Britney Spears turns 31 today. 31! If it seems like a lifetime ago that we first fell in love with her, that’s because it sort of was. If you recall Britney Spears circa 1998-2003, you know what we mean. In her 31 years, she’s been through almost that many scandals. She burst on the scene and became an all-time icon. She’s gone wild, then mellowed out. She’s been on top, hit rock bottom, then risen to the pop zenith once again. Through it all, she’s entertained, and she’s captured our hearts. From musical, fashion and celebrity gossip standpoints, there is only one Britney Spears, and we’re thrilled to wish the pride of Kentwood, La., the best today. Hopefully, fiance Jason Trawick and Britney are working through whatever rough patch they’re said to be in, and can enjoy this very special December 2. Anyway, I know Britney’s been having a comeback lately, but I think Jamie looks a bit better. She’s only 21 though, and she’s going to need a lot of work to stay youthful. She should start by learning from her sister’s mistakes, and stay away from all those drugs, alcohol, and kids. Britney Spears was smokin’ that Teena!?!? Former manager Sam Lufti claims the pop princess went the bald route to cover up her junkie ways… Via NY Post reports : Britney Spears didn’t shave her head in a fit of rage — she did it so there would be no way to trace her drug use, a lawyer for her former manager claimed in court. Joseph Schleimer opened Sam Lutfi’s libel case against Spears’ parents and conservators by showing dramatic photos of the pop superstar with a shaved head and striking an SUV with an umbrella. Schleimer suggested to the LA jury that Spears was afraid a judge would order a test of her hair. If drugs were found, the judge could take away her two sons and give custody to ex-husband Kevin Federline. Schleimer claimed Lutfi tried to save the meth-addled Spears from a mental breakdown but lost control — and was blamed for her being hospitalized and placed under a court-ordered conservator. During a break when the jury was not present, Superior Court Judge Suzanne Bruguera warned Schleimer that his bold claims had to be supported by evidence. Schleimer said he would prove them through either “testimony or documentary evidence.” He told the jury that one of the first things he did when he was hired as Spears’ manager was to have drug-sniffing dogs scour her hilltop home — and they found crystal meth in a trap door. Spears almost certainly won’t testify because she remains under a conservatorship overseen by a judge who has ordered her not to appear for trial or a deposition. But Spears’ parents, Jamie and Lynne, both sat in the audience. Yesterday, a lawyer for Jamie told jurors his client went to heroic lengths to save Britney from drug addiction and mental illness. Lutfi agreed to work for Spears in July 2007 for 15 percent of her earnings — but only if she stayed away from drugs, his lawyer said. The court case is the culmination of a long-running battle between Lutfi and Spears’ parents. He is seeking millions of dollars from Spears and her family, claiming her mother’s 2008 book, “Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World,” lied about him drugging and isolating the pop star. He is also seeking a portion of the singer’s profits, claiming he was a key player in her 2007 album “Blackout.” Yikes… But meth is such a trashy drug. Oh wait, this is Britney Spears we’re talking about right?
Britney Spears’ former “manager” Sam Lutfi is finally getting his day in court. In suing for defamation and money he feels he earned during their partnership – her dark period of 2007-08, not coincidentally, Lutfi is making some shocking allegations: Britney Spears: MTV VMAs 2007 Spears took a massive amount of amphetamines the night she was strapped to a gurney and placed on a 5150 hold, according to Sam Lutfi . On January 28, 2008, Britney had an amphetamine prescription filled; she took 6-8 pills early in the day, and several more later and went off the rails. Lutfi’s lawyer said he tried to get Britney to meet with a psychiatrist days before she was 5150’d, but she refused, despite having been a mess for months prior to that. She certainly was in the throes of a downward spiral throughout 2007. Speaking of … Sam claims he tried to talk Britney out of her disastrous performance at the MTV Awards in 2007 (above), because she was overweight and didn’t rehearse. Spears was so paranoid that her hair contained traces of the hardcore drugs she was using that Britney shaved her head to hide possible “evidence.” Britney was a serious crystal meth addict. Sam’s lawyer, Joseph Schleimer, had a field day yesterday, somehow claiming that his client repeatedly told Britney she needed to get off drugs, to no avail. Schleimer says Sam: Tried to enlist a whole team of people to help her. Brought in a drug-sniffing dog and found meth. Was attacked by Britney’s dad Jamie Spears. Introduced Britney to fiance Jason Trawick . As for Sam’s managerial role, Schleimer says Britney approached HIM and offered 15 percent of her earnings – $800,000 a month when she wasn’t on tour, way more when she was. Britney’s side has yet to respond to these allegations, most of which are patently false and the rest are legally flimsy at best. Good luck proving any of that. How can a hard ass drug addict be competent enough to sign or agree to any financial deal? Isn’t that just undermining your own case there Sam?

