50 Cent Says Rick Ross Rivalry Is Battle, Not Beef

Despite his 2009 rivalry with Rick Ross , 50 said he doesn’t feel the two have a beef. After Rozay suffered two separate seizures in October, Fif responded via Twitter when a fan asked him, “Any words for Rick Ross?” “Yeah he gotta take care of his self,” the G-Unit rapper commented, later writing , “I don’t wish DEATH on him my grand father had a seizure.” At an October book signing for his new anti-bullying book, “Playground,” in New York, 50 told MTV News, “You shouldn’t wish that on anyone.” 50 said he believes Ross started the feud to raise his own rap profile: “He says it started because I looked at him the wrong way,” Fif recalled of an incident on the red carpet for the 2009 BET Awards. “That just means he wanted to compete, he wanted to move up, he wanted to create an awareness for himself, and he did it.” While the two did trade insults, specifically on Rozay’s “Mafia Music” and Fif’s “Officer Ricky,” the G-Unit general said he didn’t take the barbs personally, and in his mind, the two had a battle — not a beef. “This is why they changed the terminology from ‘battling’ to ‘beefing.’ It was always that battling was a part of the culture; they didn’t do that until Tupac and Biggie Smalls’ situation,” he said. “That’s when it became taboo to actually mention an artist’s name.” On November 1, Ross appeared on BET’s “106 & Park” and addressed 50’s tweets: “If it was genuine, I appreciate it, and if that’s the case, I thank you homey.” Did 50 Cent and Rick Ross have a battle or a beef? Sister Wives Recap: So Much Jealousy!

“Sometimes, I don’t like this.” Pretty much. Being married to one woman is hard enough. Imagine four! Or think about sharing your husband with three other women. Not what we signed up for … Only for Kody Brown and his quartet of spouses, they did sign up for it. This is what they do, and like all of us, their lives feature drama and tension beneath the surface. Unlike all of us, there’s a TLC show devoted to the Browns … So what went down last night? While Kody was excited to announce the sex of Robyn’s baby, he reflected on the problems he faced with his first three marriages. Marriages that are still going on, of course. Christine, with whom he’s currently having serious marital discord, expressed frustration with the family’s new Las Vegas living situation. It’s been an adjustment. She is lonely. She feels Kody coddles Robyn, although she adores Kody and Robyn. It’s just that he leaves for four days at a time, and frankly that blows (our words). The Brown Bomber muses that “jealousy creeps in when one wife says in her mind ‘he loves her more than me.'” Dude, when ya got four of ’em, that’s inevitable. In spite of all that, Kody is quick to note that “I’ve loved [Christine] all my life.” Ditto first wife Meri, whom he calls his “soul mate,” and who’s in it for the long haul. With Janelle, Kody says their strongest bond is their kids. Speaking of, Robyn’s unborn child, the family’s 17th in all, is totes going to be a … boy baby! NICE! When Robyn told the doctor that Kody had four wives and 17 kids , his reaction was just priceless, even though he had to know it was coming, being filmed and all. His take? “That’s, I guess, cool.” I guess . Gotta love Nevada, where people could pretty much not give a bleep as long as you’re otherwise law-abiding. And paying. That brings us to Kody’s other goal, besides marital stability. Dude isn’t made of money, and that is a lot of mouths to feed. So how will he accomplish that task? By going into business with all four of his wives. Somehow. His initial idea is a family food franchise that is health oriented. The wives? Less than enthusiastic. TMZ got the lowdown from the pop sensation on his new look. Photos of the cropped cut — courtesy of his hair stylist, Vanessa — appeared on the website Monday. In one photo, Bieber is with Gary LeVox, lead singer of Rascal Flatts, on the set of the video for their duet, “That Should Be Me,” from Bieber’s Never Say Never – The Remixes . Biebs explained that he “wanted to change it up” and that he thought the cut was “kind of a mature look.” He will turn 17 next month, so perhaps the new ‘do is a step in an older direction for the teen star. So, what will happen to the remains of his famous former swoop? Well, TMZ reports the clippings will be given to charity to raise money for various causes, including animal rights. In December, Bieber foreshadowed the perfect timing for a haircut, saying, “I think after my movie, I might cut my hair a little shorter.” It was a sentiment he first shared with Barbara Walters . Last year, Bieber’s pal and maybe girlfriend, Selena Gomez , admitted that she wanted to shear off his locks. “Everybody wants to cut his hair. I want to cut his hair!” she revealed in October. “You’re with him and you have, like, a 45-second conversation and it’s like, [he’s flicking his hair the entire time], and I’m like, ‘Why are you doing that?!’ ” What do you think of JB’s new ‘do? 50 Cent To Star In Crime Drama ‘Freelancers’

