Britney Spears Announces Tour With Enrique Iglesias

Spears tells ‘Good Morning America’ the tour will start in June. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears performs at her “Good Morning America” concert Photo: Flanigan/ FilmMagic After rumors hit the Internet about Britney Spears’ forthcoming summer tour, on Tuesday morning (March 29), the singer confirmed the news. In between songs at her pretaped San Francisco show on “Good Morning America,” the singer made the huge announcement. Hanging out backstage with her dancers, wearing a billowing white shirt and jeans, she told the show’s host, Robin Roberts, “I’m going on tour with Enrique Iglesias in June.” Fans gathered at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium to watch Spears shimmy her way through Femme Fatale tracks “Hold It Against Me,” “Big Fat Bass” and her latest single, “Till the World Ends,” in varying body-hugging sexy costumes. “Thank you so much for all your love and support. You guys are beautiful,” she told the audience. “I love it. I love music. It’s my world. It’s my everything.” Before Britney even hit the stage in San Francisco, the room was kept entertained by five local drag queens , who explained to MTV News after Spears left the building that the performer really proved that she is still the pop star everyone knows and loves. “As a huge Britney fan, it was amazing,” Pollo Del Mar told us. “I was excited just to have Britney Spears here in San Francisco, but to participate and be a part of it was amazing. “It shows why she’s a superstar and certainly, I think that the crowd response showed that she’s beloved. … The reason I love Britney Spears is, throughout her career, she’s shown she’s human, she’s fallible … I think that makes her someone people can rally behind and love.” Spears’ Femme Fatale album drops today. Britney Spears Songwriter Talks ‘Sexy’ Femme Fatale Tune ‘Gasoline’

Claude Kelly says he envisioned Spears as ‘a man-eater’ when he wrote the track for her. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Eric Charbonneau/ Le Studio/ Wireimage Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale album, due out on Tuesday, is a sexy, dark dance record meant to be played heading to the club, at the club and at the post-party after the club. One of the tracks that exemplifies this is the fiery, Claude Kelly-penned “Gasoline.” Kelly conceived of the searing dance tune while thinking of Britney’s sexiest moments. “The picture that I envisioned in my mind was ‘Toxic,’ ‘Slave 4 U,’ ‘Boys,’ like that kind of [thing where] it’s sexy and it’s hot, sweaty and she’s in a club and she sees a guy,” he explained to MTV News. “That mysterious, exotic look, that whole imagery and that era where she’s a man-eater and all the girls want to be her and all the guys would kill to be with her. I think she pulled it off for sure.” Kelly also wrote the title track off of Spears’ 2008 album, Circus , but this time around he wanted to take things to a new level. “I’m super happy with the way it came out. She sounds fresh and exciting,” he said of the track, which was recorded in L.A. while Kelly was busy working on other projects elsewhere. “For this time, she’s in a place where she wants to be edgier again, so I was like, ‘How am I going to make the word gasoline a cool song?’ ” he recalled. “That’s really the challenge for me and I tried to play off what I know of Britney from the past, from the Blackout era, when she was more mysterious and dark. “The one thing that kind of strings all of [the songs] along is that feeling of edginess and mysterious and sexy and a little bit playful but a little bit dangerous,” he continued. “If you can tap into what she’s in the mood for, which is what happened with ‘Gasoline,’ clearly her mind was in the zone that ‘I want to be edgy.’ ” The party never stops on Femme Fatale , and Kelly is sure that the fans will be happy about that. “The most common thing I hear people say about Britney is ‘I want to dance.’ Girls love to dance to Britney,” he said. “I think people missed that and wanted that … This one was like, ‘Let’s her in the clubs again.’ ” Related Photos Britney Gets Angelic In These Femme Fatale Promo Shots Related Artists Britney Spears

B.o.B Goes After Tyler, The Creator In ‘No Future’

Bobby Ray’s track comes in response to Odd Future MC’s ‘Yonkers’ dig. By Jayson Rodriguez B.o.B Photo: Frank Mullen Not everyone is amused by the antics of Odd Future’s Tyler, the Creator. B.o.B took aim at the upstart on Friday (March 25) with a fiery dis track titled “No Future,” a response to a line the California rapper issued on his breakout “Yonkers.” “What you think of Hayley Williams?/ F— her, Wolf Haley robbing ’em,” Tyler raps on the song. “I’ll crash that f—ing airplane that that f—-t n—a B.o.B is in/ And stab Bruno Mars in his goddamn esophagus.” The line is characteristic of Tyler and his crew’s shocking rhymes; the collective are, in part, inspired by Eminem and works like his Relapse album with its slew of serial-killer references. The “Airplanes” star, however, isn’t a fan. “If I was you I would be a little more cautious,” Bobby Ray raps on “No Future.” “I’m way too high for you to look at/ The future ain’t looking promising for these rookies/ This is target practice but I don’t even pull the f—ing trigger anymore, ’cause it’s just a waste of bullets/ Come and get this pu—, wipe them off the floor/ I’m guessing they was hoping for some different results/ I’m guessing they was guessing ’cause they wasn’t really sure/ But f— it, I guess I’mma have to let these n—-s know. “Keep f—ing with me, you ain’t gon have no future,” he concludes. Tyler responded via Twitter. Perhaps taking the high road after driving too close to the edge, the 20-year-old wrote that he didn’t think “No Future” was a dis track. He even gave B.o.B props on the rhyme. “Whoa,” he wrote in his first message. “I don’t think the ‘No Future’ song is even a diss. But I’ve never heard him spit like that. Took me by surprise, cus it’s tight.” A second message took a swipe at producer Alex Da Kid over “Airplanes” and “Love the Way You Lie” sounding too similar. Britney Spears Electrifies Las Vegas With Nightclub Performance

