing the cat, but in the new issue of King Magazine, she breaks down what she needs in a MAN! “I look for someone who is calm, someone who is strong enough to not have to win every argument, someone who allows a woman to be her crazy self and someone with a conscience not to feel like less of a man,” she told the mag. “You know, someone who is able to honor his woman but also bring out the freak in his woman.” When pressed exactly what that meant, she said slyly “Just being super aggressive when the time is right.” Barbz also goes on to speak about her future beyond spittin’ hot bars of fury. “I’d like to play someone in a Tim Burton movie,” she said. “Where I get dressed up and painted kind of crazy.” After that, she said, she’d love to play a character like Angelina Jolie’s in “Salt”. “And then I’d like to play a regular girl who, you know, is facing the world,” she said. “Something really sentimental and organic, that girls all around the world can identify with.” Looks like this chic’s got a good head on her shoulders (bada-bing!), if she can get a good role in a Tim Burton flick that would definitely take her to a WHOLE ‘nother level. Good luck Nicki, we see you grindin’! Source