Flanigan/ FilmMagic Like many before him, 50 Cent is making the transition from hip-hop to Hollywood. The rapper, who has a finger in various projects — from his own film-production company, called Cheetah Vision Films, to distributing a line of earphones — has signed on for yet another movie role. According to Variety , Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson will star in an upcoming crime drama called “Freelancers,” in which he’ll play the son of a murdered New York City police officer who joins the force and finds himself “on a team of rogue Gotham cops.” The movie will reportedly be directed by Jessy Terrero (“Soul Plane”), who has previously worked with 50 on some of his most-memorable videos such as the MTV Video Music Award-nominated “Candy Shop.” The latest news is just another step in 50 Cent’s plan to move from music to movies. Making his big-screen debut in 2005’s “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” the star shocked fans a few years later when he tweeted a picture of himself looking frighteningly thin in preparation for his role in his passion project “Things Fall Apart.” In fact, the 35-year-old seems to be continuing to take his craft very seriously. When MTV News caught up with him at this year’s Sundance Film Festival — which he attended alongside his friend, boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., to promote their newly launched film company, Mayweather Productions — 50 seemed as ambitious as ever. He not only said he feels as though he’s “growing” as an actor , but also that he hopes to have a career akin to trailblazing Oscar-winner Sidney Poitier . On Sunday night’s new episode of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” months after the cover hit stands, fans saw the reality starlet open up about the shoot — and she was not at all happy about it. “I was naked, but fully covered in silver paint,” she said in the episode about the Mark Seliger photos, according to the Hollywood Reporter . “This artist will put images of architecture and buildings and stuff on top of me so you will see my body shape and the outline, but not actually my boobs or anything.” Talking to her sister, Kim, in tears, added, “I’m more naked here than I was in my Playboy (in 2007). I’m so f—ing mad right now. … She promised I would be covered with artwork . … This is serious porn … you can see nipple.” She added that she was told “nothing would be seen. I feel so taken advantage of. I’ve definitely learned my lesson.” After seeing the photos, Kardashian made a pledge: “I’m never taking my clothes off again, even if it’s for Vogue .” For those who missed the episode, the reality starlet initially cries over the W mag cover before mom-ager Kris Jenner helps her conclude that she’s helping women and that the cover is artful. Despite her claims that she wouldn’t go nude again, even for Anna Wintour, she later jokes that she might — if Vogue calls. While she seemed very upset about the photos, when Kardashian chatted with Ryan Seacrest later on, it seemed that the shock had worn off. “At the end of the day, they are gorgeous photos, and I’m glad I did it, and I love them. By Jocelyn Vena Artwork for Katy Perry’s “E.T.” Photo: Capitol Records/ EMI As expected, Katy Perry is set to release the spacey dance track “E.T.” as her next Teenage Dream single. It follows in the footsteps of smashes like “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream” and “Firework.” Perry made the announcement on her Facebook page, releasing artwork for the single. In the black-and-white photograph, Perry sports blunt bangs, a heavy cat eye and a top that appears to be made of pleather and fish-scale sequins. “Here’s a sneak peek of the artwork for ‘E.T.,’ the next single off ‘Teenage Dream’!” the message says. “Stay tuned for a new music video and remixes coming soon.” While little else is known about the video, Perry has made it her mission to keep releasing memorable clips. “I’m looking forward to making music videos on this new album,” she said late last year about Teenage Dream . “There’s a story to the songs. … I’m really excited about … making those music videos that are going to be larger than life.” Perry has been playing “E.T.” live recently. On Tuesday night, we caught up with the stars of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” as they head into battle to see who will be the top drag queen of season three. Amid the glam and sequins in the air, competition was definitely on everyone’s mind, so what better time to find out who RuPaul’s drag queens predict will rule 2011: Lady Gaga or Britney Spears? “With Britney and Gaga coming out with new [albums] this year — it’s going to be Gaga,” Shangela, of season two, predicted. “Gaga runs the world, so Britney better take a seat and enjoy.” Tough words about a woman who has reached the #1 iTunes spot in 19 countries since her new single, “Hold it Against Me,” was released a little over a week ago. But if British singer/songwriter Jessie J has her way, Brit might be singing a different tune soon. Jessie J — who’s co-written songs for Miley Cyrus and Chris Brown — recently submitted a track for Spears’ forthcoming album , dropping in March, and she dished to MTV News about its sound. “I know with her new album, she’s been working with a lot of dubstep producers,” Jessie J said, referring to the dance-music influence already present in the album’s first single, “Hold It Against Me.” “I kind of didn’t want to do anything other than what I think Britney is, and to me Britney’s an icon. She’s one of those people that can do whatever she wants because she’s so iconic. There’s no one that does what she does like her, and that’s what I wanted to write about.” Describing the song’s lyrics as “very diva-ish” and “really hippy-like,” the “Do It Like a Dude” said that pop stars deserved to be as boastful as MCs. “You know how rappers get away so much?” she asked. “They can say so much about how cocky they are, and no one will bat an eyelid. Will Oprah OWN the Airwaves?

