Sinead O’Connor Reported Missing, Possibly Suicidal, Sources Claim

According to TMZ, singer Sinead O’Connor has been reported missing after going on a bike ride in Chicago Sunday morning and failing to return. The site reports that O’Connor has been classified “missing suicidal” by Chicago police, who reportedly received a 911 call from a concerned friend of Sinead’s this morning. O’Connor has a history of erratic behavior, and troublingly, she’s displayed suicidal tendencies in the past. Just last year,  O’Connor left a suicide note for her family to find, and was eventually hospitalized to be treated for a number of mental health issues. While she was reportedly stable for several months after being released, O’Connor’s condition seems to have worsened recently. Those closest to O’Connor say she’s been deeply disturbed ever since the death of Prince , her longtime friend and mentor. Her mourning was apparently exacerbated by O’Connor’s bizarre public feud with Arsenio Hall, whom she claims provided drugs to the late pop star. Currently, O’Connor is being sued by Hall , after she publicly blamed the comedian for Prince’s death. There is no word on the specifics of O’Connor’s disappearance, but those closest to the 49-year-old are said to be deeply concerned. A police bulletin reported that O’Connor was dressed in a black parka and black leather pants, and riding a motorized bike. Insiders say the singer is not familiar with the suburb of Wilmette, where she was reportedly last seen. While the neighborhood where she is believed to have disappeared is a relatively safe one, authorities and loved ones are reportedly concerned about O’Connor’s capacity for self harm. The police bulletin indicates that anyone who sees O’Connor should contact the Chicago PD. We’ll have further updates on this story as more information becomes available. NeNe Leakes Leaves “Real Housewives of Atlanta” After 7 long seasons on the show, and becoming quite arguably the breakout star of the entire Bravo franchise, threatening to pull the trigger numerous times, and even getting a HUGE pay raise to stick around…NeNe Leakes is finally making her exit from “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” She shared a goodbye message to her Instagram fans just a few moments ago: Wow, did you ever think you’d see the day? Looks like Mariah from ‘Married to Medicine” is joining as a replacement instead of a sidekick. But hold on, don’t think Bravo is letting their cash cow go that easily! As E!online reports, NeNe will still be hitting the airwaves in her own spinoff show, in addition to her other RHOA side-show with Kim Zolciak . No hard decisions have yet been made on the specifics of NeNe’s show, but they’re expected within the next week. Welp, no more NeNe! With so many cast switch-ups and changes, will you be watching RHOA next season???

What’s up with these NFL thugs?! Chicago Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd was arrested yesterday for trying to buy drugs from a Homeland Security agent. Take a look at the specifics: -He wanted to purchase 5 to 10 kilos of cocaine and 1000 pounds of marijuana a week -Told agent that he was already distributing 4 kilos in Chicago area -From July 2011 thru Wednesday, Hurd has 21 violations of attempting to or purchasing drugs Here’s the crazy thing: he just signed a $5.1 million contract. Team Edward or Team Jacob? It’s no longer a question reserved for Twihards, or pop culture followers in general. Supreme Court Justice nominee Elena Kagan was actually asked which side she’s on during confirmation hearings this week. But forget future judges. On which end of this debate do Jersey Shore stars and country singers fall? A handful of celebrities were asked to pledge their allegiance to Edward or Jacob this week and replied with the following: Snooki : I’m Team Edward just because he’s very sexy, but then again, I’m Team Jacob because he has potential guido status. The Situation : I don’t think I’m on any team on that one because I like women. But on the other hand, I am fans of them both, I think they’re both great actors. Julianne Hough : I’m in love with Edward. Martina McBride : Well, Edward’s really cute, I think he’s very romantic, but I think probably Jacob is a healthier relationship. He seems to care. He’s not as obsessive. It’s a little more well-rounded. Brooklyn Decker : I’m Team Bella. I’m always rooting for her. I think she’s the atypical heroine, and a lot of people relate to that. The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky may have hinted that she ends up alone after this season, but could she just be playing it coy? That’s Us Weekly ‘s theory. The celebrity gossip publication “confirms” (term used very loosely) there’s a proposal on the season finale – and the gorgeous Massachusetts native accepts! For all we know, it’s a proposal by Chris Harrison to join him for a glass of water during a five-minute break from filming – but congratulations in any case! “She’s already thinking about the details,” a source says – and she’s SO excited! “She did the show because she was ready to settle down and get married.” Us claims the former Facebook ad rep is planning a West Coast wedding in early 2011. Who’s the lucky guy? The anonymous sources aren’t saying, natch. Is Ali Fedotowsky really engaged – and to whom? Unlike that stiff Jake Pavelka, who gushed about being engaged throughout the season, Ali’s remarks have been of the “I’m happy with my decision” variety. Some believe that’s code for “I’m still single.” Reports that Ali Fedotowsky is already dating some other guy ( Patrick Hammon ) also cast doubt on any Bachelorette engagement stories, don’t you think? We’re obviously not in the know as far as the specifics, but our gut reaction is to call BS on this story. There are only vague details and no sourced quotes. Tiger and Elin Woods’ Divorce: Who Will File First?

