‘Tis the season to be VERY merry if you’re Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner. On the latest edition of their podcast, the former Married at First Sight couple announced that they’ll soon be adding another limb to their family tree. Yup: Otis is pregnant!!!!!!!!!!! “We are expanding the family! Jamie and I are now pregnant and we’re going to be parents of two,” Doug told listeners this week, adding in excitement: “Something we’ve been trying for a little while now has finally come to fruition and I can’t wait to meet our little baby boy.” Jamie jumped in at this point and said that Doug hopes it’s a boy — so we can’t say for certain whether the twosome has learned the gender just yet. Otis also mocked her husband a bit by adding: “I love that you said Jamie and Doug are pregnant. I’m pretty sure there’s only one of us pregnant.” The pair is already parents to 16-month-old daughter, Henley Grace. Back in July of 2016. they went public with the horrific news that Otis had suffered a miscarriage . “Our Baby Hehner was just too beautiful for earth,” Otis said at the time, adding: “I love him so much – ALWAYS will – and can’t wait to meet him in heaven one day. Please pray for us.” Otis and Hehner named this lost child Johnathan and honored him a year after his death by planting a tree in his honor. “I will forever be thankful & I’ll never forget the countless Frans [friends and fans] – and even strangers – who reached out to me to offer love & support,” Jamie wrote in July of 2017. It was heartbreaking stuff, and Johnathan will never be replaced of course, but thankfully Jamie and Doug have other blessings to now be thankful for. We posed a very important question just a few weeks ago: Have Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott confirmed their engagement ? The answer, as it turns out, is not. But Scott has now talked more extensively to Rolling Stone than ever before when it comes to his famous romance, confirming to the publication that we were only slightly off base by asking the inquiry above. Yes, an engagement is coming… soon . “We’ll get married soon,” Scott says very simply in this cover story, teasing his proposal and making it sound as if he knows what the answer will be when it happens: “I just gotta sturdy up – I gotta propose in a fire way.” And in a public way that will be filmed by E! cameras and which can therefore make our family tons of money, Kris Jenner is no doubt thinking. Scott got together with Jenner in the spring of 2017. Just a couple months later, we learned Kylie was pregnant, prompting many to assume the baby was unplanned and that Scott was only sticking around because it would be a major PR hit to abandon his knocked up girlfriend. But this was never the case, he insists. Absolutely, the relationship began in a casual manner. However, it took a turn for the serious long before the stars had unprotected sex and created a life inside Jenner’s womb. “We was just two kids, f-cking around. Maybe, like, the first week, you don’t know if it’s real or a fling,” he told Rolling Stone, explaining: “Then the second week you’re like, ‘Whoa, I’m still talking to her, she’s responding, I’m responding. We ain’t run out of a thing to say.’ And it got to a point where I was like, ‘I need her with me to operate. She’s that one.’” Not only is she that one . It sounds like Kylie is The One for Travis. Followers have been wondering for awhile whether Scott and Jenner were already married , considering how they frequently refer to each other as “hubby” and “wifey.” It’s really sort of irritating. As for how Scott reacted when he learned Kylie was expecting? He spoke on that in this interview as well… “At first I was like, ‘Man, I need a son.’ “When we found out it was a girl, I was like, ‘Huhhh.’ But after a while I was like, ‘Yo, this might be the illest thing that ever happened.’ “And when Stormi was born, I was like, ‘Life is fire, bro.’” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Or, rather, we wouldn’t have said it like that ourselves. But we think Scott is saying he’s psyched to be a dad. The question now is when Kylie and Travis will have another child , not that there’s any rush at all to do so. They’ve already defied the odds by sticking together this long — and it doesn’t sound as if there’s an end in sight. “People don’t understand how real my girl is. How ill she is,” Scott says in his own way, concluding: “They have assumptions, bullshit-ass remarks of what they think is going on. Things aren’t looking so good for Kevin Hart right now. Don’t feel bad though, it’s all 100% his own fault. There’s a whole, whole lot to unpack here, so let’s just get to it, all right? Earlier this week, it was announced that Kevin would be acting as host for next year’s Academy Awards. Many people took issue with this because of several homophobic comments he’s made in the past . In 2011, he tweeted “Yo if my son comes home & try’s 2 play with my daughters doll house