Like auntie, like niece! Jamie Lynn Spears posted a photo of her adorable daughter Maddie, 4, on Instagram for “Celebrity Day” at her school! Do you see the resemblance? Maddie chose to dress up as none other than her famous aunt Britney Spears … circa 1998 “Baby One More Time” video. Of course, the tot’s look was more demure and appropriate than the original, but she nailed the Catholic school girl look perfectly. “Celebrity Day” was part of the school’s Homecoming Week, Jamie Lynn explained. The former Nickelodeon star, Jamie Lynn, has opened up about how motherhood has bonded her with Britney.
Oops, Glee did it again. And it pissed Britney Spears off this time. The Fox musical aired its second tribute episode in honor of the pop icon last Thursday, but sources tell Access Hollywood that Spears felt anything but honored by how she was portrayed. On “Britney 2.0,” Heather Morris’ Brittany laments having to repeat her senior year and dons a costume similar to Britney’s in 2007 for a school assembly. It ends in disaster. Many have been miffed as to why Glee would bash Spears, who is now a fellow Fox employee on The X Factor and who actually appeared on a Season 2 episode. However, the episode in question did conclude on a positive note, with Morris’ character saying she wanted to be like Spears because “no matter what happened to her, she just came back stronger.”
Dr. Conrad Murray is writing a tell-all book. Hey, he has to pass the time wasting away in jail somehow. The number of publishers who care is not high, however. “Dr. Murray spends most of his days writing what he [says] is a tell-all book about what really happened in the final days of Michael Jackson’s life,” a source to him says. “Murray believes that the public will want to hear about the time he spent with Michael … he says that Michael confided his inner-most secrets about his true feelings.” “[MJ talked] about his family, the child molestation trial and his three children. Murray contends that Michael’s kids viewed him as a family member and loved him.” True or not, it all boils down to Murray’s boredom. And cash flow problems. “This is all about money for Murray though … he is flat broke and desperately needs the cash ,” the source adds. “He feels that the book could help rehab his image.” Jackson’s former physician was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of the music great and was sentenced to four years in jail. Attempts to portray himself as a sympathetic figure would be hard enough, but add in the fact that Murray has shown no remorse and it’s darn near impossible. Dude even ripped Katherine Jackson , Michael’s mother, for not being there for him. ” Conrad Murray is extremely arrogant and doesn’t accept responsibility for the death of Michael Jackson. He truly believes he has done nothing wrong,” the insider says. As a result, when contacted by reps about potential interest in releasing the book by Murray, publishers’ collective response so far has been, “no thanks.” Let’s all cry a river for that, shall we?

In summation, Britney Spears freaked out during a thunderstorm. It takes a lot to rattle Britney … okay, not really. Reports are swirling that Amanda Bynes will soon be checking into rehab, but the former child star insists that she’s no Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears. Bynes tells friends that she definitely does not need a conservatorship the way Spears did in 2008, when her yearlong meltdown reached its lowest point. She feels that despite her bizarre behavior of late, she can take care of herself. Bynes also swears she isn’t crazy . When you have to point that out … Bynes’ recent woes have drawn comparisons to Britney … circa 2007-08 . The star insists that the main reason her family has never brought up the conservatorship option is because she doesn’t have mental problems, period. Amanda’s uncle Ronald Bynes reportedly spoke to Celebuzz and floated the idea that like Britney Spears , she needs legal, financial and medical guardianship. “She needs to stop drinking and driving,” Ronald told the site. “She needs help. (Her father) doesn’t want to talk about her and often changes the subject.” “The problem is no correspondence (between Amanda and her parents) about any of this … I don’t even think they know what’s going on with her.” “They’re very upset about her recent problems, but they’re in the dark.” A source tells E! that despite reports, Bynes has not checked into rehab, nor does she plan to.
