Sharpen those fans, HBO viewers: you’ll be taking another bite out of True Blood in the summer of 2014. The cable network today announced that it has renewed its long-running hit for another 10 episodes, with Programming President Michael Lombard saying in a statement: “True Blood remains a signature show for HBO, and a true phenomenon with our viewers. Thanks to Brian Buckner and his talented team, the show continues to be a thrill ride like nothing else on TV.”
A Sharknado seque l is one step closer to becoming a reality. With star Tara Reid already on board for a follow-up to last Thursday’s Syfy movie, screenwriter Thunder Levin now says he’d gladly pen another film in this suddenly popular franchise. “It was like going to see Snakes on a Plane opening night in the theater,” Levin told Mashable of the social media reaction. ” Twitter users were yelling at the screen, shouting out lines and throwing virtual popcorn. It was great fun.” According Syfy , Sharknado delivered nearly 5,000 tweets per minute, although its actual ratings weren’t especially impressive. “I measure success by whether the audience enjoyed it,” Levin said . “We’re just trying to create entertainment here, so if people are happy and if they’re having fun with it, then I’d say it’s a success.” As for the Sharknado sequel? I say this as a loving grandmother. I say this with love.” And certainly not with humor. Rivers then went after Angelina Jolie. “Not a bad word about that wonderful slut … we work together for the U.N. We do things for children. Chelone Miller, the brother of Olympic Gold Medal skiier Bode Miller, died on April 7 of a seizure. He was 29 years old. The sad news was announced today, as U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association President Bill Marolt confirmed the passing was a result of a motorcycle accident in 2005 that left Chelone in a coma for 11 days. “Chelone Miller was an aspiring elite athlete who had made great progress as a snowboardcross rider this past season,” Marolt said in a statement. “We are all deeply saddened at the news of his death and extend our condolences to the entire Miller family.” Miller had been focusing on snowboardcross in an effort to qualify for the 2014 Winter Olympics. Just last month he won the Rahlves Banzai Tour overall title with a victory in Sugar Bowl, California. Bode, meanwhile, was crowned the overall World Cup champion in 2005 and 2008 and earned a gold medal in the super combined at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Our thoughts go out to the Miller family.
Kim Kardashian is ready to take down Kris Humphries. With the divorce trial between these two idiots FINALLY set for May 6, TMZ has uncovered the list of witnesses Kim plans to call on her behalf. And each will testify, in what way or another, that Humphries was actively involved in the signing of the exact prenuptial agreement from which he’s now trying to extricate himself. Look for two managers, one attorney and a court reporter to all confirm that Kris was as interested in the business aspects of his marriage as the attention-starved pair of breasts he wed. They witnessed the two discuss and argue over various aspect of the prenup. Humphries, of course, has somehow contended that he was duped into a fraudulent union. Leaked documents do apparently prove that Kardashian faked many of the scenes from her reality show, asking Kris to propose a second time, for example, after she was dissatisfied with the first version. But no one can quite explain how this doesn’t simply prove Humphries was in on the farce all along.
LL Cool J is standing up for ” Accidental Racist .” The track – released today as part of Brad Paisley’s new albu – features the country singer crooning about life in the South, while the rapper jumps in about what it’s like to be African-American in society.