I’m going 2 break it over his head & say n my voice ‘stop that’s gay’.” In 2010, he made another tweet asking why Damien Wayans’ profile picture looks “like a gay bill board for AIDS.” There are actually dozens of awful tweets like these — he used to be very fond of calling people “gay” as an insult, and of the phrase “no homo.” He also used to be very quick to call someone a “f-g.” Kevin did stop talking like this on Twitter in 2011, which was also the year he got famous when one of his stand-up specials got popular — make of that what you will. He also made questionable statements during a 2010 comedy special. “One of my biggest fears is my son growing up and being gay,” he said then. “That’s a fear.” “Keep in mind, I’m not homophobic. Be happy. Do what you want to do. But me, as a heterosexual male, if I can prevent my son from being gay, I will.” So all of this is pretty bad, right? This isn’t the first time these comments have resurfaced, but since hosting the Oscars is such a big deal, this is the first time they’ve gotten this much attention. And Kevin did not appreciate it. In an Instagram post he made yesterday, he implored anyone reading to “Stop looking for reasons to be negative.” He wrote that he is “truly happy,” and that there is “NOTHING” that will change that. “If u want to search my history or past and anger yourselves with what u find that is fine with me,” he continued. “You LIVE and YOU LEARN & YOU GROW & YOU MATURE. Please take your negative energy and put it into something constructive.” The whole post was weird because he was criticizing other people for being upset over the genuinely terrible things that he said . And his next post was even weirder. Several hours after the previous post, he shared this video: Kevin Hart: I Won’t Apologize for Homophobic Jokes! As he explained, he’d just gotten a call from the Academy “and that call basically said, ‘Kevin, apologize for your tweets of old, or we’re going to have to move on and find another host.'” He refused to apologize. He refused because, as he said, “I’ve addressed this several times. This is not the first time this has come up. I’ve addressed it/ I’ve spoken on it.” “I’ve said where the rights and wrongs were. I’ve said who I am now versus who I was then. I’ve done it. I’ve done it.” And because of that, he’s not going to “continue to go back and tap into the days of old, when I’ve moved on and I’m in a completely different space in my life.” He also said that since people took the time to find all those awful things he said, they could have also spent time to find newer statements he’s made discussing why he made those comments in the first place. “We’re feeding the internet trolls and we reward them,” he complained. “I’m not going to do it, man.” He finished by saying that regardless of what happens next, he’s “thankful for the opportunity” to host the Academy Awards. So what happened next? He got fired. Well, he didn’t get fired — late last night, he tweeted “I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year’s Oscars.” To elaborate, he wrote “This is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists.” And despite what he said in that video that he shared shortly before these tweets, he did apologize for his old comments. “I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past,” Kevin said. “I’m sorry that I hurt people.” “I am evolving and want to continue to do so. My goal is to bring people together not tear us apart.” He concluded with “Much love & appreciation to the Academy. I hope we can meet again.” All right, so Kevin is no longer hosting the Oscars because he made several offensive comments in the past that he refused to apologize for. It all seems so silly, doesn’t it? The Academy Awards are a very big deal, and it’s also a very big deal for a comedian to be asked to host them. On top of that, all those things he said really were terrible, no matter how long ago he said them or what his intentions were or how much he’s grown since then. So why was it such a huge deal for him to apologize? Especially when he ended up apologizing anyway after already losing the job. Kevin Hart, just do better next time, OK? It sincerely is not as difficult as you seem to think it is.
We covered a lot on this week's The Real Housewives of New Jersey recap , but one moment in particular merits further examination. Teresa totally flipped her s–t at Jackie Goldschneider when the latter touched on a very sensitive subject. Don't rub it in Teresa's face that her husband is in prison. She knows. And she will end you. Jackie Goldshneider has made a catastrophic mistake. But this The Real Housewives of New Jersey clip begins with an argument between Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga. Teresa believes that Melissa's husband, Joe Gorga, has not been spending enough time with their father, Giacinto Gorga. Giacinto is in poor health, and Teresa feels that Melissa could be doing more to Melissa does not enjoy being