With her face plastered on tabloids and with a recent arrest on record, Christina Aguilera faced the press yesterday. The singer made her first public appearance since being booked for public intoxication, telling journalists gathered for an event to hype NBC’s The Voice that life can be difficult in the spotlight. “We’re only able to be seen through the microscope of the media and what people gossip about,” Aguilera said. On the panel, Christina joked around with fellow judge Adam Levine and played with son Max throughout the interview. She continued: “You take the good with the bad. It’s by telling our stories, sharing our experiences and really giving a first hand look at us as human beings [that shows] who we really are, apart from what we seem to be.” Her goal as a judge on this American Idol -like competition? To inspire contestants. ” The Voice isn’t about tearing people down. I want to bring people up. I want to empower them and give them all the tools I had. I love that I get to be apart of that.”
“Hold It Against Me” is a #1 hit. “Till the World Ends” is not far behind. Two additional tracks, “I Wanna Go” and “Inside Out” , leaked just last week. Both have drawn waves. The pop princess is back, baby. Britney Spears opens up to Rolling Stone in a fun new Q&A session. She talks a lot about her new album, Femme Fatale , as well as her home life. Some excerpts from her interview below … On the kids’ take on FF : “They definitely dance to it but they are still confused …. It’s like, ‘who is this Britney Spears singer in contrast to mommy?'” On her involvement in the process : “I have always been heavily involved in every album I have ever made. I’m very stubborn when it comes to recording and will only record songs I love, which is why it takes me a long time to make an album.” “I have to feel connected before I record and the song has to spark something inside me. Very few songs do that. I guess it’s a good process because I love all my music. I know there are a lot of artists that hate songs they recorded.” On the sound of Femme Fatale: “I wanted to make a fresh-sounding album for the clubs or something that you play in your car when you’re going out at night that gets you excited but I wanted it to sound different from everything else out right now.” “I also wanted to experiment with all the different types of music I love which is why you hear a mixture of pop, hip-hop and dance throughout.” On what she listens to at home : “I love the Peas but I also love Deadmau5. I guess I’m all over the place. Lately I have been listening to Robyn and Adele non-stop but I also love to find new artists that very few people know about.” On working with will.i.am : “The Peas make incredibly catchy, fun pop/dance records and I LOVE will.i.am’s style. I have always wanted to do a song with him and would love to work with him more in the future. He is so interesting.” On working with Dr. Luke : “We have known each other for a long time. Most people don’t know this but we worked together when I was recording Blackout . He was incredible back then and he has only gotten better over the years.” Here’s Britney’s latest efforts from the new record … Britney Spears – I Wanna Go Britney Spears – Inside Out
Brit’s site confirms “Ellen” appearances, MTV takeover day and more leading up to Femme Fatale release. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Jive Britney Spears has become a very busy lady in the lead-up to the March 29 release of Femme Fatale. After rumors came out on Wednesday that Spears would make several appearances on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the week her album drops, a press release posted on her website now confirms that and a few other engagements on Brit’s calendar. The release also confirms that Spears will pre-tape her “Good Morning America” appearance on March 27, two days before it airs on the show. MTV will dedicate March 29 to the femme fatale herself for what is being dubbed a “Britney take-over” day on the network. Additionally, Spears will make an appearance on the Kids’ Choice Awards on April 2, though there is no word on whether she’ll be performing, presenting or just getting slimed. Spears is currently rehearsing for her appearances and working on the video for her second single, “Till the World Ends.” It will be directed by Norwegian director and photographer Ray Kay, who has worked with Lady Gaga, the Backstreet Boys, Beyonc

‘When it’s time to pull and tuck, I’m sure I will consider it,’ the almost-30-year-old singer says. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Jive Britney Spears is fine with the numerous comparisons that have been made between her and Madonna over the course of her career. After all, she tried to mold herself after the star. When asked who she tried to emulate when she first started out, Spears answered, “Madonna. No question. She is an amazing entertainer. Besides Madonna, I also admire Sarah Jessica Parker’s career and her shoe collection,” the singer told Out magazine. ( Madonna is also set to have her own Out cover this month when both covers drop on March 29.) She had equally kind words for her pop contemporaries. What does she think of Lady Gaga? “Unique.” What about former pop rival Christina Aguilera? “Truly talented.” Over the course of her career, Spears has recorded a number of songs ranging from the awesome (“Toxic,” “Slave 4 U”) to the more forgettable (“Email My Heart”), but she has no regrets. “All of my songs are f—ing amazing,” she told the magazine. Spears displayed that same swagger when talking about her latest release. “I think Femme Fatale is my most upbeat and mature album yet. I collaborated with will.i.am. I am a huge fan of Black Eyed Peas, and I have always wanted to work with him. I also worked with a new up-and-coming artist from the L.A. area named Sabi. She raps on a song I love called ‘(Drop Dead) Beautiful.’ ” While she loves all her own tracks, there’s one recent radio smash that Spears wishes she had jumped on. Spears said that she would have loved to record Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love the Way You Lie.” The magazine also delved a bit further into the singer’s personal life. When asked how she would feel if one of her sons turned out to be gay, she replied, “I love my boys no matter what.” And when asked if the singer ever crushed on a female celebrity, she responded, “I only have eyes for men.” Spears noted that everyone should have the right to marry, including gay people. “I think everyone should be treated equally.” Femme Fatale ‘s release is one of Britney’s major milestones for 2011. Another is the singer’s 30th birthday, which she doesn’t seem very worried about. “I’m excited to be out of my 20s,” she said, before sharing that she’s not against plastic surgery. “When it’s time to pull and tuck, I’m sure I will consider it.” Related Videos MTV First: Britney Spears’ ‘Hold It Against Me’ Premiere Related Artists Britney Spears

