Sony Pictures has found someone to follow in the webbed shoes of Tobey Maguire. Little-known actor Andrew Garfield has won the coveted role, as the franchise is looking for a reboot . It will take us back to a time long before Peter Parker gained his special abilities. Garfield was born in Los Angeles, but raised in England. He appeared in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and will co-star with Justin Timberlake in the upcoming Facebook-based film Social Network . He received a BAFTA in 2008 for his performance in Boy A . Said director Marc Webb: “Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor’s work understand his extraordinary talents. A day after Batman 3 and Salt received their own real-life viral-marketing boosts, have a look at this 13-year-old in England trying to pass himself off as anything but some wall-climbing, vacuum-pad-rocking allusion to Sony’s forthcoming Spider-Man reboot. Don’t confuse this with James Franco’s own viral adventures , which have nothing on this clip that races from WTF to hilarious back to WTF in 60 seconds flat. This kid is walking on a wall, people. Logan Lerman May Be Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

Who’s Logan Lerman , you ask? Well, in addition to starring as the titular Percy Jackson in February’s fever dream kiddie pic, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief , he’s also apparently lined up to play Peter Parker. Sony has placed the 18-year-old on the top of their list to play Spider-Man in the Marc Webb-directed reboot of the mega-franchise, ahead of better known young actors like Jesse Eisenberg and Anton Yelchin.

Robert Pattinson Will NOT Be Playing Spider-Man

Twilight star Robert Pattinson has denied that he will be playing the role of Spider-Man in the next movie. The 23-year-old actor was rumored to be taking on the role of the web-slinging hero after Tobey Maguire quit the series after three films. However, Pattinson said to UK newspaper Daily Record: “I don’t think I’m going to be playing Spider-Man, even though I would quite like to do it.” How bad do you Twi-Hards want to see RPattz running around in a skintight spandex suit?