Elin Nordegren is so over Tiger Woods. That’s the consensus from everything we’ve read, and it’s hard to blame the woman. But is Tiger over his wife, as well? All indications are still that a divorce is ” 100 percent happening ,” and it’s not just the endless parade of cocktail waitress mistresses that solidified their fate. “The writing is on the wall,” says a well-versed source close to Tiger. “He committed to several additional golf tournaments, which effectively says eff you, Elin.” “She was not in support of him returning to golf. His self-imposed hiatus didn’t last; he screwed up at the Masters and left his calm, collected image in ruins.” The insider, who has dealings with Tiger Woods both professionally and socially, believes an official divorce announcement could be a mere few days away. Still, this is Tiger Woods Inc. Even the specifics of how the divorce will be announced has potential to be quite the protracted battle between Tiger and Elin. Tiger’s marriage status resembles his face in this awesome doctored pic . “Even [the divorce] will be negotiated,” the source says. “Does [Tiger] take the high road and ‘allow’ her to file, or can he not stand the idea of people thinking he wasn’t in control? What will the statement say regarding custody?” “Right now, you’d think he’ll be bargaining for joint physical custody when she’ll surely want to piss him off and file for sole custody. As for spousal/child support? I daresay things are about to get even juicer than you think.” Really? We’re thinking pretty juicy stuff. If we were Elin, we’d take a cue from the Sandra Bullock-Jesse James divorce and get the ball rolling ASAP. What’s the use in dragging it out? Give up. Move on. She supposedly wants to start over in Sweden . Hopefully, if Tiges respects his soon-to-be former wife and kids, he’ll just bow out and let her do as she pleases. This would make sense from a business standpoint, too. His PR blitz wouldn’t exactly get a boost from preemptively ditching the wife … if she does, though? Maybe, just maybe, the public sees Tiger Woods as a sympathetic figure, or at least a guy who got what he deserved and can now move on to better things. Like the Orlando cocktail lounge VIP scene. HOLLA!

Holder shows no interest in justifying ‘preventive detention’

The five-page letter (PDF) that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder issued this week defending the decision to treat the Christmas Day bomber suspect as a criminal suspect, rather than as a wartime captive, offered new insight into the Obama administration's view of the limits of preventive detention. The letter suggests that the administration sees virtually no legal foundation for holding terrorism suspects arrested on U.S. soil in preventive detention and has very little interest in trying to create any. He didn't confine his reasoning to the specifics of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab's case, but instead offered an overarching view of the current state of the law. “Some have argued that had Abdulmutallab been declared an enemy combatant, the government could have held him indefinitely without providing him access to an attorney,” Holder wrote. “But the government's legal authority to do so is far from clear.” Holder suggested that the administration would need to see a “court-approved system” for domestic military detentions to conclude that it did have the authority. http://rawstory.com/2010/02/holder-shows-interest-justifying-preventive-detentio… added by: SleepDirt
