Britney Spears’ Tight Shirt Disappoints

What the hell? Are all former sexy popstars chunking up these days? Is this a thing now? First it was Christina Aguilera putting on some blubber for the chilly winter and now Britney Spears seems to be packing on the weight for some reason. She looks like she’s got a fifty year old man’s body in that tight shirt. Obviously it’s just the wind blowing up the there inflating the crap out of it, what a waste, if you’re going to go out in the wind where a damn skirt. Disappointed.

Britney Spears Going For A More ‘Urban’ Sound, Danja Reveals

Producer says singer is still recording tracks for upcoming album. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Matt Elias Britney Spears Photo: Fame Pictures According to music producer Danja , Britney Spears is still hard at work on her March album release. The producer, who has worked with Spears on songs like “Gimme More,” “Break the Ice” and “Kill the Lights” in the past, reveals that he and the pop superstar are still working on tracks together. “Britney, I don’t have too much news, but I’m always creating something,” he told MTV News on Thursday, the same day that Spears’ first single, “Hold It Against Me,” was topping the iTunes charts . “Still recording. She still has songs to cut, but we’ll see what happens.” When asked what kinds of songs he’s throwing together for Britney , his comments echoed those he made last June. “I just took my track level up. I just wanted to make sure it’s still hard-hitting and still that same energy that people heard, but very today’s time,” he said. “So we’ll see. I don’t know what the project will end up being, but we’ll see. We did have a meeting like a year ago, and they wanted it to sound urban, hard-hitting, not so much dance, but just that similar sound.” Danja says that he has yet to actually get in the studio with the star, but he has been in conversation with her about any potential songs that might be included on her still untitled album. “Well, for me, this time around I haven’t been in with her yet,” he revealed. “It’s just been us writing and creating and really nailing a sound or a song more than anything.” In addition to working on tracks for the album, Spears is also hard at work on the video for her first single. Her choreographer Brian Friedman spoke to MTV’s “The Seven” this week, describing what fans will see when the video drops. “I think you can expect the unexpected from Britney,” he said. “She is taking risks when it comes to fashion, when it comes to choreography, when it comes to this music — she’s grown up so much, and she’s pushing 30 years old soon, so she’s a strong, independent woman and I think she wants to show that.” Related Artists Danja Britney Spears

Britney Spears Attempts A Booty Shot

I don’t know if booty shot was the best choice of words, but Britney Spears is definitely trying to let me know that she’s more than just a crazy chick with hair extensions and a bunch of children she doesn’t care about. Message received princess… Message received. Wait, all she’s doing is getting out of her SUV and walking the other direction? Come on, I’m not buying it, she knows exactly what she’s doing and I appreciate it but I’m not falling for it this time. Good try though.

Among Britney Spears Singles, Where Does ‘Hold It Against Me’ Rank?

‘It’s going to stick, but it doesn’t have that little pixie dust that makes a really magical Britney song,’ one expert says. By Jocelyn Vena, with additional reporting by Christina Garibaldi Britney Spears in “Toxic” Photo: Jive Britney Spears got grimy on her newest single, “Hold It Against Me,” a Dr. Luke/ Max Martin-produced thrashing club tune about lusting on the dance floor. It serves as the lead single from Brit’s March album , and it follows in the tradition of other Brit lead singles like ” … Baby One More Time,” “Oops! … I Did It Again” and “Womanizer,” which had Britney-philes (and even some Britney haters) on the dance floor. But how does the track stack up against previous Britney singles? MTV News caught up with some Spears scholars to get their thoughts. “I would probably [rank this] less on the ‘Oops!’/’Toxic’ level and more on the ‘Womanizer’ [level], where it’s that thing where it’s a really repetitive chorus that you could fit on a fortune cookie,” Entertainment Weekly music critic Leah Greenblatt told MTV News. “Two weeks later, you’re, like, dreaming that song and singing it in the shower and hating yourself for singing it through your commute, so I think it’s kind of insidious and it’s going to stick, but it doesn’t have that little pixie dust that makes a really magical Britney song.” Perez Hilton seemed to feel similarly about the song, admitting that he likes the direction this track takes compared to the work she’s put out on her last few records. “I think ‘Hold It Against Me’ is definitely better than a lot of things she’s done in the past, but not quite as good as ‘Toxic.’ I like ‘Hold It Against Me’ better than ‘Womanizer,’ but not as much as ‘Circus.’ “I don’t think is revolutionary,” he continued. “It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s a fun track. It’s a great setup single to remind everybody ‘Britney’s back.’ This is Britney’s ‘pay attention to me’ track.” MTV News’ very own Jim Cantiello said the song certainly isn’t ” … Baby One More Time,” but it’s also not “3,” and that’s good with him. “Do I think it’s better than ‘Womanizer’ and ‘3’? Hell yes! … To me, it sounds very much like Britney,” he explained. “Her voice is back, but it still has that dirty, filthy dance sound that I loved on Blackout. ” But what do you think of “Hold It Against Me”?