Pop star hypes Femme Fatale ‘s release with flirty Friday night set. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears performs “Till the World Ends” at Rain Nightclub in the Palms Las Vegas Photo: Roderick Trestrail LAS VEGAS — After a killer set from “Jersey Shore” star DJ Pauly D on Friday night (March 25), a montage of Britney Spears’ best video moments played to a hyped crowd at Rain nightclub inside the Palms Casino and Resort. Once the videos wrapped, the crowd went even crazier as the Femme Fatale herself hit the stage. Spears sported a stunning sequined bodysuit and performed her first song of the night, lead single “Hold It Against Me.” Flanked by sexy male dancers, she sashayed her way through the song, which included sexy hair-tossing and a wind machine. For her second track of the night, Spears debuted the will.i.am-produced track “Big Fat Bass.” Her dancers hit the stage in bright yellow, while Spears opted for a body-hugging latex bodysuit. She emerged from a speaker box, and the appearance had her fans screaming. The track was remixed to include past hits like “3,” “Slave 4 U” and “Gimme More.” She danced around the stage and climbed up on speakers as she danced to the track. Britney kicked it up a few futuristic notches for her latest club banger, “Till the World Ends.” The stage was filled with ladders, LED lighting, dancers and Spears in a black latex bodysuit covered in red lights. She clearly was having a good time, smiling to her fans. Her choreography was decidedly sexy, including flirty dance moves with her male dancers. At the end, Spears ascended the ladders and ended up on a platform, gyrating from above the room. As fireworks lit the stage, Spears danced and tossed her hair as the song closed. The room was filled with electricity and excitement. The performance was being taped by MTV for a special airing next week. A teaser will debut Tuesday on MTV, the same day Spears’ latest album, Femme Fatale, hits stores. Did you see Britney perform in Vegas? Share your reviews in the comments! Britney Spears’ ‘GMA’ Tickets Auctioned Off For Japan Relief

Fan paid more than $1,000 for VIP passes to Spears’ performance this Sunday in San Francisco. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage Britney Spears is doing her part to try and help those affected by the tragic events in Japan. The Femme Fatale singer donated two tickets to her “Good Morning America” taping this Sunday in San Francisco to a local area radio station who then decided to use them for some good. Bay Area radio station Wild 94.9 got their hands on two VIP passes to the show, which they in turn put up for auction, with proceeds going to the Salvation Army . By the time the auction closed on Wednesday night, the winner had bought their spot for $1,136. Spears will be in in San Francisco this Sunday to pre-tape her “GMA” appearance, which will air on Tuesday — the day that her Femme Fatale album drops. Spears was originally slated to perform in the Castro district at midday, but due to potentially wet weather conditions, the show has been moved to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium . ‘GMA’ host Robin Roberts, who interviewed Chris Brown earlier this week, will be on hand to chat with Britney for the segment. “Good morning, America,” Spears said, her voice sounding a bit low and hoarse, in a promo for her ‘GMA’ gig that aired late last month. “I’m excited to tell you on Tuesday morning, March 29, I’ll be performing for the first time ever in a special concert in San Francisco … on ‘Good Morning America.’ And I promise you it’ll be a morning to remember. See you soon!” Spears also appeared in a second clip promoting the performance, in which she told fans, “Wake up with me. This is going to be so good.” Spears’ ‘GMA’ visit kicks off promo for Femme Fatale , which will include several appearances on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” the week that the album drops. MTV will dedicate this Tuesday to the femme fatale herself for what is being dubbed a “Britney take-over” day on the network. Additionally, Spears will make an appearance on the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on April 2, though there is no word on whether she’ll be performing, presenting or just getting slimed. For more information on what you can do to help with earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan head to MTV Act , or text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. But she won’t be trying to copy Brit’s dance moves: ‘I wouldn’t want to butcher it!’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Selena Gomez Photo: MTV News Selena Gomez is a die-hard Britney Spears fan, so when she hits the road on her upcoming tour, she plans to pay homage to the Femme Fatale herself. “We haven’t announced anything yet, but I’m kind of creatively thinking of what I want,” she told MTV News. “We are working on a few cover songs. We are working on a Britney tribute, which I’m so stoked about, ’cause I love Britney. We’re gonna do her hits, ‘ … Baby One More Time,’ and then I think we’re going to try to incorporate ‘Toxic’ and that phase,” she said. “And then we might do some of her recent, new stuff.” While she may sing some of Spears’ biggest hits, she has no plans to re-create any of her famous dance moves. “I don’t think so.