told how to manage her marriage. And she is not shy about expressing that. “I don’t wanna be told how to convey something to my husband,” Melissa says. “My marriage is strong,” she affirms. “It’s good for a f–king reason.” “We talk,” Melissa states. “And that’s it!” “Nobody tells me how to speak to my husband,” she announces. “Not my sister-in-law. Not my mother. No one!” That sounds firm enough, right? This is where Jackie makes her fatal error. See, Melissa isn't getting anywhere with Teresa. Teresa, in the mean time, seems to feel that Melissa should be able to simply control her husband, or his emotions. Now, we're not saying that emotional manipulation isn't a time-honored marital tradition, for better for for worse. But Jackie thinks that it's absurd that Teresa is suggesting that Melissa should be able to play her husband like a fiddle. In an effort to highlight how little wives can actually control the actions or feelings of their husbands, Jackie brings up a very sensitive topic. Joe Giudice is in prison (and, in fact, will very likely be deported in the spring of 2019). Jackie goes a little too far in trying to prove her point. “I’m sorry,” Jackie begins. “With all due respect,” Jackie says. “Do you really feel like your husband would be in jail right now if you could control what he did?” Oh no . The immediate tension that follows is palpable. Everyone seems to be in disbelief at what Jackie just asked, and is waiting nervously for Teresa's reaction. Even Jackie herself covers her mouth with her hand, as if she is filled with instant regret and perhaps a degree of dread. The entire room braces themselves for Teresa's response. “Why are you bringing up my husband and where he is?” Teresa demands to know. She does not like to verbally acknowledge her husband's incarceration if she can help it. Teresa cannot help but take Jackie's words as a personal attack. “How dare she throw it in my face that my husband’s away,” Teresa tells the camera. Teresa asks: “Who the f–k does this b–ch think she is?” Jackie, of course, was just trying to point out that wives cannot control their husbands. But she really pushed the envelope in her effort to prove that. Joe is a touchy subject, and with his looming and seemingly inevitable deportation, that's only going to become worse. Don't push Teresa Giudice's buttons, folks. You might lose your button-pushing fingers.
A new professional football league apparently spearheaded by former Black players was announced Thursday, amid turmoil in the National Football League over its athletes protesting racism by kneeling during the national anthem. See Also: NFL Makes New Rule That Players Can’t Kneel Against Racism, Or Else Former NFL running back Ricky Williams broke the news about the Freedom Football League on ESPN’s “Outside the Lines.” Approximately 100 “stakeholders,” including 50 former NFL players, are starting the league. The owners include Terrell Owens , Simeon Rice and Mike Alstott , ESPN reported. In describing the mission of the league, Williams hinted that it would permit players to protest. “We’re trying to develop young men. You can’t take away their voice and expect them to develop. … When I grew up watching football, I really wanted to be like Jim Brown , not because of what he did on a field, but because he could take that platform and have a voice. And so, when I got to the NFL, expecting that to be the case, anytime a big social issue came up, we were told, ‘Be quiet. … It’s a distraction.’ And so, really, [we’re] changing the conversation,” he said. He started a movement at the expense of his professional football career. In response to the backlash from many fans, the NFL announced in May 2018 a ban on players kneeling during the national anthem, but later suspended enforcement of new rules. It’s not clear how the Freedom Football League will manage that issue. But Williams offered a clue. “The purpose of this league … is about community and the development of players,” Williams stated. “… In thinking about creating this league, I wanted to create a league that I could have stayed in and been comfortable and really thrived. The NFL started a long time ago, and since then a lot of things have changed. And we want to create a league that’s ready for that change and invite some more of it.” The new league is slated to have 10 teams that would play in the spring and summer. It wants to attract high-quality players from college, high school and international leagues—as well as NFL defectors. Funding for the Freedom League would come from private and public sources, which enables fans to become part owners. There have been many rumors about Meghan Markle of late. Some outlets have claimed she will soon pose nude . Others have written that she’s in the Queen’s doghouse due to her fugly clothing . We can’t confirm or deny these pieces of chatter, but we do know the following… … Meghan Markle is definitely pregnant! We know this because the Duchess herself has confirmed