AOL hired an army of underemployed music lovers to interview bands at South by Southwest. But the citizen journalists, paid $50 per story, are missing their deadlines, so AOL sent a panicked mass email (below). AOL’s Seed division is trying to interview every single one of the 2,000 bands performing at SXSW via its computer-dispatched army of freelancers. At a company where stories are routinely assigned based on internet statistics, that’s a refreshingly human assignment — “Almost Famous 2.0” is how Brian Ries summed things up in his Daily Beast article on Seed’s coverage of the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin . But humans have a way of gumming up the machine, and Seed editors have issued an “Urgent call for assignments,” shown below. “Urgent” indeed: AOL forgot to Bcc its contributors, exposing their emails, and also told people they could skip the pictures and bios. Singer Miley Cyrus has denied reports that she is now living with her new boyfriend Liam Hemsworth . Cyrus, 17, met Hemsworth on the set of their new movie, The Last Song , last year, and there were reports that they are now living together. However, she denied she is living with the Aussie actor. “No. How would anyone know who lives with me or not? No one’s ever been in my house, no one’s ever like… no creepers who write in magazines have ever seen my house, ever talked to my parents, ever, like, spoken with my friends. “So they have nothing better to do than make up stories. I think they should take their ideas and put them somewhere useful.” There’s a good joke in there about Miley being from the South but we’ll leave you to make it in the comments.

Tip collaborates with Usher on a new leaked record from Raymond v. Raymond called “Guilty,” where the singer is charged with breaking his girl’s heart. Tip did record another song with Usher last year before going to prison, but it sounds like the rhymes on “Guilty” were recorded recently — he name-checks a certain scandal-plagued athlete . “Right hand to the sky/ Strike me down if I a lie,” the King of the South proclaims. “If she sayin’ she’s the victim in this case then what am I/ She got proof, well I got alibis too/ I never been on bullsh– … she ain’t caught me on no Tiger Woods sh–/ Do what I expected when she met me/ Ballin’ against the law/ Shawty arrest me then.” Usher then pleads guilty. “I guess I’m guilty of always being in the club,” he sings. “I guess I’m guilty ’cause girls always wanna show me love/ I guess I’m guilty for living and having all of the fun/ Girl, I’m guilty for that/ Girl, I’m guilty.” Other recently leaked songs include “She Don’t Know” featuring Ludacris and “OMG” featuring Will.I.Am.