Sarah Palin fans may not tune in , but Oprah Winfrey takes the next significant step in her career on Saturday when she launches OWN. The self-titled cable network is expected to reach nearly 80 million homes and, according to the goddess herself, will connect “you to your best self and to the world.” Talk about a lofty goal! Oprah says she always knew she would be a “light carrier” and that her 25-year run as a talk show host would simply be a starting point for her “next thing.” She’ll appear on OWN for at least 70 hours/year, starting Saturday night with a behind-the-scenes special. Other programs will feature Oprah favorites such as Cristina Ferrare’s Big Bowl of Love , In the Bedroom with Dr. Laura Berman and The Gayle King Show . Says Winfrey: “I’m going to be there to get this network launched. I have a commitment to do a show on the channel for the next several years to try to get things off to as good a start as possible. But, if in 25 years, I’m sitting there on the air in my rocking chair, something went wrong.” Will you tune in to OWN?

Chris Brown Taunts Raz B in Scathing, Homophobic Twitter Feud

Chris Brown may want to put down the Blackberry. Dude is at it again with the anger issues, unloading on Raz B in an offensive Twitter feud. It all started, of course, comments about Rihanna. Brown got into it with the former member of the R&B group B2K after Raz Tweeted at Brown, “Im just sittin here Thinkin how can n**gas like [Eric Benet] and [Chris Brown] disrespect women as Intelligent as Halle Berry, Rihanna .” Brown promptly lashed back in homophobic fashion, writing, “n**ga you want attention! Grow up n**ga!!! Dick in da booty ass lil boy.” Chris is clearly referring to allegations Raz B had made a while back in which he claims he was molested by his band’s male manager. Brown felt the wrath, but continued razzing Raz, then tried to explain himself, writing “I’m not homophobic! He’s just disrespectful!!!” He denied a second time that he is homophobic and wrote, “i love all my gay fans and this immature act is not targeted at you!!!!” Read some of Chris’ controversial Twitter exchange after the jump … Whose side are you on?
