Oscar winner is expecting her first child with actor/director boyfriend Guillaume Cane. The actress’ rep confirmed the news to multiple celebrity websites; the pregnancy was first reported by Us Weekly. People reports that the baby is expected this spring. Despite being photographed wearing a sparkling ring, a gift from her beau, a source said the couple are not engaged. “They haven’t disclosed any plans concerning marriage,” the source explained. The Oscar winner and Cane, a French actor and director, met when they starred together in “Love Me if You Dare” in 2003. They began dating in 2007. They most recently worked together on Cane’s film “Little White Lies.” In a 2009 interview with The Telegraph, Cotillard made it clear that she wanted to start a family. “You can’t work all your life,” she explained. “I was thinking, of course, about my life, which is a lucky, lucky, lucky life. I have the choice to take a big break and I have to do that. I want to have babies so I must take some time to have babies.” In the same interview, she recalled some advice “Nine” co-star Daniel Day-Lewis gave her. “Take care of my life,” she recalled the actor telling her. ” ‘Don’t work too much.’ He’s right.” Next up, Cotillard will star in Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris,” alongside Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams, and Steven Soderbergh’s “Contagion.” Cotillard might be making the awards-show rounds this season as “Inception” is up for Best Motion Picture – Drama at the Golden Globes and is getting Oscar buzz. Rihanna To Launch Reb’l Fleur Fragrance In Spring

Teaming up with Parlux Fragrances Inc. , the songstress is set to release the new scent called Reb’l Fleur in department stores this spring. In a press release, the Loud singer said she hoped to make a one-of-a-kind perfume, from the aroma to the design of the bottle. “I believe a woman should dare to be different — willing to live her life for herself and not for other people,” Rihanna said in the release. “This fragrance is about my passion for individuality — being expressive and empowering, yes, but also emotional and intriguing. I promise you Reb’l Fleur will not be easily forgotten.” Reminiscent of the singer’s native land of Barbados, the scent combines the impressions of delicious fruits and sumptuous florals, as well as a musky blend of vanilla, patchouli and amber. Rihanna fans can begin purchasing the fragrance at department stores in the spring, with prices ranging from $49 (1.7 oz. bottle) to $59 (3.4 oz. bottle). While the perfume recalls Rihanna’s early life, the bottle for Reb’l Fleur captures an element of her current lifestyle, since it was inspired by the shape of a stiletto heel. Photographed by music-video director Anthony Mandler, a graphic advertisement for the scent shows a red-headed Rihanna leaning against a wall in a blouse. Holding a white rose to her mouth, the singer appears coy as she looks into the distance. In addition to the ad, Parlux’s Lori Zelenko revealed to MTV News that the singer has also shot a 30-second “hip, edgy” viral video for Reb’l Fleur. News of a Rihanna fragrance first surfaced back in 2009, when Parlux Fragrances announced that the singer and frequent collaborator Kanye West inked a deal with the beauty company via Jay-Z’s Iconic Fragrance. Lady Gaga vs. Britney Spears: Who Will Rule 2011?

As she announced earlier via pants-less Twitter pic, Lady Gaga has a new album out this spring. But she’ll have some serious competition as she looks to cement her place as the reigning queen of pop music and culture: Britney Spears. Gaga’s single, “Born This Way,” is due out next month, with her album of the same name set for May. Britney’s album is scheduled for a March release. Which pop queen will conquer music in 2011? Which bombshell will rise to the top of the heap? Can they deliver truly cutting-edge music or will they rely on their persona to carry them forward? On top of musical similarities, the two have rabid fan bases (Gaga, Justin Bieber and Britney have the most Twitter fans worldwide, in that order). While Gaga’s image is unique and experimental, she’s still so new to the scene that it’s hard to know what to expect in terms of her musical style. The same is true, oddly enough, of Britney. Despite being a seasoned vet, she’s so micromanaged that musically, she’s now a veritable blank slate. These new Britney song lyrics were leaked, but would anything she does fail to satisfy her fans? Spears is as bulletproof as they come in this era. Because The Fame was so groundbreaking and so fresh, the pressure is more on Gaga to produce something of comparable cultural significance. Both will rack up huge sales because people are invested in them . Even if the albums are merely average, fans want them to succeed as people. But if either superstar comes out with an album that’s edgy, catchy, different and brilliant on its own merit, that’s who will rule the year in music. What do you think? As recently as this spring, Ryan Phillippe said he was still sad over his divorce from Reese Witherspoon. But the actor has taken the high, mature road when it comes to his ex-wife’s recent engagement , telling The New York Daily News : “I’m very happy for both Reese and Jim. I wish nothing but the best for the mother of my children.” Phillippe and Witherspoon have two children together. They divorced in 2008 amidst rumors that he cheated on her with Abbie Cornish, with whom Ryan then carried on a relationship for many months. He’s now single.

Although we reported this earlier in the month…sources are still talking about this Matt Kemp and Rihanna break-up: Time for Rihanna to pen a new break-up ballad: After almost a year together, she and Matt Kemp have called it quits, an insider close to the singer tells UsMagazine.com. “It happened over the last few weeks,” explains the source. “She basically was just over it.” A rep for Rihanna (she’s currently vacationing with family in her native Barbados) could not be reached for comment. Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Kemp, 26, helped Rihanna, 22, move on from Chris Brown, who infamously assaulted her in February 2009. The duo were first spotted frolicking together in Cabo San Lucas last January, and slowly opened up about their romance in the spring. But the “Only Girl” singer has been “so busy,” the insider says. “He just can’t keep up with her crazy travel schedule.” “Matt’s sick of always following after her like a puppy dog all over the world. He wants something more normal,” the source adds. Plus, the insider says, “It was never as serious as it looked. It was always just [about] having fun.” Stilll, back in May, Kemp gushed about his love: “She’s just a fun person. I love to be around her.” In June, Rihanna similarly said of Kemp: “I’m so happy.
