Khloe Kardashian Sued For Assault

Transgender woman Chantal Spears claims Kardashian assaulted her outside a Hollywood nightclub in 2009. By Jocelyn Vena Khloe Kardashian Photo: Getty Images Khloe Kardashian may be in some legal trouble. The reality star is reportedly being sued for assault in connection with an alleged incident that took place in Hollywood in 2009. TMZ reported that Kardashian got into an argument with a transgender woman named Chantal Spears (real name Ronald Spears) on December 5, 2009, at Playhouse nightclub. Spears claims that the reality star pushed and struck her “in and about her body,” leading to injuries. The website further reports that the altercation took place when Spears allegedly walked up to Khloe’s husband, Lamar Odom, and told him that he was “too young to be married.” In a video posted at the time of the incident, she told a cameraman for the website, “All I was telling Lamar Odom is maybe he is too young to get married, and all of a sudden I get this big push from this girl,” she explained. “She hit me. She pushed me and hit me. [Security] didn’t say nothing. It was her. She looked in my face. I tried to get her and she pushed me again.” Later Spears is seen holding up a police report and saying, “She’s in trouble. Yeah, [she’s going to court] because everyone seen her hit me first.” In her lawsuit, Spears says she didn’t provoke anyone and is seeking unspecified damages. A rep for Kardashian had not responded to MTV News’ request for comment by press time.

Farrah Abraham to Scott Disick: Racist!

Note to Farrah Abraham: stick to being a bad teen mom. Because you make a really awful Twitter combatant. Over the weekend, this MTV reality star randomly got into a war of online words with Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, taking the couple to task for having a second baby out of wedlock and comparing their situation to that of various single parents on Teen Mom … nevermind Kourtney and Scott’s age, stable relationship and financial well-being. Kourtney Kardashian Pregnant – The Pulse Now, in light of the backlash against her critique – seriously, Farrah, it takes A LOT to force people on to the side of the Kardashians. Well done! – Abraham has Tweeted a defense of her viewpoint, writing: 4 all who misunderstood: regards to kourtney K.~ I hope she takes her relationship w/her boyfriend more serious 4 their children-takecare. Okay. Whatever. Case closed, right? Not quite. Farrah then learned of Disick’s response to her initial set of insults, which included a reference to her as “some s-it stain,” and non-sensically added: caught wind of these dramatic articles, w/ loser scott disick or some boyfriend of kourtneys , is Sh-t Stain< racist 4 black? Great dad!NOT. We can at least say this: Abraham herself is an expert on NOT being a great parent: she left her child with her parents in Iowa in order to attend school in Florida; and she dumped her baby daddy prior to his death, only to then act on Teen Mom as if he'd been tragically taken from her. Moreover, if you hear the word "s-it" and you think of African-Americans... you're the one who is racist, Farrah. We hate to do it, readers, but we're obligated to ask: Which side are you on in this feud?

Britney Spears Performs Free Concert in Mexico City

Pop star Britney Spears gave a free outdoor concert Sunday in Mexico City. The singer’s Femme Fatale arrived South of the Border for a ticketed show at Foro Sol stadium Saturday night, then continued with a free concert at the Monument to the Revolution in the city center last night. The event drew an estimated 50,000 fans. Here’s a clip of Britney, who just turned 30 Friday, performing: Britney Spears Performs in Mexico Mexico City’s leftist leaders have made large-scale public parties a populist hallmark of governments in recent years, arguing that many residents of the city are unable to pay exorbitant ticket prices for concerts or for vacations outside the city. The capital sets up landlocked “beaches” featuring sand and pools during the warmer months, and an ice rink in the holiday season. Both initiatives have proved popular. It is unclear how they scored a name as big as Britney Spears to perform at such an event, or if any money was paid to the singer, but it was 100% free for the public.

Nicki Minaj A Not-So-New Best New Artist Nominee

J. Cole, Skrillex and Bon Iver have also been around for years before rookie Grammy nods. By Gil Kaufman Nicki Minaj Photo: Getty Images There are many reasons people love to bash the Grammys, but one of the most frequent punching bags is the Best New Artist category. Whether it goes to someone music fans have never heard of (2010’s Esperanza Spalding ), an act who’s been around forever (2001’s Shelby Lynne), or one that even at his or her peak seemed unworthy at best (notorious 1981 flash-in-the-pan Christopher Cross), Best New Artist is a perennial head-scratcher. By Recording Academy rules, the award is for a musician or band who releases an album during the year of eligibility that establishes their “public identity” as an artist. That doesn’t mean it’s their first album or that they suddenly appeared on the scene just that year, because, really, no act just materializes out of thin air and makes their way to the Grammys without years of unseen road, club and studio work. But a look at this year’s nominees is proof that in an age of mixtapes, YouTube, features and blog love such “new” acts as Bon Iver, Nicki Minaj, Skrillex and J. Cole are practically veterans by the time the Academy decides to shine its spotlight. In fact, of all this year’s nominees, only country trio the Band Perry are truly “new,” and they formed in 2005, then gigged around and dropped a few singles until their only full-length studio recording was released in late October of last year. Think Beyonc