‘If it puts me in a good mood, it clicks for me,’ singer tells Ryan Seacrest of Ke$ha-penned track. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Jeremy Cowart/ WireImage Britney Spears got her fans amped up for her forthcoming album, Femme Fatale, when she released its second single, “Till the World Ends,” on Thursday. The chugging, Ke$ha-penned club banger is all about getting your dance on. And when Spears stopped by Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Friday (March 4), she admitted that the song just felt right for her as soon as she heard it. ” ‘Till the World Ends’ is fun! It’s fun. I like it. It’s good energy,” she said of the track, which was produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Billboard. “I’m a vibe person, and I think I love good-mood songs, and if it puts me in a good mood, it clicks for me.” As for the album, which already spawned a chart-topping single, “Hold It Against Me,” she teased, “I think it’s my best work yet. I listened to it on the way over here. It’s definitely something you want to work out to. … And I’m a dancer, so it’s definitely something I can work with.” “Oh my God! Will.i.am is amazing,” Spears said of the producer, who teased the track “The Big Fat Bass” recently. “He’s so much fun and he’s funny and he’s a charm. His music is so much fun. When they told me I was going to be working with him, I couldn’t wait. If it gets you going, you get excited, and he has that type of energy.” In addition to talking about the album, Spears also shared plans for a summer tour. And she talked about how she’s keeping in shape these days as she amps up to promote the album, which drops March 29. “I have a trainer. [I go] on the treadmill for 30 minutes and we do a lot of cardio, running,” she explained. “He kicks my butt. You pay to hate your trainer!” It seems that the workout regimen has also had an effect on her beau, talent agent Jason Trawick, who, according to Seacrest, was “pudgy” before he hooked up with the pop star. “He wasn’t pudgy,” she laughed. “He wasn’t pudgy. He is definitely ripped. He just got on this health kick. I guess he’s on a health kick. He eats what he wants.” Related Videos MTV First: Britney Spears’ ‘Hold It Against Me’ Premiere Related Photos Britney Spears’ ‘Hold It Against Me’ Pop-Culture References Related Artists Britney Spears Ke$ha
‘Till The World Ends’ expected out sometime next week. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Jeremy Cowart/ WireImage Slowly but surely, fans are getting a taste of what Britney Spears’ March 29 album release, Femme Fatale, will sound like. On Wednesday, Spears slowed things down with the tease for her track “Criminal” and psyched fans up with the news that she worked with Travis Barker on the album. Fans are speculating that the next single released will be the Ke$ha-penned track, “Till the World Ends.” Art for the single’s cover, in which Spears appears sitting on a couch in a sweater and heels, was posted at Deezer.com . A 30-second snippet of the song appeared on Amazon.de , which indicates that the single will be available on March 11. The track sounds like a fist-pumping anthem, and the sample showcases Spears’ electronically enhanced vocals going “Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh.” The single will reportedly drop sometime next week, according to a tweet sent out by Tampa radio station 93.3 FM. “Hearing from Jive Records that we’ll have a new @BritneySpears single to play next week!” Ke$ha recently dished about the track to Spin.com , noting that the song is about the power of an artist performing a great gig. “That song is me imagining her and any female musician touring the world,” she says. “You know, when you go out, and you’re having an amazing, magical night and you don’t want to go to sleep and you want it to last until the world ends.” Spears’ longtime manager Larry Rudolph recently told MTV News that he’s super-excited about the next single off Femme Fatale . “I don’t think I’ve been this excited about releasing a Britney single in many, many years,” he said. “It’s that good. That’s all I’m gonna say about it at the moment. I haven’t heard a final mix of it, but I should get it in the next day or two. So far, what I’ve heard is just extraordinary. It really is amazing. Her fans will be very happy with it. I’m trying hard to get it out before the album comes out.” For those keeping count, it’s not the first time Ke$ha and Spears have worked together. Ke$ha appeared on the Circus song “Lace and Leather.” “I just did backgrounds for her ’cause I was so broke. I needed to pay my rent,” she shared back in 2009. “I got a few bucks. No, [I didn’t meet her]. I just did backups for her.” Related Videos MTV First: Britney Spears’ ‘Hold It Against Me’ Premiere Related Photos Britney Spears’ ‘Hold It Against Me’ Pop-Culture References Related Artists Britney Spears Ke$ha
Here’s Britney Spears on the cover of V Magazine looking pretty damn good actually. I thought she was fat now? She doesn’t look fat at all, she looks she used to look, somebody must be pretty good at photoshop. I’m not digging the overly saturated colors though, I can’t see a damn thing. I know she’s topless under there somewhere, I just wish I could see it, although I see it pretty much every night in my dreams. I think I’m having a seizure.