it, of course. But we also know it because we got a glimpse of Markle’s midsection when she stepped out with Prince Harry at the Royal Variety Performance in London on Monday. As you can see by the photos above and below, the Duchess is very much showing at this point, by which we mean: HELLO THERE, BABY BUMP!!!!! The aforementioned event happened to fall on Markle and Harry’s six-month anniversary, making it extra special for the world to really get its first look here at the couple’s growing child-to-be. And Meghan obviously isn’t hiding anything at this point, either, as she was spotted cradling her precious baby bump on multiple occasions while out and about. Harry and his gorgeous wife attended the annual televised event to support the Royal Variety Charity, which benefits hundreds of UK entertainers in need of help and assistance due to old age, ill-health or difficult times. It’s an admirable cause. The famous and beloved twosome recently wrapped up their first official tour as a married couple, capping it off with what many consider to be the most stunning maternity ever snapped by anyone ever. He didn’t say anything about the baby on board for him and Markle, but this has become the norm for most Royal Couples. They announce the pregnancy through Kensington Palace and then try their hardest not to feed into the paparazzi frenzy surrounding the impending birth. Like Prince William and Kate Middleton before them, Meghan and Harry are just trying to mostly lay low and prepare for parenthood at this point. Back in mid-October, the Palace released a statement that read: Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public. Brace yourselves, celebrity gossip lovers. It’s about to get really doggone cute in here! For the first time since the christening of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third child in July, a new photo of the six-month-old Royal Baby has been released to the public. In the image down below – which has gone viral for very understandable and adorable reasons – little Louis grabs hold of the hand of his grandfather, Prince Charles. The scene first appeared in the BBC One documentary, Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70 . As you’re about to see, Middleton is all smiles in a navy-and-white polka-dot dress as she cradles a baby who looks to have much darker hair than siblings George and Charlotte. This isn’t the clearest image of Louis himself, of course, but we’ll take what we can get when it comes to this special cutie… Kate and William are arguably the most famous parents on the planet. They welcomed Prince George on July 22, 2013 and then his sister on May 2, 2015. Louis then entered this familial picture on April 23 of this year. We’re not about to compare the children or anything, but it does look like each was blessed with a pair of very pinch-worthy cheeks. In the aforementioned documentary, meanwhile, William talks openly his father, stating that Prince Charles is “brilliant” with his grandchildren. It’s an unusual glimpse into the most fascinating and often-discussed family in the world. At one point in the special, William also says he wishes that his dad would slow down enough to be able to spare more time for them. “It’s something I’m working more heavily on, put it that way,” Williamt tells BBC One this week, adding: “I think he does have time for it, but I would like him to have more time with the children.” Charles’ wife, Camilla, also chimed in on this topic. She said the following about her husband and how he acts with the young people close in his life: “He will get down on his knees and crawl about with them for hours, you know making funny noises and laughing and my grandchildren adore him, absolutely adore him. “He reads Harry Potter and he can do all the different voices and I think children really appreciate that.” On a related note, Charles is about to become a grandfather for the fourth time because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will welcome their first kid in the spring. The CFDA Fund usually goes to whoever is next to BLOW up in the fashion, and even though Pyer Moss has been socially conscious in their clothing (calling out police violence against Black people and mental health), Vogue awarded Kerby a $400,000 prize. This is a radical choice compared to past winners like Alexander Wang and Billy Reid, but it’s about DAMN time. If you can remember, Issa was wearing the designer at the CFDA awards earlier this year, with the words “every ni**a is a star” etched into her belt. They wrote: Designer Kerby Jean-Raymond accepted the award from actress Emily Blunt. His collections have been lauded for their celebration of black culture in America, landing on Vogue ’s best collections of Spring 2019 list. As the winner, Jean-Raymond will receive a $400,000 prize. The runners up for this year’s awards were Emily Adams Bode of menswear label Bode and womenswear label Jonathan Cohen, who will will $150,000 each.