By Vaughn Trudeau Schoonmaker Britney Spears Photo: Jive Over the course of two weeks, nearly one million votes cast in MTV News’ Britney Spears Tournament: 30 Videos for 30 Years , and on Friday (December 2) — which also happens to be the pop superstar’s 30 birthday — we reached our final tally. You, the fans, decided the crown for the Best Britney Video of All Time is goes to … “I’m A Slave 4 U”! Britney performed the song for the first time at the ’01 MTV Video Music Awards, using a jungle-themed set filled with exotic animals, including a tiger and a now-iconic white boa constrictor snake, which she wrapped around her shoulders. “Slave” defeated the Chris Marrs Piliero-directed runner-up “Criminal” by a wide margin, with nearly 69 percent of the vote. “Criminal,” Britney’s most recent video from this year’s Femme Fatale release, made its way to the top two by beating out some of Britney’s best-loved videos, from “Stronger” to “I Wanna Go” to (in a shocking defeat) her debut video “… Baby One More Time.” We want to know what you think of “Slave” winning it all in our 30 Videos for 30 Years tournament. Adam Carolla Slams Occupy Wall Street Protestors as Envious "A–holes"

We’re anxious to see what Priscilla Grim has to say about this… In a podcast recorded in October, but first making its way around the Internet now, Adam Carolla lays into the Occupy Wall Street movement. “We are now dealing with the first wave of participation trophy, my-own-fecal-matter-doesn’t-stink, empowered… everybody’s a winner, there are no losers – we are dealing with the first wave of those f*-cking a–holes,” Carolla says of those who have rallied against income inequality in America over the last couple months. “They haven’t been prepared for life.” Adam Carolla Goes Off on Occupy Wall Street Carolla believes most of the protestors are full of “envy and shame” because they can’t get a job, adding: “It used to be, back in the day, father’d be walking his son down the sidewalk and you’d see a guy go by in a Rolls Royce and the father would say, ‘There goes Mr. Jenkins. Look up to him. That guy works hard. That guy built a company… “But what do we do now? Now it’s like, ‘Oh! Look at him. Does he need that car? Why does he need that car? I’m driving a f-ckin Chevette. Why does he get to drive that f-ckin car? Let’s go and throw a f-ckin rock at it.’ That’s not going to help you get out of the Chevette, douche. Get the f-ck to work.” Conversely, Miley released a video last month that gave props to those behind the cause. Where do you stand on Occupy Wall Street?

Happy 30th Birthday, Britney Spears!

Wow. Just wow. Britney Spears celebrates her 30th birthday. It seems like a lifetime ago that we fell in love with this singer. In those 30 years, she’s seen almost that many scandals. She’s gone wild, then calmed down. She’s been on top, hit rock bottom, then climbed and fought her way back to the pinnacle again. Through it all, she’s entertained, and she’s won our hearts. Back at you, birthday girl. Back at you . She’s brought us so excitement, joy and fun, from musical, fashion and celebrity gossip standpoints. We’re thrilled to wish the pride of Kentwood the best today. From what we’ve heard, Jason Trawick may be planning a surprise to make today extra special, although he may put it off another week until her tour ends. Either way, expect her to be rocking a huge engagement ring by the time she rings in 2012, and after all she’s been through, we couldn’t be happier for her. Have a great 30th, sweetheart, and know that BS Nation has your back 250 percent. Click to enlarge this little THG tribute in Britney Spears pictures below!

Britney Spears’ ‘Slave 4 U,’ ‘Criminal’ In Final Two!

Fans have been voting in MTV News’ Britney Spears Tournament: 30 Videos for 30 Years , and the 30 contenders have been narrowed down to the final two: “I’m a Slave 4 U,” and “Criminal.” Voting in round four kicked off on Wednesday and by Thursday morning (December 1) “I’m a Slave 4 U” music video had breezed past Britney’s Femme Fatale hit “Hold It Against Me” with 67 percent of the vote. “Criminal,” which features Britney’s real-life boyfriend Jason Trawick had a tougher time, squeezing past younger Britney’s big hit “Lucky” with a lead of only 53 percent in the final-four round. Now, “Slave” and “Criminal” are battling it out for the title of best Britney Video of All Time; hundreds of thousands of votes were cast as the two clips made it through four competitive rounds. Head over to Britney30.MTV.com and vote for your favorite music video in MTV News’ Britney Spears Tournament: 30 Videos for 30 Years. Britney super fan and founder of BreatheHeavy.com, Jordan Miller, weighed in on why “Criminal” has made it this far, defeating the likes of “… Baby One More Time,” “Stronger” and “I Wanna Go” in the process. “I think ‘Criminal’ ‘s made it really far because it’s her latest music video that’s out,” Miller told MTV News. “I think if that music video came out years ago, I don’t think it would be doing so well. It’s being promoted right now on TV and radio, but I think because it’s new to fans, it’s made it this far.” The final round of voting closes at 7 a.m. on Friday . Vote for your favorite video as many times as you would like; the winner will be announced tomorrow morning, which also happens to be Britney’s 30th birthday!
